If you're around Bugis/Bras Basar and looking for a place with affordable steak, then you should definitely pop by Steakout. With lunch sets going for $10, large portions and no additional GST or service charge, Steakout provides a treat not only for your stomach, but your wallet as well.

If you're heading to Tiong Bahru Bakery, The Kougin Aman and the Croissant are a definite must try. Both were reasonably priced ($3.50, $3.20) delicious and made even better with a generous helping of apricot/strawberry jam and butter. The Quich was a bit too cheesy for my liking, and got quite sickening towards the end of it; consider sharing it. For dessert, the Pear Vanilla Verinne was heavenly, and if you're looking for something more citrusy, the Lemon Tart should fit the bill.
