The best dish of Lola's, and one I would come back for: the honey paprika wings. Not too oily, well-flavoured. The Fish & Chips was disappointing to me though, as opposed to its glowing reviews. Didn't quite like the batter, and its consistency was such that it broke into pieces every time I tried to slice it.

Earl grey cream was quite refreshing, and tart still tasted fresh. But I would have liked the pastry to be more flavoured. 3.5/5

My friend ordered this since it was one of the better-recommended dishes here. Presentation was disappointing to be honest, but it was flavourful. Would have preferred it to be softer, but I guess that's why it's not duck confit. Overall 6.5/10

Never had duck confit in a panini version before so it was interesting. It was nice tasting, but in my opinion not worth $19.

Tried the widely-raved-about banana cake which was awesome. Definitely something for banana-lovers. Interesting combination with the peanut butter spread on top. Matcha latte was slightly disappointing because it was pretty blend. I like Starbucks' one much better.

Had one of the best cappuccinos with soy milk at The Plain. Liked its thoughtful presentation: coffee art and the red cup. Ambience was rather noisy, but there is a laid back style about it. Will be back for their coffee!

Went to Poulet at Bugis+ for the first time. Service was prompt, though not outstanding. I enjoyed 3 Burpple recommendations: escargot, roast chicken and oxtail. Food was not bad and okay priced. Will not call this place a must-go but worth considering for a pleasant dining experience when in the area.

The Mille Crepe was so smooth and soft that it almost melts in your mouth. A signature dish, and must-try. Was however disappointed with the Strawberry Shortcake as I've tasted much better ones before. The Mango Tart was really special as the passionfruit curd made it tangy and tart. Would recommend it to mango lovers. Overall a good place for chit-chats, but service can be improved.
