Definitely Coming Back With brunch options, pastries & coffee, I shall return here again for sure. I'd order at the counter on the 1st floor, & head up the stairs to the 2nd floor to chill my morning/afternoon away. While there aren't many seats in this small space, the floor-to-ceiling windows let in great ambient light to brighten the premises - although unfortunately there isn't much of a view, looking out towards Clementi Road & the neighbouring overpass. There even is an easel for kids (& adults, I suppose) to draw on & express their artistic talents. But I'm happy to just sit in a corner, using their free WiFi & listening to their chill music playlist playing softly in the background. But for now, everyone stay safe & healthy... We'll get through this crazy month together. 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 🍽 Burpple Beyond partner 🍽 Shopback GO partner 📶 Free WiFi available 💦 Water is not chargeable 🙋🏻‍♀️ No service charge 🚫 No GST ⬆️ Seats available on 2nd floor

Fashionable Croissants I'm honestly so glad to have had this unexpected discovery that The M Plot serves more than just macarons! They have cool 1-for-1 macaron deals on Burpple Beyond, & also are sometimes referred to as "The M Plot Macarons" in full, hence my confusion. I bought some croissants home for my family - a sweet & savoury one. The Stego ($4.50 nett) is a roasted almond x almond paste variant, & the Mammoth ($4.90 nett) a pork floss one. IMHO these are priced quite steep, but with Shopback GO's 35% cashback, that eased the pain a little. I bought these as gifts, so I didn't get to try them... But here are some pictures. 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 🍽 Burpple Beyond partner 🍽 Shopback GO partner 📶 Free WiFi available 💦 Water is not chargeable 🙋🏻‍♀️ No service charge 🚫 No GST ⬆️ Seats available on 2nd floor

They Have Brunch Food Here! For my brunch main, I ordered the Organic Eggs Benedict ($18.00 nett), which is served on a single artisan sourdough bread. The 2 eggs were poached to perfection; as I cut into them, the yolks burst open with gusto onto the sautéed spinach & grilled ham underneath. The grilled ham was unfortunately way too salty for me, coupled with the already-tangy Hollandaise sauce, I felt the flavours were very overpowering. If the saltiness could be tweaked a little, I think this would be a stellar dish. The sourdough bread was easy to cut into, without a struggle - which I appreciate. 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 🍽 Burpple Beyond partner 🍽 Shopback GO partner 📶 Free WiFi available 💦 Water is not chargeable 🙋🏻‍♀️ No service charge 🚫 No GST ⬆️ Seats available on 2nd floor

Char Siew Roast Pork Platter Highlights of the dinner at @izyfook the other night! Favorite 4 includes (1) Char Siew; Roast Pork (the golden ratio of fats to meat, sweet caramelised taste for the char siew and crackling good for the roast pork) (2) Superior Prawn Mee Pok (very localized flavors with broth brimming of hei bee flavors) (3) Apollo Roast Half Spring Chicken (very tender with ginger and scallion herbs blend. Hints of spiciness resemblance of that thai flavor.) And (4) Steamed Clams in Dashi (plump sweet clams in a broth filled with sweet umami flavors. Give me some mee sua to go with it!

Easily the most impressive donburi I’ve had of late I wasn’t 100% sure about trying this Wagyu Truffle Don ($34) cause of the steep price, and also cause I ain’t the biggest fan of truffle oil. But then I took a bite, and alright Izy Fook you got me convinced. There’s literally nothing bad I can say about this, nothing for me to pick on. First of all, they used nanatsuboshi Hokkaido rice in this and it was superbly cooked. Moist and just the right amount of sticky, if that makes any sense. Thin slices of wagyu were flavourful, tender, and juicy, with the perfect meat-to-meat ratio. Underneath that hides a slow-cooked egg with a beautiful runny yolk, and when you mix it all up that lends a wonderfully rich flavour to the whole rice bowl. But most importantly, the truffle oil wasn’t overly potent. Just enough to perfume the dish without overpowering everything — and that really sealed the deal for me.

Mentaiko Kaiju Armoury Burger ($24 - 1 For 1) Was craving some good burgers and decided to give the armoury a shot! I ordered the Ohana Burger ($22) while the bf had the Mentaiko Burger ($24, pictured). We also requested to change one of the fries to sweet potato fries (+$2). First impression : serving (of fries) was insanely huge!! Very generous portion and extremely crispy (though I found it to be slightly over fried). We requested for the cheese on my burger to be transferred over to my bf's and they were able to accommodate this request so thumbs up on that! Burger wise, mine was quite okay. The bun was nice and fluffy but still maintained it's toastedness (which I greatly appreciate). However, I feel the sauce and patty was quite forgettable - not bad but not mind blowing. The bf's mentaiko burger was very interesting and the salmon ikura really changed the flavor profile of the burger. Overall, we paid $24 for the meal (no gst, no service charge - huge boon!) Wasn't the best burger we had but definitely extremely value for money, given the taste, ambience and price point. Will be back with the one-for-one again :)

Without doubt, the best grain bowl I’ve ever had. Period. There’s just NOTHING about this Ribeye Bowl ($20) we didn’t enjoy. First off you’ve got the generous portion of well-seasoned Australian ribeye grilled to a perfect medium-rare, super juicy and succulent, boasting those crisp, charred edges we (at least I) all love. Then there’s the creamy and fresh avo dip (very much like a pureed guacamole), poached eggs with the gorgeous runny yolk, and man those soft and tender grilled aubergines were downright tasty. Mix it all up before taking a big bite, and I promise you'll practically fall into nirvana. If anything, their cauliflower rice could do with some improvement. It was way too soft which, when just sitting in all the steam and juices, made it all the more mushy. Also I’m pretty sure the components in our bowl weren’t exactly the ones described on the menu, but idk could be a teething issue with their newly launched lunch service 🤷🏻‍♀️
