Smoked Salmon and Scrambled Bagel [$12.80] Toasted multigrain bagel topped with smoked salmon, creamy scrambled egg, ikura and avacado slices! Very generous portion of smoked salmon and scrambled egg, bagel had the right texture. Worth a try!

50%-Off Fave Deal Steak sandwich was so so tasty! I wonder what that white sauce was, it complemented the grilled striploin and mushroom ragu perfectly. I also loved the lychee konnyaku tea recommended by the staff-- it was aromatic and refreshing. With 50%-off, this deal was definitely a steal!

Affordable Mac N Cheese! Heard about the mac and cheese for the longest time! It was a good fix for mac n cheese craving, but it could get gelard at the end! Nevertheless a cheap choice for a cafe setting!

Jimmy Monkey Cafe🧀 Went to Jimmy Monkey Cafe last week and ordered a Grilled Cheesy Crusty ($16), Baked Maple Chipotle Chicken Wings ($18), Bacon Mac n' Cheese Quesadilla ($22), Prawn Aglio Olio ($25), and an Eggplant Moussaka ($23)!😇 Filling for 5 pax~ Overall ratings 7.5/10!😄 Cheesy Crusty and Wings were good, Eggplant Moussaka was delicious, but Alio Olio was quite spicy and not really feeling the Quesadilla😅 Would head back again for the Eggplant Moussaka tho💯

brunch/one-north Jimmy Monkey serves great food and coffee, though being an Australian-inclined café the choice are limited to bread-based western. Here is the all day sourdough and egg with additions of bacon and wilted spinach. Great crispy bread, decently-runny egg (adjust the seasoning by yourself as the egg by itself is not heavily seasoned), crispy bacon. They offer 4 different spreads and I chose vegemite. Wholesome brunch indeed!

Mango Berry Sunset [$20] Created in collaboration with Tanqueray, this cocktail was a very bright concoction, both visually and in taste, with quite a sweet-tasting mix of Tanqueray London Dry, Raspberry Puree, Lemon Juice and Mango.

Donut Balls [$15] We had the house-made Donut Balls for dessert. They are freshly fried on order and comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, crumbles, blueberries and a sweet blueberry date compote. The outmost layer of each ball had a pretty nice crunch, but it was unfortunately too dense and doughy past that.

Veggie Puttanesca Pizza [$22] The Veggie Puttanesca Pizza is a new seasonal main, featuring an all-vegetable assortment of toppings on a base decked with puttanesca sauce. It includes Kalamata olives, capsicum, Roma tomatoes, button mushrooms, yellow onions and arugula. Not a huge fan of the pizza base, as it was a little more dry and biscuity.

For A Quick Coffee Break Smitten is a perfect hideout for a quick cup of excellent coffee or tea, and a cosy little spot to catch up on some work. They serve a small selection of paninis and cakes if you're feeling peckish. FYI, it gets really crowded on weekends, so don't come with too many friends!

Flat White A beautiful cup of flat white served. With the nice art on my cuppa, it made me feels happier. A nice chill out place about 5 to 8 minutes walk away from Farrer Park station. Will be back for more. 😊

Caffeine In Me This cup has a balanced proportion of both the milk & espresso shots.

Prawn Aglio Olio $18 This is very chill laid back cafe. The sofa seats looks so comfortable. Haha but they are probably popular and hard to get hold of. Wifi and power socket are available, but strangely the sockets I tried to use don't seem to be working, I will still give them the benefit of the doubt that it is probably spoilt. About this pasta, I have to say I am slightly disappointed. The pasta itself is okay BUT the prawns are seriously overcooked. Even though it has been partial deshelled in the mid section, while biting it, it still felt like there is a layer of shell outside =/ #burpple

Apple Crumble Apple crumble (~12) was neither here Nor there, felt like something I could go without. Wasn’t cheap either. The caramel sauce on the crumble was way too overpowering and definitely outshone the Apple taste. Apple chunks were a nice crunch to have but something felt off about this, can’t put my finger on it. However the crumble itself was really yummy and the texture was great! 6.5/10

Umami Pasta Umami prawn pasta (~20), came with 5 prawns and a very generous serving of tobikko! Tobikko was really good but pasta was lacking a strong umami taste, tasted a lil bland at times. However extremely disappointed in the service. Wanted to go to the second floor ( bc we were seated on the same table as a really noisy group of people ) but staff told us it was reserved. Yet when another group came in, they managed to get the table on the second floor.... so clearly there’s some dishonesty going on..........

Lacking abit of the crab flavor The chili crab pasta came with a thick chili crab sauce and deep fried cubes of mantou which were rly crispy and not oily. The linguine was not overcooked THANK GOD and it came with decent chunks of crabmeat but the sauce was abit too spicy for my liking that it slightly overpowered the whole dish. Unless you’re into a spicy pasta go for the other 2 pastas available on the menu (the mushroom one is 😛😛) also on thursdays they have 1 for 1 pasta deals!!

Pandan waffle flat white Was skeptical of the name but this really surprised us with its distinct floral pandan aroma and almost buttery creamy finish. Bought a bag of beans home to enjoy and it was just as good as in store!

Brekki for champions Hearty and filling spread with sourdough, poached eggs, maple espresso bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans, and pork sausage.

Eggs Benedict Went with the unique stewed beef option and enjoyed the perfectly poached eggs and well-marinated beef. The brioche was airy albeit dry, and could do with more hollandaise sauce or butter for added moisture to the dish.

Turkish Eggs We didnt know what we should order from penny uni tbh and literally scroll thru burrple. Decided to order turkish eggs ($14) but felt disappointed on soft boiled egg 😅 and my friend said sourdough bread slightly hard to chew thru. I literally removed spicy sauce from the dish as I didn't really take spicy lol.

Matcha Latte & Spiked Muddy I felt that matcha latte ($7.50) quite sweet (a bit matcha taste) and milky, need to shake it before drinking as matcha powder didn't just dissolved it off that fast. Someone suggested for spiked muddy ($7) and taste not bad and not that acidic taste for coffee.

Halal cafe with great service As for the Classic Eggs Ben, you can choose between smoked salmon or turkey ham (we highly recommend the salmon) to go with their poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and rosemary lemon sourdough. The poached egg was done to perfection and splitted gracefully when we cut it open. The hollandaise sauce was also sweet and umami, a perfect complement to the sourdough which may be otherwise hard to have on its own.
