πButtermilk waffle, Korean banana milk, caramelised biscuit, sea salt, caramel
~$12.50~
TL;DRβ Overhyped & overpriced waffles and the ice creams werenβt amazing either. Other places have better waffles and same (if not bigger!) scoop of ice cream.
I LOVE icecream waffle sososo much so when I saw many of my friends trying this, I canβt help but to pay them a visit!! But hor, this visit was disappointing to say the least π the waffles were too crunchy with no bite to it. I prefer waffles that have a crunchy exterior and chewy interior. However, @twentygrammes ones are a miss. They had a crunch but when we cut into it, the knife just went right through and straight for the plate, making a large PIANG sound which was sooo embarrassing πππ«π«. Also, the waffles didnβt taste like much...it just tastes like batter LOL. Donβt have the nice vanilla taste like other waffles and also had a slight bitter aftertaste. Ok la, the outside tastes a bit caramel-y cuz of the browning of the sugars in the batter but thatβs about it.
The Tokyo banana ice cream was my fav and had caramel biscuits in between them ππ It was a nice surprise but thatβs about it as it just taste like the yellow banana milk that can get from Koryo Mart or smth hehe. The salted caramel one we had some expectations but then again, it fell flat... it just tastes like (cheap?) vanilla gelato with salt and caramel (note: not salted caramel but salt AND caramel). The flavours didnβt even meld together. Very very disparate & disappointing. Also tasted like the caramel was burnt as itβs bitter and had that chaotah taste ππ
Overall, overpriced waffles, wonβt visit again. If only I can get back my calories... π€π€

π Sriracha Chicken Thigh, Bacon, Chilli Aioli, Greens
~$13~
*went at ~1045 weekday; no crowd but started to get busy at about 1130*
TL;DRβ Thick-ass bagel, amazingly seared chicken thigh (though quite salty), awesome spicy aioli that works in harmony with thigh. Very filling so 2 people can share 1 if yβall not big eaters!! (Continued in comments section cuz this post sb long HAHAHAH)
I expected a normal sized bagel ~3.5in but this chonky wonky boy thatβs filled with a generous serving of juicy, herby thigh, bacon, veggies and chilli aioli was T H I C C. Itβs about 4in and almost 3in tall wth!! Half of the bagel was already quite filling π©π©π©
The shredded cheddar on top was so crispy and fragrant that every bite of this dense and chewy goodness is akin to a supporting dancer. Itβs always at the background funking around (haha get it cuz cheeses have this funky smell and funk is a genre of dance), supporting the main filling with its umami-ness. The cheddar crisps on top worked well the succulent chicken thigh that had an amazing sear, juicy skin and bursts of aromatic herbs and worked synergistically well with the chilli aioli, supplementing it with some sharpness, rounding out the βfattyβ qualities. However, it was quite salty. I found it to be too salty for my liking (even though I usually have a saltier palate). Donβt eat the thigh by itself, you have been warned!!
HERE COMES THE STAR OF THE SHOW IMO. The sauce is a m a z i n g. Itβs like a kinky loverβ a little spicy while loving you with a passion. The spice sometimes hits you on the tongue, teasing you which leaves you searching and wanting for more while still treats you lovinglyβ letting you sleep on it belly (fatty creamy emulsion π) haha. As thereβs so much amazingness going on, the usual amazing stuff (bacon) faded into the background, demoted into being a backstage crew. The bacon was honestly just a salty piece of meat in the bagel. Nothing more, nothing less. If only it was waaaay crispier though which wouldβve provided more textural contrast haiz.
All in all, amazing bagel. The flavours donβt overpower each other and is not βjelatβ. Might order again. If only the bacon was crispier :β)
