This is always my go-to breakfast. Eggs poached to perfection, paired with smoked salmon, rocket and Hollandaise sauce. Paul does a mean Benedict. Loved every bite. At $16.90, some would argue it's expensive. But when compared to other brunch cafes, I think this is an average price for a great meal. Thumbs up!
Wow. Probably the best ramen I've ever had, straight from Osaka! I ate at the Shinsaibashi branch. The Ippudo Hakata is a spicy miso based soup, and you can choose the level of spicyness. I loved the Hakata style white milky broth and thin noodles. The broth was fragrant and the ramen was smooth. It was a game changer. Wonderful meal, I came back the next day for seconds. I think my ramen alone cost around 990 yen, as it didn't come in a set. I recommend ordering a hard boiled egg to add on, it was around 100 yen. Great experience! Hooray being Ippudo Shinsaibashi's first Burpple review!
Brioche Bread, Avocado, Poached Eggs, Pork Ham, Hollandaise Sauce, Meslun & Lemon Dressing ($14). Available for brunch from 10am-3pm. It was a delightful meal, and one of their best presented brunches, though I think I would have preferred it served on a lightly toasted ciabatta instead of the brioche. I will say, Lola's Cafe is one of my favourite cafes of all time. You MUST try the starters and the desserts. They're all fantastic. What a wonderful menu! I'll just keep coming till I've tried everything. Thumbs up!
On the menu, it's the Coconut Gelato with Sorbet in a Husk with three toppings for $5.50. Since I absolutely love the coconut gelato, I asked to have two scoops instead of a sorbet. Worth it. For toppings, I chose to have all Nata De Coco, which was very refreshing. Whilst indulging on the gelato, I also loved the scraped coconut young in the husk. But wait, there's more?! Inside the cup that supports the husk is a few treasured sips of coconut juice. What more could you possibly want? Wonderfully delicious, perfect texture and flavour, and a very enjoyable experience. Fun dessert! If you're around Cineleisure and Scape, you need to try this.
