⁃ Portion was generous enough with two fairly big taco shells which were soft and foldable, but there wasn’t much chicken. Which made this dish super not worth it.
Like.. Might as well call this dish.. “Tacos with a hint of chicken...”

⁃ The tortilla chips were still a bit “Lao Hong” and weren’t crispy. (Maybe their whole batch is like that.. placed out in the open for too long?)

Food 3/5
Place 4/5 place was chill and spacious
Price 3/5 decently priced with 1 for 1, but otherwise, a little pricey
People 3/5 there were 2 service staff, but we weren’t served with any water or serviettes. We saw the other tables being served with water, but not us..

Salmon was slightly overcooked but their portions were very generous.
Mashed potato tasted weird..

Review same as previous post (check it out!)

Unagi was well cooked but still soft. But I guess it can’t compare to man man unagi (which has really good unagi!)
Felt that they were quite generous with the portions, so it’s still quite good!

Torched salmon with generous portions of ebiko and mayonnaise.
This dish is really really the highlight of the night.

Salmon melts in your mouth, and complements well with the mayonnaise. However once you’re 3/4 into the bowl, the mayonnaise flavor starts to over power the salmon and rice - not in a good way.. so I’d recommend you to get this + another type of bowl to spread the gelat-ness of the mayonnaise.

This place is conveniently located in Holland V, and has a seating capacity of approximately 30-40-ish. But it was already max capacity when we went over at 7pm. Could tell that people were regular fan of this Japanese place, and rightfully so.

Apart from the fact that the service crew looks a bit dao, and preoccupied with other things.. Their food makes up for their lack of service. Overall, this place is worth the 4 vouchers from burpple!

Dangerously expensive.

Without the 20% of discount from hospital staff card, this meal easily costs $60 for 4 people. For a meal from kopitiam, one could hardly imagine paying these kinds of prices.

Mala wasn’t very fragrant, and the ingredient were so so, not particularly fresh either..

Not the best place to have mala, and definitely not the best price. Only have it if you’re a hospital staff and have sudden major cravings!
(In which if you are, and NUS science canteen is so near anyway, just walk over for cheaper and better mala there~)

This is such an amazing drink!

Ordered the white grapes blended with green tea together with grapefruit jasmine tea + pearls!

The drink literally blew our mind! Such an amazing combination. The fruits complemented the tea so well that I was praising the drink at every sip!
The pearls were chewy but not starchy, which was pleasant to enjoy!

In the end, we concluded that this drink is a 10/10 must try. However each cup will set you back ~$7.
But with burpple beyond, it amounts to only half the price 😌!
Worth it!

Highly recommend the white grape blended green tea! :)

Really very good! This set comes with 2 slices of bread
The brioche bread was lightly toasted, so crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside!
The sausage gave depth to the tomato flavor, and the eggs cooked inside were runny and soft if you eat it fast enough!
They also offer a vegetarian option which was to replace the sausages with mushrooms.

However the portion is rather small, this dish costs $14/set, and not very filling if you’re a big eater by nature.

Worth it as a side dish.
One for one makes everything even sweeter!

Seriously one of the best coffee I have ever tasted!

It came with sugar already mixed inside, but it wasn’t overly sweet. The coffee:milk:sugar ratio complemented each other perfectly.
If only the price wasn’t too steep, would drink it every single day. One bottle costs $6.95.
Located about 8 mins away from farrer park mrt, it is definitely a place worth coming.
Had loads of plugs for you if you plan to study nearby~
Heard the food isn’t bad too!

Decided to come here after reading so many good reviews, even good reviews by Seth lui.
Came with a group of 4.

But honestly, food was ok.. the noodles were overcooked, which made it lack texture. The soup was good though, and fragrant.

The best part about the meal was really the sides.
If I can advice you on anything, just get the Thai fish cakes. They are the highlight!! Even the chicken wings pale in comparison to the fish cakes.

Will not come back again though.
Place was small, owner wasn’t too friendly.

You’d think a restaurant in MBS would serve mind blowing food, given the exorbitant price tag..
Unfortunately not..

Had one of the worse fish and chips I’ve ever tasted in my life at this place. The fish was dry, batter was slightly burned, fries were soggy. Came with this green pea mash, which I couldn’t appreciate..

The best thing served at this place was the butter that came free with their bread.

Seriously one of the most overpriced place out there with sub-par food.

The pork chop was the only saving grace of the dinner that night, generous portion with very delicious crispy outer skin.

Does not have any sides, so ordered the seasonal vegetables to accompany this chunk of meat.
We were met with disappointment because the seasonal vegetables were drenched in some very sauce that was overly salty...
Expected so much more for such a well known place..
