Opening Ni-Hachi's menu, you'd find yourself spoilt for choice by the variety of sobas. From warm to cold to dry and even dipping, I wasn't sure what to choose.

Eventually I picked this because the words "mentai" & "cream" together intrigued me, and I sure wasn't disappointed. A hint of sourness balanced the creamy, milky texture of the broth. What a delight it was when all the tiny mentai burst in my mouth as well! I could bathe in this.

If you ever find yourself at 100AM and in this restaurant, be sure to try this and you'd be wholly satisfied as I was.

That is, if you like cream & mentai too 😬😋

The soup was savoury and noodles were cooked to perfection. Not spicy enough? Just add some of their yummy homemade balachan in your broth! This is always my go-to lunch place whenever I'm in Alexandra.

The most interesting thing about this Nonya cafe is that their lunch menu changes daily- made solely by two sisters who own it. You can be sure that every food item they come up with will be more than satisfying in both your tummy, and on your tastebuds!

If only they were located near where I work or live.... I'd come here everyday. I feel that this is one of the most underrated and undiscovered Nonya cafes. A must try whenever you're nearby!

This is a must try for every cake lover because of its unique texture. Every crêpe layer is delicately sandwiched between moist cream, leaving you to wonder how in the world would one have patience to make this treat. 🤣 If you're also someone who prefers lighter cake flavours, you'll definitely like this one.

It's best to share one slice between two people in my opinion, because of how creamy it is. Your buddy can also then split with you the cost of the one slice @$9.50 ($11+ after service charge and GST if you eat inside). #twoisbetterthanone😌

To beat the queue & waiting time, go straight into the store for a take-away. You'll also avoid paying for GST & service charge!

I might go back again someday if I have a craving for crêpe cakes, but otherwise, $9.50($11+ with GST and service charge) is slightly too pricey to me for one slice of cake. Though as I said at the start, if you're a cake lover it's worth eating this at least once. 😊

This mee soto is just 😍

Never been a huge fan of soupy noodles till I tried this on my boyfriend's recommendation. I've never looked back since! (In fact I always come back to Adam's just for this now.)

The soup is flavourful and rich- perfect, when you add a dab of chili into it. Beware though! Their chili packs a big punch. This time, I've added a potato cake (50c) to my meal. I love it when it soaks up all the yummy soup. 😋

Craving some bar chor mee in Bishan? The one at this coffee shop is not bad. It's quite comparable to EAT! (Better than some of the franchises in my opinion.) I always pay $4 for this for some extra mushrooms.

Being a huge fan of pasta, I've always been very particular on whether it's done al dente. Sometimes a restaurant may get the flavors right, but when it's pasta is overcooked, it spoils the entire dish. At other times, they may have gotten the pasta al dente, but the flavours disappointingly fall flat in your mouth.

Pepperoni has certainly gotten both done right in my books. Every bite is savoury, with a little bite of spice. Every piece of linguine is cooked to the right degree.

If you're as big of a fan of pasta like me, this is definitely something you must try! Worth all of my $25 and more. 😋

They must have added a drug inside their dish because at one period of time, I came here to have my breakfast/brunch every morning.

This is not your traditional wanton mee because of its tomato base, but it's still really good nonetheless because of the way the Uncle doesn't overcook his noodles. It's done in al dente style! Definitely worth all $3, or $4 if you fancy some extra noodles. Yummmmms
