Buttermilk fried chicken Crispy and boneless. Actual serving has 4 pieces. We also ordered Cheddar cheese bacon waffles and it was delicious. We use burpple 1 for 1 dinner set which the dessert was carrot cake $8 and no other choice. Nice place to chill.

Trio Dip Sampler Greeted with Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar’s refreshed menu, I have found a new love that is DIPS - specifically their Zesty Hummus and Taramasalata Dip! Offered during dinner, the Trio Dip Sampler ($27) comes with 3 dips and a bread basket. Totally yummus, the Zesty Hummus Dip ($9/ala carte) was delicately nutty and tangy; thanks to the notes of bright, fresh lemon zest. The chickpeas and tahini blend was also rendered smooth, not overly gritty like some others. Another healthy and delicious vegetarian dip is their La Bomba Veggie Dip ($9/ala carte). Well-balanced in the roasted red peppers department, it includes eggplant, mushrooms, and tickle of spice from the use of jalapeños. To counter the heat, dig into the recommended Taramasalata ($10/ala carte), a savory smoked cod roe dip topped with chives. Enjoying the umami goodness, I was utterly impressed by the flavour combination and superbly creamy consistency. Not forgetting the crusty homemade sourdough and crispy sesame lavosh ($3/basket) which proved to be perfect vehicle for swiping swathes of dip into the mouth. Thank you Burpple for the invite, Nassim Hill Bakery for feeding us as well as Brenda and Audrey for hosting us!

Kaya & Chocolate Donuts At $3.80++ each, these donuts were sinfully good! They were more on the cakey side. A lot of time and effort was put into making the kaya from scratch at the bakery and you could taste the fruitfulness of their hard work! It was a little on the sweeter side but maybe that's because I had it after the chocolate, which was less sweet than the kaya. A decadent dessert to end the day! Thanks to Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar for hosting the eatup so graciously and generously! Also, thanks to Burpple for the invite!

👉Beef Cheek Burgundy👈 A recent addition to the food scene at Amoy Street is @mpiresingapore, a western-fusion dine & bar serving mouthwatering mains that complement their array of booze. You can take a tour in their very own private chiller room where they store their collection of wine in a well-controlled environment 🤩. 。 What stood out to me most was their entire chunk of beef cheek burgundy. Its fork-tender red wine-braised meat fell apart upon contact and was nicely seasoned. Paired with a pile of creamy mash and you will have that perfect main course that can satisfy anyone! 。 Thank you @dawnchansg for extending the invite and @mpiresingapore for having me 🙆‍♂️! 。 P.S. Finger Lickin Good Bbq meat Truly enjoyed the food here, and better with Burpple 1 for 1 (it is a little pricey). Perfectly cooked ribs and brisket. Melt in your mouth, full of flavour! We also got the fried mac and cheese... so decadent and yummy. Recommend! (Or another side, as the meat mains only come with slaw - which is also really yummy). Wish they had a bigger beer selection though.

Beef Brisket 200g ($32) & Drink ($12) My bf and I both ordered the beef brisket and beer using the 1 for 1 deal! Food was great, but I wouldn’t come if I have to pay full price. I will definitely come back again using the burpple deals!

Lemon Meringue Tart ($7) & Smoked Peanut Butter Chocolate ($4) This photo probably doesn’t do justice to these desserts but this my friends, made the perfect ending to a super hearty meal! Featured is the Homemade Lemon Meringue Tart ($7) & in the background, Smoked Peanut Butter Chocolate ($4). First, about the lemon meringue tart; thick lemon curd is layered on perfectly baked crust before being topped with fresh meringue & torched upon order! The ratio of meringue, curd & tart was just right! Only wished the curd was a lil more tangy tho, otherwise, all’s good! As for the chocolates, please don’t doubt it’s appearance. It’s like 2 flavourful pops of peanut butter (think Reese but x10 flavour). Sprinkled with a pinch of sea salt each, the pop of chocolate was the perfect sweet savoury ending I needed. P/S; thanks to #burpplebeyond, I managed to get this 1 for 1, as part of the Main & Dessert combo!! 🥳🥳 #aroundwithamd #burpple

I’m so HORgging onto this HORseh (satisfying) bowl of HORfun! 💕 This is my first time trying Crispy Hor Fun so this dish at @enjoyeatinghouse was really innovative to me! 😍😍😍 (NOT sponsored hor! 😂) @happiersg later shared that Sinpopo also has a rendition, while Google yielded results of other zichar stalls that also offered crispy horfun. Nevertheless, this sure was a satisfying bowl! ❤ . Served in a stone pot to retain its warmth, Silky Egg Crispy Hor Fun ($11.80++) features crispy fried wide rice noodles with prawns 🦐, pork & shitake mushrooms 🍄 in a rich, silky egg sauce. 🍳 . Honestly, the crispy hor fun was reminiscent of wanton skin to me. 😋😋😋 When not in contact with the egg gravy, the horfun was absolutely crispy & exuded an alluring fragrance & ultimate crunch that I was so drawn to! 💕 When doused with the gravy which was a smooth concoction that has inherited the ultimate fragrance of the fried horfun & full of eggy aroma 🍳, the horfun became soft starchy pieces that were still extremely flavourful. 🤤 . I cannot emphasise enough on how generous the chefs are with the ingredients 💯 - there were 2 springy prawns 🦐, 2 earthy shitake mushrooms 🍄, some crunchy Kai Lan greens 🥬, & many succulent pork slices! 🐖 So much that you are guaranteed an accompanying side with every spoon of horfun! For the price tag, this is really quite value for money! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 & enjoy 1-for-1 on #burpplebeyond! ✔ . Overall, I think this is a really comforting bowl of horfun that will fill both your tummy & your happiness meter up! 😊 HOR seh la! 👍🏻

🎶Cuz all of BEE, loves all of HOON~ Love your curves & all your edges, all your perfect imperfections~🎶 Among all the yummy dishes that @enjoyeatinghouse offers, this plate of Grandma’s “Te Kah” Bee Hoon ($11.80) is undoubtedly the TOP PICK, not just for me but everyone else! ❤❤❤ . I’m sure Chef Joel has made his dearly departed grandmother really proud ✔ by inheriting her secret recipe & making this a star on the table. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ . The braised pork leg is home-made from scratch, painstakingly cooked for long hours to yield the pull-apart tenderness that we enjoy in every plate. 🤤🤤🤤 The right cut of pork leg used is also critical in achieving the perfect lean-fat ratio - I mean, collagen! 🐷 Liked that the meats weren’t fatty, & the thick skin had such a nice chew (not tough at all)! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 . Of course the essence of the braised pork is not gone to waste. 💕 After the vermicelli is first wok-fried to inherit the smoky wok-hei, it is doused with the essence that has been reduced into a gravy, allowing the thin noodles to absorb all the savoury elements. 😍😍😍 . Paired with juicy earthy mushrooms 🍄 & some fresh greens 🥬, this was certainly a heart-warming plate with a bust of flavours in every mouth. 😋😋😋

This plate was certainly FISHing for compliments! 😍😍😍 Sorry but my photos really don’t do justice to this Signature Salt Baked Whole Sea Bass ($32.80). 🐟🐟🐟 You probably have no idea how MASSIVE this fish was - about 13 inches? Their whole fishes all weigh in between 800g to 1kg, so you are guaranteed a plump & meaty fish every time! 👏🏻 . Chef Joel shared that their sea bass is sourced from a local seawater farm in the waters of Pulau Ubin that doesn’t use any antibiotics or chemical additives, so you can safely eat with a peace of mind! 💯💯💯 Fresh batches of fish are delivered within hours of harvest to ensure optimum freshness, so when they say FRESH CATCH OF THE DAY, they are not kidding you! 👌🏻 . With quality & freshness of the fish taken care of, it is more than half the battle won. ✔ This version is baked in salt to highlight the freshness & natural sweetness of the fish, just like what you see at Bangkok night markets! 🇹🇭 Besides helping in even cooking from head to tail due to even heat distribution, the salt layer also helps to seal the flavours & juices of the flesh 😋😋😋, yielding an incredibly moist & succulent flesh beneath that crusty skin (which you should not attempt to eat just like me! 😂) . Despite not having additional seasoning, the natural sweetness of the thick & tender flesh is enough to pull it off 💕, which is enhanced after inheriting the fragrance of lemongrass sticks & basil leaves stuffed within. The freshness of the fish is apparent as there is no fishy smell or taste at all. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Especially when paired with Chef’s special Thai-style chilli sauce, this dish was really FISHing good! 🤤 . All you need are simple ingredients & seasoning when you have such quality ingredients. 👌🏻 They also offer other cooking methods such as Teochew Sautéed Fillet ($21.80) cooked with fermented soya bean sauce & ginger. ⭐ Alternatively you can choose to have your sea bass steamed in superior soy sauce, spicy lime, crispy with red curry sauce, or Thai-style assam. 🌶 Priced at $32.80 for a whole BIG fish or $18.80 for sliced fish, this is pretty worth it & good for sharing! ❤

Satisfying Mexican Meal Went to Vatos Urban Tacos and had an extremely heavy carb loaded meal! Went into food coma right after, really ate a lot. But boy, was it good. We bought their Korean Po Boy and Vatos Style (chicken) burritos, their signature Kimchi Carnitas Fries, Barbacoa Jalapeño Spring Rolls, Bacon and Blue Cheese Guacamole (served with tortilla, and there were candied walnuts in the guac which was a nice touch) and lastly, their ever so popular Baja Fish Tacos. $102 dollars worth of amazing food made more affordable by Chope, having purchased their discount voucher during the birthday sale. The food is on the pricier side, but the portions were pretty big! Everything was just too good, including their prompt and professional service! Make this your go to place for Mexican! Rating :5/5

Taco Tuesday made better with Burpple 1-for-1 deal at Vatos Urban Tacos! Off their signature “Urban Tacos”, we got their Baja Fish ($10 for 2 tacos/ $14 for 3 tacos), Chimichurri Chicken tacos ($10 for 2 tacos/ $14 for 3 tacos) to share and two glasses of Sweet Georgia Peach Iced Tea. The more refreshing option of the two, the Chimichurri Chicken was pleasantly spicy with a sweet tangy chimichurri salsa coupled with crunchy lettuce, sour cream and mexican cheese. But the clear winner for me is their tempura beer-battered white fish. Fresh and flaky, the fillets enclosed with the crisp batter were kept moist and was nicely seasoned. The accompanying pico de gallo (salsa) and apple coleslaw adding a lovely sweetness and bite while cutting the richness of the fish. The bit of heat from the chipotle mayo smeared over the soft tortillas was also a nice touch.

Carne Asada Quesadilla ($19) Back at vatos after my first visit for the burpple year end party, and decided to order the quesadillas because i remembered liking them alot. The 4 pieces didn't seem like much, but perhaps due to the thickness of the wrap and the richness of the cheese, was actually quite a substantial meal. Preciously tried the kimchi pork and loved it, but the carne asada that i decided to try this time round was a little disappointing. While being super flavourful with just the right punch if spiciness, the beef was tough and chewy. I'd recommend to stick with the pork instead which was more tender. Although i liked the food in general, prices here are indeed on the higher end, and i wouldn't dare say that it would have been worth it without burpple beyond
