The only saving grace was the mentaiko omelette nigiri, the chirashi looks appetitising but only on the surface, as I chow down I can taste the inconsistency of the rice, there were some hard bits here and there to my dismay, apparently the rice wasn't cook thoroughly, the salmon was fine, you couldnt go too wrong with that, the maguro wasnt good, legit, I prolly tasted the veins of the tuna, either the knife wasnt sharp, or the tuna I had was cut near the tuna's head or it's tail, the prawn was, prawn lor. There were also wasabi bits inside the rice of the salmon nigiri set that we ordered, nigiro set was mediocre. $10 is really cheap for a chirashi however Genki's Salmon Don ($9.99) fare much better, at least their rice is consistent.
If you are super broke but still crave for a mediocre bara chirashi, then this is for you, on hindsight that you are okay to nom the uncooked rice bits here and there. Else, you can head over to Chirashi Teh opposite Kaplan (since it's a stone throw away) for a more decent and fulfilling experience. 6/10 for me, maybe I'm suay that day that the rice wasnt cooked well, you should see and taste for yourself. Total expenditure for 2 plates of Mentai Omelette, 2 Bara Chirashi, 2 Salmon Nigiri Set; $44.

Went yesterday on their offical opening day at 7odd after the evening shower has stopped, but I went alone so sad lol. The food I had here was a $9 set, Cheezy Fries w Kamquat Drink, eh quite full sia.

Anyway this carnival will be opened from 15 Dec 2017 till 1 Apr 2018, so long a time for you to go there and have fun with your friends and families! Opening hours will be from 4-11pm daily, 3pm - 2am on Xmas and NY's eve. 2 Event spaces; The Promontory (games and food), MBS Event Bay (rides). Live band from respective universities will be performing on stage weekly and many other events too!
Prudential customers are entited to Fast Pass for rides, which will be emailed to you, just show the email with your name on it and along with your NRIC to be entitled. Rides and games and food are from $4 onwards. Food here is pretty much yummy, though not as much as Gastromania.

Not too shabby for it's taste, the original one tastes slightly better than the Tom Yum one that I had, Tom Yum KKM was similar to the one that was sold in my army camp haha, maybe they use the same tom yum brand paste? Hahaha, there's lean meat, slices of pork liver, pork broth(I assume? Somebody correct me if I'm wrong below) and of course egg in both bowls. If you were to ask me is this recommendable, actually the original tastes very similar to those you find at any other ban mian stalls.

Ribeye Steak (medium well) w Truffle Mushroom Sauce and Fries, al dente, juicy and chewy steak, Blackened Salmon Veracruz in Spicy Rice, Mixed Veg and Guacamole, goes superbly well when you mix em altogether.

Meow meow got Kuro (Black in japanese) Ramen, squid ink tonkotsu ramen, while I had Akai (Red in japanese) Ramen, spicy ramen, that similar concept like ajisens', only way better. Walk in's only, be sure to get your friends to be all on time! Pretty nice place to hangout and have a meal, but hmm not a pretty good place to have a nice convo since everybody's conversations was all on the air 😂, maybe I've grown to prefer zen environment recently lol.

Was craving for some salmon don and saw this while walking up to koufu for dinner, so, might as well; Salmon Sashimi Don w Prawn Roe in Yuzu Brown Rice. Fish was thickly sliced, fresh, everything is good, except the amount of rice given wad tad too little, I think i finished all of it in less than 10 mouthfuls. 😂

Finally I have the time to edit the photos from the roller coaster October.
Kelantan has a whole variety of mixed culture, from Thai to Chinese to Muslim. Wonderful food there, however was a lil sweet on the food from the influence of Muslim culture. Being a Singaporean it was really an eye opener, the state is quite different from Penang, KL, Malacca etc.
Life there certainly is way laid back as compared to the hectic city life in Singapore. Definitely gonna pay another visit the next time round.
