Decided to make a trip here after reading how Lee Hsien Loong brought President Duterte here. The price point ($12.80++ for nasi lemak and 8.90++ for the otah) and the venue made an impression though the nasi lemak and otah did not meet our expectations. The chicken was pretty good with its crispy exterior (which had hints of lemongrass) and the sambal chilli did pack a punch. However, everything else on the plate was not extraordinary. As a result, it is difficult to justify paying premium for it due to the numerous comparable (or better) alternatives available, which are a third of its price.

This laksa pasta had an exceptionally thick sauce which stuck closely to the original taste of laksa. This gave rise to the interesting experience of eating a dry bowl of pasta with the mental conception of eating a bowl of laksa. Also, the pasta had a really good texture, making the dish an all rounded one.

Offering a wide range of waffle and ice cream flavours, oblong is a must go for any waffle lover. The red velvet waffle with cream cheese was freshly made and topped with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream. The consistency of the ice cream was particularly good, extremely creamy and full. Other flavours available include brownie waffles and strawberry cheesecake waffles.

Chillax massage cafe is a cosy cafe/bar tucked around the corner from chomp chomp. The Chilli crab pasta is particularly unique, lacking the typical sweetness and consistency of Chilli crab sauce, the sauce is a more savoury interpretation with a kick in the spiciness department. The salmon and sweet potato fries was well cooked as well. Overall, a nice place for some affordable western fare.
