Portobello Burger ($20) A completely vegan restaurant which prioritises health, the food has a very meditarranean taste to it. The surprising thing about this meal was the fact that the burger did not include brioche buns but rather the burger was made by the mushroom itself. Even though some parts may taste bland, together with the dehydrated chips, pineapple and beetroot patty, the burger had a nice sweet tinge. The service is quite good despite the lack of staff. Clarify with the staff how you can use the deals before ordering! They are more than happy to clarify any issues.

Portobello Burger ($20++ U.P.), Zucchini Noodle Carbonara ($16++ U.P.); Both On Burpplebeyond [TLDR Alert] My family and I have bought into the propaganda of Netflix Documentaries- Game Changers and What the Health. What this means is an attempt to maintain a vegan diet (plant based diet) which is difficult with what the F&B scene in SG has available so we give ourselves some leeway of vegetarian options when dining out. But at wholesome savour, the vegan theme is the pride of the menu. Take this portobello burger for example, the large dark mushroom serves as the burger bun with animal free ingredients; the mycoprotien chicken (plant based meat) reminded me of unseasoned mash potatoes which complimented a pleasantly tart beetroot patty. Other delightfully ingredients included the diary free cheese which has sent me stocking up on all the dairy free cheese I’ve found on redmart because I cannot live without cheese and these are some great cheese. Lastly the dehydrated chips will feel like tasty substitutes to your usual chips, warmly welcomed by my mum and I aka crisp lovers. Separately we also had the zucchini carbonara with some savoury coconut bacon and a fun tasty nut sauce. Sadly I found the zucchini noodles too crunchy for my liking because I was expecting noodle texture. All in all, kudos to Burpplebeyond for a vegan treat at an affordable price point.

Negg’s Benedict A good attempt looks-wise in replicating the classic eggs ben. I love the avocado (replacing the egg) but I found the ‘hollandaise sauce’ a little too sourish. Ambience here was nice and generally quiet :) One for one on selected dishes using Burpple beyond

Char is now located at 454 Race Course Road Char Siew + Sio Bak Rice set @$.9.20++ The reason why we go to Char, to eat their Char Siew. Char Siew very Tender will very good fat/Meat Ratio. The sauce was flavourful. Sio Bak skin definitely crispy but the meat a bit dry. The chilli provided was surprisingly good, spicy too. Char is now located at 454 Race Course Road.

Jasmine Roasted Duck 1/4 @$16++ Char is now relocated to 454 Race Course Road. Other then their signature Char Siew, this Roasted Duck is rather not bad. Skin was slightly crispy and the meat was tender and not dry whatsoever.

Good roast pork but stick to the char siew! Char also serves a good roast pork but unlike the char siew, it's really hard to justify paying so much more when you can get comparable roast pork elsewhere.

Best Fries We Have Ever Had ! Alvin's served the most crunchy and tasty French fries we ever had! The beef burger was also very flavorful. Alvin's is on Burpple Beyond 1-for-1 but couldn't be redeemed on Hari Raya Haji, so we used Eatigo instead.

Quattro Formaggi ($23++ U.P.); On Burpplebeyond Another I love burpplebeyond moment when we stumbled upon Alvin’s on the app and were treated to better than usual thin base pizza with a chewy crust towards the circumference. Our chosen accompanying mains of lasagne (not pictured) was less well received with minimal minced meat, a tad too salty tomato paste and thick, slight cluttered pasta sheets. Sure bias toward the pizzas, the next time we visit ✨

10/10 waffles - cereal milk gelato with half charcoal waffles ($10) ok i haven’t had many waffles with ice cream admittedly but i absolutely LOVED these. the gelato was soooo sweet (in a good way, maybe bc i’m a sweet tooth) and was basically a concentrate version of leftover cereal milk. A++ for texture too bc it was siiilky smooth and didn’t melt super fast. charcoal waffles didn’t taste like charcoal (probably a good thing idk), and retained its airy, crispy personality even when the gelato started melting and seeped into the waffles. wafer on top was q good but not the main focus lol would come back when i pass by kap or sumn 💯

Cereal Milk Flavour Got the cereal milk flavour and it’s really nice! Ice cream is creamy and taste of good quality. Will be back to try more flavours and waffles too

The smells are great and complement with cheese on top of the mushroom. But for me bacon and cheese are a bit too heavy together, if it's just bits of bacon might be better for me. US Premium Kurobuta (5/5⭐) US Premium Kurobuta ($24.9) (1-for-1!) Grilled pork derved with what I think oven roasted baby potato and veggies. This is truly amazing, all the food on top of this plate is delicious and well seasoned! The pork is juicy and tender, the veggies is amazing it tastes sweet and the herb is seasoned well in it, baby potato also seasoned with herbs and tastes great! Served with sea salt and if tou add even just a bit it will enhance the flavour amazingly! The sea salt also mixed with some herbs but beware as not to use too much! Al Fungi [$12] With Burpple Beyond, I paid <$10 for this. It’s a creamy medley of wild mushrooms served on a bed of truffle oil infused pasta. It was creamy but not surfeiting and very comforting to eat.

Mummy’s Assam [$15] / Har Cheong Gai Nibblets [$10] Fried dory was delicious, Assam infused pasta is a little spicy. Har cheong gai nibblets were really yummy!

Pesto Pasta ($10 1 for 1 with #burpplebeyond, add $4 for additional seared salmon). I had no regrets getting this, as the pasta was al dente, and the pesto sauce had just the right amount of pesto that isn't too overwhelming. The seared salmon was good as well; you know they cooked it well when you can hear the crunch as you bite into the salmon skin and the meat melting away without much effort to chew. Spagtacular has a really pretty layout, with really good honest food. Highly recommended to come down to try this pasta if you're down in the area! @spagtacular_

Service lacking graciousness very confusing Burpple Beyond rules for this establishment, so we clarified w the waitress, who told us that the tacos were 2 for 1, that the pair of more expensive tacos would be charged. But when we made payment, it turned out that we were informed wrongly. Yet, the cashier on duty did not give us the 1-for-1 as the waitress had initially told us. Extremely disappointed with their lack of graciousness in recognizing their own error

HUGE PORTIONS AND AUTHENTIC YAY their authenticity and PORTION SIZES really blew us away!!! it was supposed to be food for two - the two of us ate until we were STUFFED and dabaoed, the rest was enough to feed 4….. so just imagine how big their portions are HAHAHAAH our favourite was dipping into like 6?? different sauces and trying to choose whats our fav (torn!! cldnt choose!! each had their own unique taste and why its nice - some were refreshing, creamy, fragrant etc) we also LOVED the desseert!!!! the addition of ice cream and the whole presentation of him drowning the dessert made it better HAHAHA

10/10 Food + super friendly staff They recently moved from 60 Bussorah Street to 32 Bussorah Street. The food was really authentic & the staff were so so friendly. You’d have to 100% try their Kunefe, it was the best one I’ve ever had😍😍 Other things I’d recommend is their lamb pide and lamb mandi, and of course the hummus! So so yummy!

Chicken Breast The chicken breast ($17++) comes with buttered corn, mushrooms, potato skins milk mash. The chicken breast is moist and tender but a tad too salty.

Dashi Risotto 💵: $21 📈: 9.5/10 🤔: 24 hours since I had this and I'm still thinking about it because it was THAT good. -0.5 because it was a tad bit pricey for the small portion, but definitely made affordable with beyond. Fried enoki mushrooms not only added a nice crunch but also great flavour.

Tom Kha Capellini 💵: $19 📈: 7/10 🤔: Would be better if the dish was served hotter, but it might also be because of the capellini's inability to retain heat. The shrimp paste was bouncy and shrimp floss added to the light tom yum flavour, pretty good dish overall!

Chicken Garam Masala And Mushroom Somen Meat was tender and juicy; spice mix on point. The mushroom somen ($6) was a meal on its own - sauce is very flavourful; somen soft and tender.

Polenta Crepe And Vegetable Medley ($22++) Vegetables were bursting with flavour. It was very filling; staff very attentive.

For 1-for-1 Main Dish (save ~$25) Heads up, fans of funky fare! This diner doles out mains with a modern twist on old comforts. Take the Braised Beef Meatballs ($25) served with herb celeriac, wood ear fungus and lemon sauce for a tangy finish! Their Garam Masala Chicken Drumsticks ($24) is reminiscent of tandoori chicken with the fresh spices and herbs.
