Being a cafe in a HDB neighbourhood, the exterior of Niche Savoureuse stands out compared to the neighbouring stores. Hazelnut Latte Nested within the heartland at the Caldecott/Braddell area, Niche Savoureuse specialises in artisanal cakes, although they do serve main-course items such as pastas as well! We ordered a hazelnut latte to start and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful latte art, as well as by the generous serving of the drink (the cup was nearly overflowing!). The roasted nutty taste of hazelnut was pretty pronounced, although we were glad that it wasn't too overpowering. It is a pretty comforting drink to start your meal at Niche on a rainy day! 😁

White Carrot Cake ($3.00) I mean, if you don’t want to wait one hour for Chey Sua Carrot Cake (still the best carrot cake, but not worth the wait ☹️) then this is a good alternative. I prefer their black carrot cake though, it’s a mixture of sweet and savoury. I guess something that is usually overlooked is the size of the carrot cake bits. I like how it’s not all tiny and scattered, with some pieces still chunky. It makes it easier to pick up with the chopstick. A good ratio with the egg, with some still clinging to the carrot cake.

The old man has been whipping up this black carrot cake since I was a little boy. back den, the hawker stalls were single story metal roofed maze. it has been over two decades since and the old man isstill standing there bringing delight to our tatse buds. the carrot cake. make sure to order it extra black. unreasonably sweet yet just right for De palate. the eggy remains linger as lumps, clinging onto de carrot cakes. how I'm afraid these ppl would pass on, leaving a void in our culinary world.

Awesome Fishball I have need patronising this store since young. I love their noodles and fishball. The owner is so friendly too! worth the visit. Take note for those big eaters, the portion can be small for you ($3.50 portion).

Mee Pok Fishball Noodle $3.50 Just queued for this mee pok for 30 mins for this takeaway. The amount of noodle is so generous. Really enjoy the bouncy Fishball and the medium spice level 🌶 . We actually prefer this clean seasoning to the high street ones that keep piling on sauces.

Fish Bal Noodle Goes well with chilli and the fishball were very chewy. Something you’d crave and come back again. Would high recommend it for lunch, or even breakfast even!

Char Siew Wanton Mee • $3 One of the best wanton mee I've had! This is my go-to place if I wanted good and affordable char siew. I spontaneously ordered the char siew wanton mee and it was surprisingly good! What I like best is actually the noodles itself. The noodles' texture is incredibly springy yet easy to chew and the dark soya sauce just adds so much flavour to them. It comes with soup which I like to pour onto my noodles from time to time.
