[$20.50++] This was enjoyed by every single one of us. It may look unassuming but the flavour from the truffle oil really made its presence known the very moment it was laid on the table. Each whiff just enchants and tempts those weak in the heart. I half-regret not doing a cheese pull shot but my friends just tucked in the as soon as they could. Do try!!

[$18.50++] A simple looking dish with slow roasted spiced pulled pork sandwiched between buns. Not spectacular but the smoky BBQ sauce made the dish unhealthily salty.

I am fine with servers being nonchalant but today’s was over the top infuriating. Firstly, my group of friends, including myself, consists of 8 people and we asked if we could join two tables to sit together and although they allowed us to, they made it a point for us to see their grumpy and unwilling expressions as though we requested for them to move a few mountains. Do note that we were the first and only customers at that point in time. Following which, as one of my friends doesn’t eat beef, I ordered assuming it was pork-bacon. I was confused when the server asked: how do you want it done? I replied: what do you mean? She got even more irritated, beyond her RBF, pointing out to me in an incriminating manner that it’s served with Beef Patty. I erred in assuming that it was just Bacon. But did you have to correct my mistake by embarrassing me in such a manner? Perhaps it wasn’t her intention, but she made me feel that way anyway. We don’t even expect tiptop service; Just treat us like how you would like to be treated! Never, never returning. Patrons who are aversive to rude servers. YOU ARE WARNED. - 👴🏻 #burpple

Clearly, I didn't get the memo and got a dish of Malay Noodles which was at best, decent. Actually, I don't enjoy sour foods so Penang Laksa is out of the question whereas CKT to me is... there's so much you can expect from it. Probably a decent place to get a quick Penang Food fix if you don't mind the rude staff. - 👴🏻 #burpple

It's not that the food is bad but I'd very much prefer Coco Ichibanya in terms of its price point and flavour. With eatigo at 50% off, I can spend slightly more and eat almost like a king at Coco while a lunch set at Monster Curry leaves me unsatisfied. I personally found the curry at Monster Curry to be less flavourful and the Katsu less crispy (drier but less greasy). The amount of curry provided was noticeably lesser too. The omelette was on the drier (fried longer) side and wasn't the style I preferred (wetter). I'd clarify though that there's nothing wrong with the curry rice at Monster Curry - it's just a matter of preference and who wouldn't want to spend less for food you enjoy more? I do have friends that prefer Monster Curry though but I'd stick to Coco. 😂 - 👴🏻 #burpple

To finish up the Tenshin series, the last course of the meal! And as the saying goes, the best is saved for last 😉 Prawn kakiage tempura was served upon a bed of hot rice and atop of it, a glorious tempura egg 😍 (this has to be requested for) I really regret not capturing on video how perfectly the egg yolk oozed out when cut 😭 Mixing everything together, including some sweet sauce, and the don was heavenly 🤤 So good when eaten with the side pickles and red miso soup (I always prefer the rich taste of red miso over white miso) - 👵🏻 #burpple #throwback

😂 Usually not a fan of Korean food because they contain huge portions of starch but since my friends were nice to offer, we went ahead. Haven't tasted that much Korean food myself but the dishes taste just about right after the few Korean-food trips 👵🏻 educated me with. The Cheese Chicken Galbi was the first to be polished and that says something doesn't it. The other dishes in retrospect were pretty run of the mill and you should be able to get 'OK' ones at any random Korean dining place. Otherwise, I still fancy Japanese, South Asian and Western foods better. 🙊🙊 what's your favourite cuisine? - 👴🏻 #burpple

These were the variety of vegetable produce served to us during our meal. In order - mushroom, pumpkin, shishito peppers, lotus, and asparagus. All of them were really simply and tasty and look at how beautiful that mushroom bouquet is 😍 - 👵🏻 #burpple #throwback

White fish was served to us two ways - one wrapped in shiso leaf and fried while the other was served on its own. Both were simple, fresh, and delicious. Personal preference of course, but I liked the shiso leaf-wrapped one 😋 - 👵🏻 #burpple #throwback
