My morning favourite (only because you can only eat it in the morning from 6am till 11am) At a super cheap price of $2.50/bowl, breakfast is served!

Determined to serve dishes that are unique and reasonably priced, Siang Hee doesn't fail to please. After relocating from its famous Zion Road premises to Serangoon Gardens, the standard is still high, attracting locals by the dozen. Order the signature Tempura Prawns in Spicy Pumpkin Cream, and the super crispy Pork Knuckles that are first pressure-cooked then deep fried..

This humble eatery at the bottom of a HDB block in Ang Mo Kio is always packed on the weekends with families happily tucking in, and with good reason. You'll understand why, once you try their signature dishes - Deep Fried Prawn Ball With Pumpkin & Butter Sauce, Black Currant Sauce Pork Ribs, and Dong Po Pork Belly. With pleasant service and honest, good food, you'll be back.

My favourite order from two chefs asides their drunken cockles and butter ribs. Only because I indulge in salted egg yolk despite the cholesterol that comes along with it's goodness. :( Remember to order more if you're eating with friends cause a small plate isn't really sufficient!

It's a well known dish if you know Two Chefs. Tried it the first time at Sin Ming and in my honest opinion, this one from Commonwealth is way fresher and tastier. This is a must order for cockles lover, the seasoning was just perfect, strewn with finely chopped garlic, chilli padi and spring onions. ๆˆ‘่ฟ˜่ฆใ€‚ใ€‚ใ€‚

Had this some time way back before I joined Burrple and yes it etched a lasting memory on me! I only remembered it was cheese overload and the steak fries were thick enough to justify the generous amount of cheese Spuds & Aprons weren't stingy on. There were three types of cheese (can't remember what they were) but boy were they finger licking good as starters!

Simply adored the earl grey tea and the horlicks infused ice cream to top it on the waffles crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Paired it with chamomile tea to 'hopefully' counter the sinfulness of this very dessert.

Outsourced, similar to the Book Cafe's Oreo cheesecake. Don't miss this tasty, light hearted cheesy cheese cake with crumble top (not really sure what biscuits they use - but it simply complements the cheese!)

Outsourced, this cheesecake is downright sweet to your taste buds and Oreo based for Oreo lovers (who doesn't love Oreos huh?) Three words for cheesecake lovers : YUM YUM YUM :p

Outsourced, the reading room serves great cakes in their quaint and heavenly place for book lovers. Try their crumble top cheese cake and I would believe cakes from the reading room and the book cafe are outsourced from the same place :)

Most cafes serves all day breakfast and the book cafe wasn't an exception! Virgin bite on the eggs black stone sends positive thoughts all around! Though the maple honey bacon gets a little sweet and counter reacts with the rest of the savory taste. Nevertheless still a good choice:) By the way, you'll love the ambience here.
