Dean & Deluca Caramel cheesecake ( right ) at $8 a slice, portion of the cakes are much larger than other cafes. Somehow the caramel is quite mild and its not as sweet or heavy flavored as what I've expected . The cheese itself is not too overpowering too thus one can finish it easily. Pair it w a cuppa comforting hot chocolate at $6 and your day is made. Mango Passionfruit Cheesecake ( left ) $9.80 a slice. The combination of both the fruits makes it sweet yet tangy at the same time, which tingles your tastebuds! Pretty interesting and refreshing plus the fact that the fruits topped are fresh.

Iced Latte @ $6 Smooth & strong taste latte. No order anything but maybe will try their breakfast one day?

Linguine Pesto Chicken - Okay. (sry for blur image) Linguine Pesto Chicken and Spaghetti Carbonara were both too creamy. Taste was just okay, average but wouldn't pay full px for it. Chill vibes. Didnt try the beverages.

Hidden gem of a Japanese pastry shop Set for 1 ($12) included a slice of cake as well as a drink. Chose the Mille Feuille - how do you even pronounce this? - as well as an iced fruits-loaded earl grey tea. Loved the cream and raspberry jam in the Mille Feuille, but didn't care much for the puff pastry. The iced tea though, so refreshing! I still think about it until now.

Uji Matcha Cake [$40] Birthday cake choice this year is Chef Yamashita’s Uji Matcha Cake! Only thought that the toppings didn’t really match the cake, but otherwise it was a very lovely one to have - light cream all around and especially enjoyed the middle matcha cream that was distinctly bittersweet. Sponge was soft too. We had the smallest size but they have many sizes to pick from to suit your occasions

Coffee Cookies, Almond Cookies I love both the cookies. Buttery and fragrant and also affordable at $6.80 per pack. Cny period and others are selling cookies at cut throat prices. I don't really fancy the fanciful tins of some shops. I rather the shop spend less and pass the savings on to the consumer. Just my personal opinion. I am going to eat the cookies and not the tin anyway. On the left of the picture is the Earl Grey financier. Somehow I don't really detect the fragrance of any Earl Grey. I will give the financier a miss.

Earl Grey Waffles (Dec '15) Before Atlas Coffeehouse, there was Assembly nestled along the stretch of Evans Road. If you've been there before, I'm sure you'd know that one of the highlights of their menu was their Earl Grey Waffles with vanilla ice-cream and caramel drizzle. Quality stuff, as far as I can recall. Also, I must say that I'm quite impressed because this picture was untouched when I found it in my gallery.

Salted Caramel Earl Grey Waffle Great place for hanging out with friends and a good ol' cuppa. The beans are imported so it's quite authentic.

Salted Caramel + Chocolate Strawberry Waffles We had the salted caramel waffles and the chocolate strawberry waffles, both priced at $12 each. They were really good and the waffles were crispy but fluffy on the inside. I enjoyed both waffles but I definitely liked the salted caramel waffles a lot more! However, you have to walk a bit if you're getting here by public transport.

Aburi Bento Set Exquisite fish that was just flown in yesterday .. such a healthy n delightful lunch

Best sashimi that you can find out of Japan. Super fresh cuts of fish and assorted seafood. This was a platter for 4 pax ($440++)

Aburi Kampachi Belly Topped With Caviar And Salmon Roe presentation : 10/10 taste : 20/10 🤪💘 p.s. this was an off-the-menu dish, so feel free to request it to the waiter or waitress taking your order!

Eggs Benedict • S$17++ Beautiful runny Eggs Benny! A compact bar and diner tucked in within Kam Leng Hotel. Suprette serves both breakfast and lunch items in the day till 2:30pm for weekdays and 3:30pm for weekends. I can understand why its Eggs Benedict ($17) is one of its signatures. The eggs were poached to perfection and had runny yolks, the muffin was lightly toasted and the bacon was crispy yet not rock hard. Of equal mention is the salad! The vegetables were fresh with a dressing to die for.

Suprette @ Kam Leng Hotel Service were so-so,typically saw 2 people working only. Fries were salty(maybe dowan us to order anymore coz it's suppose to be free flow) Burgers are passable though. Waited 30mins for the so-call free flow fries that din served up to us eventually(the server dun look sorry at all.) Oh and its so called free flow blood sucking for the mosquitoes there eventhough is indoor with aircon.

Soufflé Chocolate Tart It might get a tad messy while you enjoy the Soufflé Chocolate Tart, but it is worth the mess. The Audacious Cakery will be saying Adious Amigos on the 27th of this month, before they search for a new home outside Everton Park. Do drop by to support the lovely folks, purchase 3 petit cakes or tarts and get the 4th free. This is not goodbye, but a way of saying thank you.

The Tradition Audacious Cakery take on the traditional Chinese dessert, named as the Tradition featuring silky smooth yam casing with sweet pumpkin fillings inside. It was introduced during the Lunar New Year, but didn't get a chance to try it until now.

Decent, but nowhere near mind blowing The Perk Me Up ($8.80) was one of the better cakes we tried at @theaudaciouscakery. Light coffee mascarpone mousse on a speculoos cookie base. A pity we couldn't taste the promised marsala wine, and the biscuit tasted nothing like speculoos. Still, a pretty decent entremet.

Daessiksin Korean BBQ Buffet Daessiksin is an All-You-Can-Eat Korean Grill Barbeque restaurant offering 10 to 12 different types of signature marinated meats. For the cheese lovers, enjoy your charred meats with a decadent cheese dip. I just can’t resist the pork belly and beef bulgogi!

Korean BBQ. Lunch date with my BFF at our usual favourite haunt. 💋💯💕 (Date: 17 March 2016 Thursday)

Mashed Potatoes ($4.50) The perfect accompaniment with the rest of the dishes, the mashed potatoes were not too overpowering and delicious even on it’s on. The spiced powder on top gave it a more interesting flavour, and the portion was huge as well. It was a bit more on the dry side given that there’s no gravy.

Buffalo Wings ($10.50) My fav dish of the night! The sauce on the wings was tangy, spicy and a little sweet. They definitely did not scrimp on the sauce as well. Would have preferred it to be a little spicier, but that’s just my own preference! Chicken wings were not overcooked, fall off the bone tender and juicy. At 8 wings for $10.50, it’s definitely value for money. Will return for this!

Corn Tortilla Chips with Guacamole ($5.50) So worth it at $5.50! It was freshly fried, warm and perfectly crisp. The chips were also very thin, almost reminding me of wanton skin. Would say the guacamole was just average tasting, but I’m just nitpicking at this point. Really value for money and perfect when paired with their beers on tap 🤤
