Grilled Prawns Pesto Pasta ($23) Finally made it down to Eleven Strands after hearing so much about it! & boy did they not disappoint. Thanks to Burpple beyond, we managed to get our pasta at 1 for 1! We ordered the Grilled Prawns Pesto Pasta and Squid Ink Pasta, with a side of truffle Kombu fries & it was quite a full meal! I love that they gave us the option of choosing our choice of pasta. I decided on fusilli as I wanted every curve and angle to hold on to the pesto sauce. As the plate touched the table, I knew I was in for a treat! I first caught slight hints of toasted pine nuts & with every mouthful of pasta, the flavours grew more! Their version was pesto was on a lighter side and they added a pretty generous amount of olive oil, however, it wasn’t too oily. Even after finishing up the bits of pasta and prawns, I used the fries to wipe up the remaining puddle of oil as it was just soooo tasty!

Braised Beef Cheeks Decadent mash w flavourful stewed beef. Bacon gave an extra bite. Well worth a beyond redemption. Beef abit gamey tho

Truffle Kombu Fries ($15) Finally got the chance to visit Eleven Strands, the sibling cafe of popular joint, South Union Park! Just a stone throw away from Serangoon Stadium, Eleven Strands serves up French fusion items which sounds fancy but hits all the right spots! One of them would be the Truffle Kombu Fries! Upon serving, you wouldn’t expect the whiffs of truffle oil like most truffle fries have, but the subtle flavours of truffle can be tasted on each fry! Every piece also comes generously coated with kombu, which is a sort of kelp (aka seaweed). It also comes with a side of truffle kombu sauce which packs a whole punch of truffle, without being too much of an overkill.

For Hearty Burgers in Tanjong Pagar Jot this new burger joint in Duxton down for date nights. Available till October 21st is The Most Expensive Burger In Singapore ($250) that's made with a 24-karat gold leaf covered bun, butter poached lobster tail, pan-seared Foie Gras, Japanese Kobe wagyu, champagne braised shallots, black truffle and caviar (all proceeds will go to The Children’s Charities Association of Singapore). If you're unable to catch it, pop by anyway and try their Singapore Fling ($35) for wagyu beef topped with crab meat or the Hangover Burger ($27.50) with black Angus beef, grilled pancetta, a sweet red wine onion compote and a sunny-side up — both doused in Lombardo's homemade burger sauce. Tried out the Amsterdam #burger resto serving up #Singapore's most expensive burger at $250 (proceeds to charity, third pic for the golden bun) the other day. We got just the regular #cheeseburger tho, which featured a seedy bun from @tiongbahrubakery and such tender, juicy #beef patty, it makes eating meat worthwhile. No complaints, solid stuff. Roast Chicken 15.9++(used Burpple Beyond) This wasnt on our menu maybe cos it's printed wrongly as the other menu had it. So make sure you're not ordering rosemary roast Chicken instead It's basically your hawker centre chicken rice stall roasted chicken, but done to, dare i say, perfection. The meat was so succulent and the crust was so crispy, that i was impressed from the first bite. Really generous portion as well and served with the usual dark soy, ginger paste and chili like your chicken rice stall. Their ginger paste is very mild in a good way, and i really liked their chili as it wasnt too spicy and had a strong citrus profile. Top 2 roasted chicken I've had all year, it's no wonder they so quickly crossed 1000 wishlists. This one's for the books

Salivating chicken 15.9++ A misnomer considering it's closer to your mala Hotpot spices, though different nonetheless. There's a very strong numbing taste and the heat lingers as well, but quite appetizing though not in the same way as MLXG There's just enough sauce to coat the inaniwa udon perfectly as well(most of the sauce lie at the bottom of the bowl thats why it looks so mild on top) Perfect portion for 1 and chicken was done well. The chicken breast was quite smooth and tender. A hearty dish but not as impressive as their roast chicken

Ckn Thigh 2.8++ NO MORE CHICKEN SATAY Dk why but their chicken thigh was really good also. Well crusted and crispy on the outside, and really juicy inside, it's only overshadowed by the other two incredible skewers

Even though we read some reviews and went with little expectations, we were delighted to find another tomato broth that we liked other than HDL. With their handmade noodles, this was a satisfying dish for a simple meal. The tender Wagyu beef cubes were a good combination, though we wished there were more of it. To make the meal more complete, their Tobiko prawn balls would be a good add-on. Their chilli tofu with century egg, on the other hand, makes an appetising starter for those who enjoy spicy. Comparatively, we didn’t like their beef broth as much as the tomato broth, due to the distinct beef taste which was a little gamey. We would return for the tomato broth noodles, much more with existing discounts on several apps.

Vinaigrette Ebiko Prawn Paste Dry Noodle You know it is good when you cane for the second time. I really enjoy the texture of their noodle, even for the dry version. The prawn paste comes in separate bowl together with small portion of tomato soup. If you looking for some spicy side dish, go for their tofu with century egg to add on the taste.

Vinaigrette Ebiko Prawn Paste Noodle Tomato Soup Thanks to Burpple Beyond for having 50% off last month, I got the chance to visit this noodle shop. I really like their tomato soup so much as it was so delicious that I finish the whole bowl of it. You can choose the type of noodle which I got the normal type. The prawn paste was huge portion. Get the set meal to complete your meal with a side dish and drink. If you missed the 50% discount promotion last month, no worry as you still can enjoy one for one deal here.

Wagyu Katsu “Wagyu(y you) choose this” - immediate question that comes to mind each time someone orders tempura, katsu beef, chicken or pork because I feel beef, when fully cooked (& fried!) are gone to waste. After all, how could beef be...fully cooked 😕😕😕 Here, I’ve confirmed with the waiter that the beef is “fried to medium” before I apprehensively confirmed my order. -And was thereafter surprised by it! While looks wise, it isn’t very apparent that the interior is pinkish, taste wise, it’s crispy, juicy and not at all tough. Definitely closer to the texture of a beef patty (served medium) than a fully cooked beef. So 👏🏻 for serving this well! This comes with 1 juicy prawn tempura, and a side of greens. While the rice was plain, there’s a side of sesame dip (meant for the tempura) which you can glaze over your rice with! 😋

Roast Beef Don Seared beef slices in pretty generous portions, served on a bed of Japanese rice and topped with Onsen egg - it was too runny and it broke before we could poke it through ourselves! ☹️ There’s also a fence of lettuce surrounding the rice, and beef - to which the carnivore boyf found unnecessary. I think it does help create a balance meal tho! On the 🥩, it’s lightly roasted. Hms, the boyf loves it but I’d prefer seared steak slices which are thicker, instead of the steak strips here tho! It was kinda too chewy
