The ice cream that has both taste and look. Needless to say more due to it’s popularity. Unique flavours. Try out if you want to know!
Ordered this from the new shop Piao Xiang @ Blk 378 Clementi Ave 5. This bowl of Lor mee is surprisingly good ! Not the traditional kind of lor mee you see around, but it’s still savoury ! Saw that they had Zi Char menu from 12pm onwards. Shall try from that menu next time, or perhaps their mixed rice too. A hidden gem indeed.
Had CNY set lunch at the restaurant. The setting is good. Only managed to take photo of the Yusheng, with fish skin. Because I was too engrossed enjoying the other courses, every single dish is good !
Crispy waffles and flavourful home made ice cream. You can’t get this anywhere.
Been to this little shop many times, and it’s still my TOP favourite.
Run by proprietors Chong Chee Siang and Eric Lim, this stall in Bukit Merah Central's Dong Fong Fatt Coffeeshop is the place to go for soul-warming double-boiled soups. Chee Siang, who runs the show, got the recipes from a Hong Kong chef he used to work with. We applaud their commitment to not adding MSG or using pre-made stocks — you'll be slurping down only the tasty, wholesome and nutritious. There is a good range of familiar favourites like lotus root soup and ABC soup, but it is the Double Boiled Old Coconut Chicken Soup ($8) that is worth making the trip for. Tastemaker Vanessa Kou describes it to be a "clear, refreshing and subtly sweet broth" that is steamed and served in a whole old coconut. It's even won over Tastemaker Xing Wei Chua, who admits he's not much of a soup drinker. He likes the refreshing sweetness that comes from the herbs, but also appreciates that it is not overly herbal. The chicken is fall-off-the-bone tender, and he was particular impressed by crispy dried whitebait that tops the accompanying white rice ($0.50). Three-colour organic (brown, red and black) or minced mushroom shrimp rice options are also available (both $1). Pro tip: Soups sell out pretty quickly in the evenings, so consider calling to reserve the soups you want a day or two ahead.
Avg Price: $10 per person

Seriously, we have tried Korean Fried Chicken from everywhere.. Chir Chir, Chicken Up, WA Bar, 4 Fingers, and other Korean-owned restaurants. This is still our top rated Original 'KFC'. Even the ones we tried in Seoul cannot fight with it. We have been a loyal OFC at their 1st branch near Tanjong Pagar, now with the 2nd outlet opened at Beauty World, it's so much more convenient for us, the Westers. There were a period of time we were so insane over it I ate 6 times in a month. Always ordering the same - WHOLE Original Rice Fried Chicken ($33). I am not sure what's the magic done by using rice flour, but the skin is just sooooo crispy and the chicken always tasted fresh and juicy, without the fat layers that you always see when eating the real Kentucky KFC. Goodness talking about it now makes me
salivate. If you love original crispy fried chicken with no coating sauce, this is definitely a MUST TRY!

Interestingly situated at Crown Centre, Crown Bakery & Cafe offers an extensive selection of bread and pastries such as ciabattas, brioches and croissants, alongside a small selection of brunch items. Go for their massive Crown Breakfast ($29) which generously comprises of a soft, buttery Crown Puff Pastry with sunny side egg, red wine braised oxtail, chicken sausage, Canadian back bacon, baked tomato and sautéed mushrooms. To go, grab the innovative Hainanese Chicken Bread ($4.50) made from chicken soup, skinless chicken thigh, garlic, ginger and shallots. It's quite literally chicken rice in bread form — it even comes with a spicy, tangy chilli sauce!
A two weeks old cafe - Bell's Cottage Cafe offers a mix-and-match concept where you can choose the type of main you desire such as croissant, boule, focaccia, burger, waffle or pancake and stuff them with fillings such as egg mayo, tuna, ham and more for a savoury meal. Or you can simply pair the main with a scoop of gelato of your choice to make it a dessert meal.
I decided to go for the Cottage special that comes with a charcoal burger bun, churros sticks and chocolate dip on a platter; finally selected the Honey Lavender and Pistachio flavour for my gelato. Congrats to another new cafe in the West!
Pretty cakes, interesting flavours, good texture and taste. We had the Naked Earl Grey, Blue Velvet, chocolate tart and sweet potato fries. My personal favourite is still that Tiramisu Pot in Horlicks flavour... hmm mmm, I would return for that 😘
Ive to say wild fire serves one of the best burgers ive tried in singapore.
