Upon entering the store, we were greeted with terrible customer service & quite honestly the service staff seem annoyed that he had to serve us.

After ordering, the Bara Chirashi Don ($10) & Salmon Don ($12) came in less than 2 minutes??? Surely the kitchen staff didn’t manage to prepare 2 bowls of sashimi don in less than 2 minutes? And we were right, the sashimi was not even cold & was quite literally close to room temperature, an obvious sign that it was already pre-prepared & not even kept in the refrigerator. Sashimi tasted stale & the cucumber slices were dry. On the first look, the rice hardly resembles Japanese sushi rice.

I kid you not, please don’t come to this store, go and spend an additional $4-5 for a decent don.

I bought a sea salt Nutella tart and a cheesy mascarpone tart for tea with the girls, I would rave over the sea salt Nutella tart. It was as if I just scooped a big spoonful of cold Nutella and matched it with a perfect tart biscuit. We finished that in less than 2 minutes in an attempt to "savour" it. After which we suggested if we should get another tart but ended up getting distracted over cards VS humanity. It's a great place to spend the afternoon away with friends! (We bought tater tots (with truffle oil and Parmesan) and curly fries too, I would totally recommend the tater tots, incredibly generous even for 5 people.)

The food was really good, especially the cherry tomatoes that were mixed with a special sauce instead of the usual plain ones I would have with my greens. The scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and sausage went very well with the brioche toast, I would be back for that! (As shown in the photo) However, the chocolate swirl cheesecake that I ordered afterwards was a tad too heavy after a few bites and I ended up having to waste quite a bit of it. The nutmeg and cinnamon latte tasted like an ordinary cup of latte to me, but it was alright nonetheless.
