Staff Clueless about Burpple Deal My overall experience at this establishment was unsatisfactory. Both the service and the food quality fell below expectations, with no notable redeeming qualities—aside from the iced lemon tea, which was decent. I visited primarily due to a Burpple deal for the noodle set. When I attempted to apply the Burpple deal at payment, I was informed - rather rudely - that 1) I should have said earlier, and 2) she was not aware of any such deal. Another staff I asked was also clueless about the Burpple deal. This was frustrating, particularly since the deal was the main reason for our visit. Be that as it may, I thought the Noodle Set B ($10.30) was quite value for money given that you get a good bowl of minced pork noodles plus a drink and ice jelly dessert. However, my partner clearly disliked her Dry Mala and I had to agree - the boiled ingredients were subpar and the sesame-chilli mix sauce was not to our tastes. Given the subpar experience, would caution against coming to this place for the dry mala. The noodle set might be worth your while, however.

荤燃面 Marinated Pork Noodles w Sichuan Sauce [$6] These noodles were topped with marinated pork, chopped peanuts, spring onions and preserved sour vegetables. We quite like the mix of tangy and savoury flavours here, but found the noodles a tad dry and clumpy - it was better after we added in the side soup. Spice level is customisable too. Sichuan Jelly w Rose 玫瑰冰粉 ($2.80) Fragrant rose-flavoured ice jelly with a floral, delicate sweetness. Be sure to mix well, as the rose flavour is concentrated at the bottom.

Noodles with Braised Pork Chop 大排面 The pork chop came with bones, which made it more tricky to eat than I’d like. The noodles were alright, nice and chewy, but the sauce felt too mild and lacked the rich, punchy flavour I was expecting. Overall, it just didn’t come together as I thought it would 》$9.20

Oriental Wanton with Black Vinegar & Chilli Oil 红油三鲜馄饨 Was hoping for more from this. The wanton skin was way too thick, making each bite feel heavy and doughy. The vinegar and chilli oil were there, but the flavours still felt muted. Without that punch of heat and tang, the whole dish ended up feeling pretty underwhelming 》$8.60

Pan-Fried Bun Platter 生煎双拼 Crispy on the outside, bursting with flavour on the inside. The pan-fried bun platter features two signature pan-fried crispy pork soup buns and two prawn pan-fried buns. The pork soup buns are bursting with rich, delicious broth (bite carefully to catch every drop). The prawn buns offer a lighter, subtly sweet contrast, still juicy but with a bouncy bite. Both deliver that golden, crackly base that makes pan-fried buns so irresistible. Best enjoyed fresh and piping hot 》$8.60

Local spin to cafe classics Copped a 1-for-1 Signatures Mains Chope voucher during one of their sales. A pretty unique and aesthetic cafe serving an all-day breakfast menu and a wide selection of reimagined local faves. We had the Full Breakfast ($23) and the Dry Laksa Supreme ($22). The Full Breakfast had some interesting components like the curry sour cream and the sakura ebi rosti, but ultimately the entire dish fell a little bit flat in terms of flavours. The dry laksa fared better and I quite liked the laksa reduction - don't expect the creamy laksa sauce here - which went well with the juicy prawns and scallops. The ikura was an interesting choice of sprinkles too, although I think the fishiness it added was a bit off-putting. Would I return? Perhaps, if only to sample their other local renditions of cafe bites.

Spicy Fried Chicken Here comes the main food on the table, covered with lots of chili and underneath you find lots of fried chicken pieces to enjoy. They are all in small pieces so you could enjoy them easily. Not too spicy for me.

Eggs with Tomato Needed some soupy food so gotten this one. Fluffy omelette mixed together with lots of tomato slices.

Organic Cauliflower with Pork Didn’t expecting the portion would be so big but thankfully 3 of us managed to finish them. Lots of cauliflower there, stir fried together with chili and sliced pork.
