Relish Breakfast Plate One of the best things to eat after a workout. This lovely platter ($20.80) came with eggs (normally scrambled but I requested poached), sourdough, cherry tomatoes, a sausage, mushrooms and roasted potatoes. The poached egg didn't have that flowy lava explosion unfortunately. But usually these eggs are a hit or miss. Still, letting the yolk soak into the sourdough made the exchange from scrambled to poached worth it. The tomatoes were plump and juicy with well-cooked, tender mushrooms. The sausage was so juicy it dripped juices as I cut into it. And the roast potatoes were so crispy without being oily. I loved the decor and ambience of this cafe, with windows letting natural sunlight stream in, real plants hanging everywhere and very vintagey decorations. The restaurant was quiet and peaceful, and my dining partner and I had such a cosy, intimate brunch. :)

Seafood Burger Finally tried Relish by Wild Rocket!!!!! I had the seafood burger with lemon mayo, fries and a salad! The burger itself was definitely the star of the show and the portion is HUUUUUGE could probably share amongst 2 people! The patty was thick and packed with chunks of squid, prawns, crab and fish, all breaded and fried into one glorious patty on top of a toasted bun! Fries were average, crispy but nothing to shout about but the salad was pretty good! There was a citrusy vinaigrette and it complemented the punchy flavours of the seafood burger perfectly! Relish also offers other mains such as pasta, breakfast items and fish and chips but I would definitely recommend the burgers - they have a huge selection of innovate flavours like char siew burger on focaccia, and a Ramlee burger (that has been upgraded from your regular Ramly burger!). Price-wise the burger ended up at around $28 after tax so it’s slightly pricey but the big portions make up for it! Do come down and try it for yourself, the ambience was cozy and relaxed, definitely a place to hit up if you have the cash to spare!

@ Relish by Wild Rocket Stumbled upon this place the other time we came to the mall for SPRMRKT. Finally tried out this place! Didn’t regret ordering the beef cheek cuz it was super tender and yummy, plus a number of other diners also ordered that. The portion sizes served over here are also substantial! - 🍽 FUD FOR THE TUMMY • Bacon & Cheese Beef Burger ($19.90) • Beef Cheek ($25.80)

The Burgers From Three Six Are So Fly Like A G6 So, what’s new with Third & Sixth’s burgers? Well, they’ve changed the polarizing crusty burger buns which I personally liked to soft, fluffy artisanal buns that are universally liked. Other than that, the ground beef patty is still the juicy and fantastically flavorful patty that I remember from my last visit. Slap on a rasher of beautiful bacon, a slice of majestically melted cheese and a dollop of barbecue sauce, and you’ll be in beefy bliss.

This Three-Six Got Me Feelin So Fly Like A G6 After more than a year of wanting to try Third & Sixth Bistro Bar, I finally managed to drag a few friends along with me to sample their offerings. Now, the only question is why it took me so long. Their eponymously named No. 36 burger ($14) is beautifully crafted from a high quality beef patty that's tastefully thick and grilled to a cool pink medium rare (note to self: ask for it to be cooked medium the next time), followed up by a pile of strikingly sweet caramelized onions being laid atop the beef. A slice of cheddar cheese is then melted to marry the onions and beef together, followed up by two smoky rashers of bacon which are sensually draped atop the whole affair before the meaty menagerie is entombed by crusty, toasted multigrain buns. The patty itself is a party in your mouth, due to it being superbly seasoned and tantalizingly juicy, before the creaminess of the cheddar and the savoriness and smokiness of the bacon elevates this beautiful beefy patty right into burger bliss. The bun is rather subjective, as one of my friends found it a bit too crusty for his liking while I personally enjoyed the crustier texture which contrasts well with the soft texture of the minced beef patty. Do note that the burgers are standalone, and the sides of fries come separately. And in all honesty, $10 for sweet potato fries and another $10 for shoestring fries with truffle mayonnaise on the side is kind of exorbitant. Surprisingly, Third & Sixth was very quiet for a Saturday night, and service was excellent. In fact, the supervisor even had ample time to recommend us beers to go with our burgers, and the differences between Thatcher ciders. Overall, this Bistro is a choice venue to get your burger and boozing on at.

Double Pressed Beef Patty with Cheddar Cheese 🍔! Honestly, the burger need more improvement IMHO. The buns were SO dry and hard and the patty wasn't really juicy nor tender, the only saving grace was having the cheddar cheese over the patty, which helped made the whole burger taste better. Oh, and also for the happy hour pint price of Schneider Weisse (12 dollar NETT) which made it easier to flush it down too.

Forest Wrap I'm not sure what I was thinking when I chose to order this vegetarian wrap ($18) rather than a more 'typical' main. But this was a quesadilla-esque wrap filled with zucchini, eggplant, mushroom and tomato with cheddar cheese. It was served with an artistic swipe of tomato sauce for that extra zing and a mesclun side salad with fruit. I couldn't help but think of Starbucks' egg white wrap as I was eating it haha. It was really good though, very flavorful with the saltiness and savoriness of the cheese melding well with the tanginess of the ratatoutille-inspired filling. The wrap was just nicely crisped and toasted, not too thick or doughy. Portion sizing was perfect. Its quite funny because the dish was served on a big metal disc. Interesting presentation. Also they serve a complimentary shot of fruit juice in test tubes and my iced Long Black ($6) is in a beaker. Most unique presentation accompanied by the whimsical, pastel colors of the cafe. I really enjoyed my dining experience here. 8/10

Banana Pancakes! Sweet, fluffy and soft! It came with mixed berries, honey sauce, green sauce that kinda looked like kaya and whipped cream. I loved it, though I wish there were more fruits. 😝 Small thing I didn’t like were the alfalfa sprouts.. they made the dish look nice but I don’t think it goes well with pancakes 😅

Dum Chicken Biryani ($15.50) Presented like a treasure chest, the briyani was served in a cavernous deep dish and sealed with a thin layer of baked prata. Buried inside was a large chicken thigh, a hard-boiled egg and filled with colourful basmati rice. The chicken was a tad dry but the basmati rice was fluffy, flavourful and fragrant as the spices sifted through the long grains. A good companion with all the curry and masala dishes. 👍

Zaffron Tandoori Platter ($42.40) This rustic-furnished establishment serves up authentic contemporary North Indian cuisine and is crowned the BIB GOURMAND by the Michelin Guide Singapore. Ideal for group sharing, the specially curated sampler platter of meat kebabs came with Malai Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Mutton Seekh Kebab, Murg Pudina and Fish Tikka. The spices marinate seeped well into the chunky charred pieces, making them tasty, juicy and aromatic. The mutton kebab didn't even taste gamey. A definite choice for all first-timers, especially if you love your meat!
