For a newly launched @burpplebeyond set for 2, there were 10 dishes with free-flow rice and a decanter of drink. The sheer length of this set looked impressive. It included their delicious braised pork belly and Mei Cai, sous vide Wagyu steak, burnt chilli chicken and fried chicken, Kao Rou, steamed prawns, mermaid fish with plum powder. And there was the braised cabbage with bamboo shoots that were really yummy. The meal would end with red tea jelly if there was still space in the stomach for it. It was a very comprehensive set with lots of meat, seafood and vegetables. Perfect set to sample most of the popular dishes at @thesaltedplumsg except that they weren’t of sampling sizes. In fact, we felt that this set was even good to feed 4. In summary, it was of amazing value on top of the great flavours.

Not rly worth it Food here is kinda overpriced n really oily maybe it’s the night we visited but pretty disappointed cos reviews seemed rather promising. All the food comes in $5/$10/$15 but tbh the stuff that looks good predominantly falls under the $15 section. Total bill was $73 for 2 ppl n it was Zichar so rly not worth imo

Burnt Chilli Chicken Rice Bowl ($10++) The Salted Plum is one of the more popular lunch places in the area for their value for money lunch deals on their rice bowls. The Burnt Chilli Chicken Rice Bowl is filled with generous chunks of charred chicken which packed serious heat while staying tender on the inside. Mix all of that together with the onsen egg and the rice to get a winning combination. Note: Rice bowls only available for weekday lunch

For Delicious Build-Your-Own-Bowls in the CBD Make note of this spot on Cecil Street for quick, customisable lunches. Their Small bowls ($8.90, or 1-for-1 with #BurppleBeyond) includes a base, protein, three sides, one topping and sauce of your choice. Keep it healthy with Japanese brown rice as your base, and tender chicken breast for protein. Burppler Zac Lee recommends adding on their creamy and smooth broccoli purée for an extra fifty cents, while Burppler Gan Zhang Xun suggests topping it off with their kale chips for an earthy bitterness. Pay Per Portion Fully customizable bowl e.g any combination of carbs/protein/sides. Pay per portion concept that you are able to select the exact portions of the type of ingredients. Competitive pricing compared to other grain/salad bowls around the area. Order online for calorie counting feature (excellent for weight watchers). Would recommend: Broccoli purée (amazing!)

YOBO Grain Bowl Newly opened grain bowl place located on the 2nd floor of Frasers Tower. There’s an ongoing 30% off on all orders at the place or through their website until 11 Oct. The baked crusted dory was crunchy and flavorful but the honey soy chicken could’ve been better seasoned. For the sides, they seemed to be running low after lunch service and ran out of pumpkin and brinjal. The broccoli purée was very super creamy and smooth and the kimchi was good too though abit too salty. As for the toppings the kale chips added this earthy bitterness that blended well with the entire bowl and the garlic aioli was super strong and garlicky. Good stuff overall and serving size is better than other grain bowl places

delicious, unique steaks 1) 400 Day Grain Fed Crossbred Wagyu Deckle, MS 8/9 ($65, 300g) Got ourselves front row seats to the flame grill action at their open concept kitchen. Impeccable char, insides done to a consistent medium rare perfection. The deckle is the cap around the ribeye, and is just jam-packed with flavour. 2) Auskobe Wagyu Onglet, MS 4/5 ($40, 200g) Another more obscure cut of steak, the onglet is crazy tender, with most of the flavour and all of the char and perfection of its more expensive sibling 3) Sides: Creamed Kale ($8), Truffle Fries ($7) Great companions, but was honestly too stuffed and satisfied by the steaks to enjoy them fully. Creamed kale was consistently creamy and appealed to this kale-hater, and the shoestring truffle fries were crisp to the end. 4) Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($12) I'm no cheesecake aficionado but this was perhaps the fluffiest cheesecake I've had. Paired with some strawberry compote and passionfruit reduction and it goes to the next level.

Stockyard Wagyu Marble Score 4/5 Onglet ($38) Charcoal Grill Beef Cut with a generous portion; it was tender and juicy, super yummy especially when paired with the juicy round tomatos that burst in my mouth.

Lobster Penne Pasta A weekly main for the restaurant's Executive Set Lunch... Honest opinion is damn worth the price of $29.90 (gst not included yet) It comes with a free flow of salad bar items, soup and bread, 3 choices of mains (I chose the Lobster Penne Pasta) and for the finale with a choice of any tea or coffee (cold/hot) If you are working at CBD, definitely is worth the visit...

Australian Wagyu Striploin Steak ($68). You know how crazy the lunchtime crowd at CBD can get, but you probably didn't know that there's this quaint restaurant located in the midst of all the mayhem, along Shenton Way on the 7th floor of Oakwood Premier OUE Singapore. 🔸 The lunch set menu starts from around $30, but I must also recommend this juicy steak with a crisp herby crust. This well-marbled wagyu from Queensland was seasoned with pink Himalayan salt and herbs and seared till the meat is juicy, succulent and tender. To complete the meal, it was served with grilled asparagus, portobello mushrooms and cheesy polenta. 🔸 Besides this, they serve good Crispy Chicken Wings with Truffle Maple Drizzle ($12), and some newly launched dishes such as Vegetable Fritters ($8); St. Louis-Style Barbecue Pork Ribs ($36); Pan-Seared Salmon ($34); and Vongole Pasta ($26). 🔸 [Tasting] #oakwoodpremier #foodphotography #fujixh1 #exploresingapore #burpple #singaporeinsiders #eatoutsg #foodiegram #sgfood #foodsg #instasg #foodstagram #instafood #instafood_sg #hungrygowhere #cafesg #foodgasm #sgfoodblogger #vscofood #sgig #cafehoppingsg #stfoodtrending #flatlay #sgdinner #dinnersg #appetizer #cbdeats #burpproved #wagyusteak #burpplesg

Immalty Zest $6.80nett Burpple 1 for 1. Very friendly staff at the outlet who will also introduce the different kinds of honey they sell in tubs! Interesting varieties and some I’ve never tried before. I’ve also learnt new knowledge such as lychee honey (from Thailand) does not have a lychee flavour but it’s from the plant! So it doesn’t taste like lychee at all! Some of them have really distinctive tastes that you will either like a lot or dislike. Interesting place to get your 🍯 fix! This drink was not as nice as Manuka Passion if I’d have to compare both. The honey is slightly more intense with a deeper taste. But I love aloe Vera so I chose this initially.
