I’ve tried Blue Label at both the Somerset and Ann Siang outlets, and have to say I much prefer the pizzas here! Had both the Original Famous (pictured) and the Summer in San Sebastián. Must say I’m usually not one to pay for cheese pizzas because I always think they’re not worth but I really enjoyed the Original Famous. The cheeses paired well with their chaota not-thin-yet-not-thick crust 😋 Found the San Sebastián just alright, the octopus didn’t have a distinct chewiness that I would’ve liked but my friends did enjoy it! Will be back for more pizza 🍕
Hands down the best dish of the night 🙌🏾 A friend of mine recommended me this place, and it didn’t disappoint! We got the chaota pork ribs and chaota belly good as well, and all the meat was tender and fall-off-the-bone soft. The lemongrass seasoning in this dish was definitely a stand out (the other two dishes started to taste a little sameish after a while) and the watermelon salad side which was so delish I’d order it individually as a side. Everything was great, if a little salty, but the lemongrass pork I’d order again in a heartbeat :-)
Good dish - and this is coming from someone who isn’t the biggest fan of poached eggs or spinach 😋 Would suggest you add on the espresso maple streaky bacon for an additional $5 if you’re getting this cause you could really taste the espresso glaze and it was great! Their hollondaise sauce and crispy milk bread also deserves a shoutout. Probably wouldn’t buy again though because given the price tag I’d definitely have expected a bigger serving 😅 Also got their portobello melt, chicken wings and white coffee as well - all pretty standard brunch fare but done fairly well!
Happened to chance upon this restaurant and I’m glad we decided to give it a shot! I truly enjoyed every course on the 5 course set meal (1 for 1 on burpple beyond). Love how they managed to elevate pretty standard foods like cauliflower and mushrooms to something that keeps you going back for more - we scraped all the plates clean 😋 Nice place to chill with friends and some wine, service was great as well!
Simple things done right 😊
Been meaning to try this place for a while, but sadly because of covid they no longer have their free flow salad bar ☹️ Nonetheless, while the hamburg itself was nothing mind blowing it was still a really satisfying meal! Shoutout to the free flow eggs though because the scrambled eggs and tamagoyaki were really delish 😋
All the food here was honestly so good I don’t even know where to begin! We got the Mixed Charcuterie Board, focaccia with Melted Camembert Fondue, Angus Ribeye, Seafood Paella, Pork Meatballs Pasta and Sangria. My favourite was the meatball pasta (which I sadly didn’t get a picture of) which was full of tomatoey goodness! The paella came with generous portions of seafood, while the ribeye was nicely seared on the outside and tender inside (special shout-out to the side of potatoes which stole the show). We all unanimously favoured the prosciutto in the charcuterie board, which went really well with the Camembert and bread 😋 Genuinely a great place with friendly staff and a chill atmosphere. Will definitely be back again!

Thought this chicken parmigiana would be pretty standard fare but it turned out to be the star of the night! The chicken was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and it came with toppings of tomatoes, cheese and mushrooms which I really enjoyed. We got their prawns and chorizo mac and cheese ($15) too which was yummy as well 😋

Honestly didn’t know Flagwhite sold this but was pleasantly surprised to see it here 😊 From the famous Keong Saik Bakery, so a good idea for the westies who are lazy to travel. Light and fluffy with a subtle earl grey flavour, it comes in matcha and original flavours as well. Contrary to popular opinion I found the cheesecake as a whole rather average and each slice was quite small, but can see why people would like it!

Glorious crispy truffle fries! The truffle smell is stronger than the taste but honestly at $8 for such a huge basket I can’t really complain 🤗 Goes very well with their pale ale on tap which was light and fruity, and $10 during happy hour!

Was super excited to try their earl grey toast but sadly this didn’t really live up to my expectations 😅 Had a subtle earl grey flavour which I enjoyed and the bread was crispy and toasted well, but overall the jam didn’t have much of a flavour, and possibly because the jam was cold my toast was served cold as well! Tried their Matcha Milk Toast too which was fairly similar except with a slightly more bitter taste because of the matcha. Would say try this once for the novelty factor, but maybe return for their other offerings (of which I’ve heard the PB toast is pretty good). Their drinks are also very affordable too at $2+ for a large cup of tea so will probably be back for that instead!

As someone who’s not a big fan of fish, I had a bit of a struggle trying to decide what to get in a place where everyone seemed to be opting for the Chilean sea bass 😅 Would say this is a good option if you’re trying their set lunch though! The pork was flavourful and the sauce added a really nice tang 😋 Each set also comes with a serving of crispy fries and a dessert - both the tiramisu and blood orange sorbet were pretty great. Come early before 12 noon for an extra 10% off your bill too!
A friend raved about this and it truly didn’t disappoint 😍 If you’re a fan of rich chocolate cakes, you’ll definitely want to get this! Wasn’t too sweet, and paired really well with the vanilla ice cream. Even my friend who hates cakes loved it. Bigger than pictured though so would recommend sharing with a friend else it may get a little jelat. Will be back to try their other offerings!
