Afternoon tea set Tried The Landing Point's afternoon tea last year and it was a nice place to have tea at. Though there were hits and misses for both the savouries and the sweetd, the portions were generous for the price point. The sets were very pretty and the sweets fared better than the savoury items for this menu (though some items were too sweet for my liking). We got @chopesg vouchers for this and it was 30% off which made it a good deal too!

Prices start from S$60 per adult and S$30 per child which includes a one-time serving of afternoon tea items and a pot of TWG tea or Bacha coffee (!!) - with many many chantilly cream please 🙏🏻

Purple afternoon tea Happy International Women’s Day! This was the seasonal special in celebration of ladies. Savoury items were free-flow! Sweets came in 1 portion for each pax and capped at that. Love how the sweets were pretty much flavoured with lavender and/or cassia berry to achieve the purple hue naturally. Of course, it’s not all purple items on the tiers. The savoury items were decent, tho not exceptionally mind blowing. We’re conscious this isn’t Michelin fine dining. So one can’t expect starters / amuse bouche of the standard 😂 We’re definitely pampered by the lil’ delicate bites. Oh, not forgetting the complimentary non-alcoholic rosé in light of women’s day! & the endless refills of coffee and tea which came as part of the tea set.

Cha CA la vong set for 2 35++ Fried in front of you, fish was tender but not the crunchy strongly grilled kind. Overall it's passable but it's forgiven because they have the super smelly shrimp paste that's authentic, lifting this dish out of mediocrity (upon request)

Squid teeth garlic style 25++ It's really the squid beak muscle. Choice of 3 styles, grilled garlic and I forgot the last one Squid beak muscle had a bouncy texture as you would expect. The garlic pork lard mixture with sweetness was smoky and very indulgingly addictive. Super unhealthy but couldn't stop myself Lovely

Fried spring roll noodles bun cha gio 15+ Their fish sauce is V weak No Vietnamese here tonight

Dollar Pancakes With lots of condiments to jazz it up. Indulgence. I love pancakes and pity this place closed.

Savoury Pancakes: Oslo ($18) 2 large pancakes make the base topped with zucchini-skin wrapped smoke salmon flower. The capsicum and onions could be cooked slightly longer to bring out the sweet taste in the vegetables into the fluffy scrambled eggs though. Mini mashed potatoes made the extra side to fill the emptiness on the plate. And a scoop of sour cream. Taste was 7/10, but isn't worth for the price at all.

Paddington House of Pancakes, City Square Mall. Our answer to lack of IHOP in Singapore. Interesting concept to serve pancakes from different culinary traditions such as crepes and Dutch Babies. Savoury and sweet pancakes available, Halal joint so that’s great too. Pancakes are generally fluffy and filling; risk of over-ordering but that’s a new normal these days.

Fresh brewed beverages From Yahava KoffeeWorks Freshly brewed iced matcha latte is a velvety-smooth delight, with just the right hint of sweetness. And freshly brewed long black in a to-go cup, its aromatic goodness fills the air. Loved the interior!

Mocha Even though they are located in this industrial area, need a bit of walk from the nearest bus stop. It doesn’t not stop people coming on the weekend for a cup of coffee. Almost full house when I was here on Saturday afternoon. And you would immediately find yourself in a room filled with good coffee bean fragrance. I went for something sweet in the coffee with the mocha. And interestingly they served it in actually coffee, but added with a big scoop of chocolate ice cream. So it sweetness from the chocolate ice cream will slowly blend into the drink, as it melt.

Semi-House Smoked Chicken Breast at @5senses_sg The chicken breast wrapped with bacon is so tender and juicy. The bacon isn't too salty and matches really well with the moist chicken breast. 👍The dish is served together with mashed potatoes, vegetables and homemade mayonnaise. The dish is delicious but only costs $12.90. If you're looking for a cheap and good western restaurant, you have to try this!

Furikake Fries at @5senses_sg Instead of always getting the same Truffle Fries, we moved over from savoury to something sweet this time. These fries are topped with Seaweed Flakes, Bonito Flakes and Sesame Seeds. The fries with the sweet concoction was pretty good but it's recommended to eat after your mains though 😋

Seafood Aglio Olio Good. Slightly spicy but still alright for me. There is crack mussel shell in the pasta which i bite into. Do be careful

Steak Better Than Most Expensive Ones Outside! Upon entering the shop, it was quite small with limited seats. I suggest you make a reservation in advanced and I did so using the Quandoo app! So convenient. The kitchen was just directly behind the seats, so I think my hair reeked of the cooking smell after I left the shop. But that was okay because... I absolutely love the steak!!! I ordered the ribeye steak which was about $30++ and I must say it was quite a good portion. It also comes with mash, salad and roasted tomatoes, which was very tasty too! I ordered medium rare for the steak and I'm glad it was cooked so well, there was not much of the red juices oozing out. Paired it with the caramelised onion sauce was a good combo. Currently they have a 30% discount during lunchtime from 1-4pm, so the overall bill was worth it! I think their steak quality and cooking skill is much better than most others that are selling at higher prices. Service was okay as well. I'd definitely come back again!

I find that they serve good and affordable steak suitable for casual or family dining, and it's one of the few steakhouses that are halal, yet serving good steaks. 🔸 Pictured is their Cote de Boeuf, and that's a lot of premium beef for only $78. What you see is a 150 days grain fed Black Angus, hand graded to ensure taste, quality and consistency, and served with your choice of sauce - black pepper and mushroom, caramelized onions or spicy vinaigrette. 🔸 Better still, there's a 30% off main courses promotion on weekdays except Tues (closed on Tue) from 1pm to 5pm. You just need to key in your orders before 5pm to enjoy this deal. 🔸🔸 Taken during a tasting.

The Royals Steakhouse 170g Ribeye, medium well is a bit tough. Lose the tenderness. Medium doneness would be much better. The pepper sauce is good but try their onion caramelised sauce.. ($28)Rate:👍🏻

While this cocktail is inspired by honey, the other flavours & smells come together such that this drink isn't too sweet. This was one of my favourites of the night. The charred creaminess of the cheese is very much a delight! The thinly-sliced bread is crispy while not being offendingly hard. As you use it to tuck in, you'll notice a beautifully gooey cheese pull & get a whiff of the fragrance from the chive oil. Quality Food & Service Thoroughly enjoyed myself here. Steak was amazing, go for the ribeye for greater satisfaction! The red wine elevated the taste of the food. Chocolate lava cake was one of the best I have ever had but steak is the star. Look out for promotions as they are usually very value for money! Service is awesome 😎

Black Angus Rib-eye For your info French restaurants has +1 in the done-ness scale. So if you like medium rare, order it medium here. The beef was perfectly cooked and what best thing is you can ask for more free flow fries... The black Angus was so tender and the fats literally just melt easy to chew. It comes with a very big portion of beef which really very filling for the price. Definitely a must try if you are a beef lover
