Not kidding about the "mini". It's about the size of a fist but surprisingly it filled me up pretty well. Wouldn't say that it was amazing but it was not bad! I mixed it all up sans the wasabi and it kind of tasted like a mixed rice ball. Definitely picture worthy but maybe not so much tastebud worthy πŸ˜…

Salmon everything to satisfy the salmon lover in me.
A mix of salmon sashimi, aburi salmon belly, cubed spicy salmon and mentaiko seared salmon sashimi (could have more mentaiko though) atop a bed of Tanuki's signature rice and topped off with Ikura to give that extra oomph - all in a bowl of goodness 😍

Lunch set consisted of a bowl of miso soup, a side salad and a choice of either iced or hot green tea. Definitely worth the πŸ’Έ.

Breaking away from the stereotype that character themed cafΓ©s only have food that look good but doesn't taste as good, this was indeed a wonderful surprise.

I loved every single bite of this dish; especially the Hollandaise sauce which was so generously drizzled over the two perfectly poached cuties staring back at me, waiting for me to devour them.

The ebiko added mini explosions of surprise with every bite and the toast beneath was perfectly buttered and slathered with mashed avocado. 😍

Tater tots instead of fries or a huge slab of hashbrown were given instead, much to my delight. Because tater tots are not only easier to eat but also look how cute they are?!?! Goes well with the entire cutesy theme as well!

Kudos to homegrown brands Joe & Dough and The Soup Spoon for this collaboration and for making character themed cafΓ© food great again πŸ˜‰

Not for the faint-hearted. Usually when I tell my friends that I eat pig brain, I would get responses of disgust and "Ewwww". It is an acquired taste I must say. But my entire family lovesssss pig brain so we enjoy it together at HDL! It's quite rare to find restaurants serving pig brain here in Singapore so I'm glad that HDL has them 😍 They do have a few other pig innards as well such as pig intestines and pig liver!

I like how HDL will provide a separate strainer for us to cook the pig brain in (because it takes up to 20 mins to be fully cooked) so we can still cook the other food and enjoy our food without having to worry about the cooking of the pig brain.

Service at HDL is really top-notch and coupled with their fresh meat and variety of ingredients and sauces, it is now the to-go place for steamboat especially during this rainy season.

Perfect for families or for a gathering with friends! πŸ€—

When my friend first told me that we were going to Fortune Centre to eat, I was apprehensive because Fortune Centre, with its dilapidated exterior sure did not look like a place where one can find good Japanese food. πŸ€” But I've learned not to be too quick to judge for often, we find such food gems in the most unexpected places.

Tucked away in a little corner on the third floor of Fortune Centre, Japanese Curry Express looked like a mini coffeeshop. No frills, cash only place hence the affordable price tag on their food. (Yes, no service charge & GST!)

I ordered a bowl of the Salmon Mentai Don ($10) and upsized it for additional salmon for just $2 extra. The mentai was torched to perfection and complemented with fresh and tender salmon slices. The rice was sticky and had this slight vinegar taste that wasn't too overwhelming but just right, exactly how Japanese rice should be like. ☺️

I polished off the entire bowl in no time and was left satisfied, both tastebuds & tummy were happy πŸ‘πŸΌ Definitely worth coming back for!

Previously located at Nee Soon South CC at Khatib, Buddy Hoagies has now shifted to a new location at AMK's Djitsun Mall! They now have a spanking new space that can house more diners plus better service (and NO service charge)!

I loved the rosti and sausage. The rosti was nicely seasoned and cooked and I like that the sausage is in a spiral! Makes for better presentation ☺️
Complemented with brown sauce & sour cream, this dish is definitely one of my favourites at Buddy Hoagies!

BEST bingsu ever!!!! Been to plenty of bingsu places but I still swear by Nunsongyee's cheesecake bingsu every single time. Digestive biscuits heaped atop soft and snowflake-like ice infused with milk and topped with mini lemon cheesecake pieces and a vanilla ice cream to boot. The snowflake-like ice tastes like milk with every single bite! Let it melt abit and it will taste even better 😍😍😍

Perfect for cheese lovers!!! πŸ‘…
Pork ribs wrapped in melted mozzarella cheese. Can you say CHEESUS?? 😍

Love the small sides as well! Cream pasta, steamed egg, corn & soft boiled potatoes! The set comes with free flow of side dishes (not featured in picture) as well!

Sharing this with family or a group of friends would be perfect πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ Will definitely come back again!!
Ambience was super korean-ish with Kpop MVs blasting on teevee and pictures of Korean idols hanging on a wall!

I loved the ice creams because they were tea infused and the tea flavour was rather strong and to my liking 😍 Waffle was alright, quite fluffy but I've eaten better waffles eslewhere.

Now the highlight - Salted Egg Yolk sauce. It tasted good on its own but it doesn't complement the Waffle & Ice Creams I feel. Something is just.... off. Doesn't help that the sauce itself looks quite gross when poured out πŸ™Š

Maybe it's just me but I just don't think salty and sweet go well together. Would come back for the ice creams and maybe try their waffle with froyo ☺️

Eggs Benedict, Pizza Waffle, Honey Paprika Wings, Matcha Latte & Thai Milk Tea 😌 Great place, great food, great service. Nett prices so it's pocket friendly πŸ˜‰
