For jelyn's birthday, we celebrated at gerry's grill with sugbang kinilaw(her request), nilagang bulalo, bangus sisig, kuhol and chili cheese sticks.
Eager to work with my Nestle Toll House baking ingredients I started with my favorite recipe, the Toll House Pie. Then I realized that we were out of walnutsthat's why I put in hazelnuts instead. Still turned out great!!:)

Today mom and I were finally able to taste some crab cakes from a restaurant by Pier 39 near Fisherman's Wharf which claims to have the best clam chowder in the area, so we had that too and some fish and chips. The clam chowder was good! But i discovered that crab cakes aren't all it's cracked up to be.
