Pesto chicken sandwich ($6.50) 🥪 from T2 before flight! The pesto was way too salty for my palate :( and bread was too dense. The cabbage looks like it has been sitting there since forever.... hahaha
It was my friend’s birthday & we did this for her (all for the gram) - an inspired smoked salmon platter with bread loafs. It wasn’t cheap but it was so good, cream cheese and smoked salmon... wow 😰
As good as usual! The sushi came timely and was awesome. I feel like the portion was bigger than usual? Maybe it’s just me haha
I was weird and i added sautéed onions (were sweet as heck, meh), peanut butter, avocado & lettuce ($1 for lettuce 😭). Everything was good until i took my first bite. The honey oat bun disintegrated immediately.... like everywhere broke. It’s probably cause it was left there for quite a while...
Taste was okay, patty was soft & melts together with my condiments really well but just the bun :(
Even though it might be too bland for others (but this goes really well with their soya sauce), it was okay for me, eating this was like taking a break from all the heavily flavoured dim sum!
Noodles were cooked to perfection, it was bite-able (one try, no struggles 🥳), dumplings were HUGE & each dumplings has a plump prawn each. 🥰
One of the cheapest restaurants that has that the michelin star 💫
Decided to brunch at Tim Ho Wan at Westgate as we were craving for their char siew buns, the ones that hot oozing char siew inside a sweet, light & slightly crispy bun skin.
I gotta give a shoutout to the wanton noodles (add $1 for noodles) because the noodles are al dente & soft enough to bite it off!! Love.
We waited 2 hours for this - worth it!
Service was top notch as usual & the black pork that we ordered was tender soft, the soup was flavourful too. We ordered 3 soup bases; chicken, mushroom (this was a bit bland tho, it tasted healthy) and mala.
A must to order is the fried beancurd roll & the meat - too good to be missed!
Traditional can never go wrong.
We ordered the sets; kaya butter toast and a peanut butter kaya toast with milo for drinks & half boiled eggs for protein.
The spreads were generously given and thick, it was filling even tho it looks like a meal that won’t fill you up.
Nothing can go wrong with a wrapped salad 🥰
Their make your own salad option allows you to choose 6 toppings and an additional $1.50 or so for wrap! Mine is fully veges & beans so no extra cost for meat 😛 & it tasted good!
One thing that i’d comment is that IT GETS MESSY - imagine sauce & beans dropping out while biting. Haha but still, good & affordable salad place to hang out at!
This roll was 1 of their 3 rolls - it was great considering it’s price ($13.90) but it gets too much because the sauce was too overpowering. We were struggling to finish it cause both my partner & I had rice mains.
Inside the roll is packed with mock crab meat, avocado, cucumber and tamago.
Would definitely come back to try their other rolls, they even have their signature roll which looks interesting - there’s century egg inside the roll?
Helmed by Astons, Aji Ichi serves Japanese cuisine at VERY affordable prices.
I was surprised at how extensive their menu is, from dons to hotpots to sushi rolls and to ramen.
We ordered the Miso glazed sushi roll, pork katsu donburi & Salmon avocado don - all for $39.
The portions were huge & taste was great - for that price... i have no complains! Gonna go back again :)
3rd time eating at Black Tap & their burger patties never fail to impress.
Finally tried The Greg Norman burger - the most expensive burger on the menu ($26) haha. The wagyu patty is heavy (it squashed my burger buns) & so well done it melts in my mouth with the blue cheese. The blue cheese is surprisingly not over powering at all too! Love it.
We also ordered the Mexican black tap wings that has blue cheese on it! The sauce is rather sour but goes very well with the blue cheese.
