back here for a second time after 4 years and happy to say that this place did not disappoint after all this time ☺️ ordered the platter for 4 which came with fragrant sautéed king mushrooms, a german sausage sampler plate, 5 sides of your choice, a dessert brownie with ice cream & of course the star: 3 different flavoured slabs of juicy mouthwatering ribs that slide right off the bone! 👍🏻

Having moved from Shaw Towers to a bigger space at Tan Quee Lan, Ah Loy Thai has proven time and time again that when it comes to good and authentic Thai food, they sure know what they’re doing! Be it their mango salad or signature tom yum soup, every dish hits all the right notes!

unpretentious cafe nestled in the quiet vicinity of novena medical centre serving up delicious breakfast food and quality coffee~

Heard so much about this place that i decided to give it a try: ordered their spicy white beehoon and opted to add on for clams.. but one look at the dish and i noticed that majority of the clams were shut tight. Having been told since young that closed clams are not to be eaten, i was concerned and politely asked the staff about this. they told me that i was supposed to pry it open myself..???! This seemed rather odd to me but instead of further clarifying the matter, the owner just came along, took the plate away and said in a rude tone “forget it, we just won’t charge you”. Food was decent but the poor service really turned me off. Definitely not coming back again

I have always loved korean BBQ but one thing that always irked me was the idea of having the smoked meat smell lingering in my hair and on my clothes 😖 But not at K.Cook! Located on the 7th floor of Orchard Central, K.Cook's main dining area is located in an open-air but extremely windy and well-ventilated space overlooking the bustling Orchard Road, giving it an extremely cosy and comfortable environment to be enjoying a great meal with friends. At $14.90++(lunch)/$24.90++(dinner), this is one of my favourite places for Korean BBQ with their wide selection of meats of varying cuts and marinate as well as their absolutely tasty cooked food as well -- the Japchae (glass noodles) and Pajeon (Korean pancake) are must haves! To top it off the staff here are courteous and attentive too!

Truly deserving of the Singapore Michelin Bib Gourmand is Alaturka Mediterranean & Turkish Restaurant - situated at Arab street, this authentic Turkish food establishment serves up the best Mediterranean food my tastebuds have ever sampled! Must-trys include their platter of dips and hummus Meze Tabagi as well as their Karisik Kebab Platter for two (pictured) which gave us a delectable combination of lamb, chicken and beef kebabs served with a fluffy white pilaf and mixed vegetables. The meat was not the least bit dry but in fact very juicy, tender and favourful! Be sure to save some space for their tasty desserts too!

Tucked away quietly amidst the lush greenery of Tin Hill (Bukit Timah) is an enclave of delicious food, wonderful service and a great ambience.

Try their Darling Downs Wagyu with a 'Beef Marble Score' BMS of 6 and above! The meat was really succulent and tasty and the black garlic puree which accompanied was delightfully fragrant and complement the meat exceptionally well!! Excellence in every bite!

If you're ever looking for a place to kick back and relax and enjoy an all-day breakfast in the heart of the busy CBD, Club Street Social is your place to go. I had the Pull Pork Eggs Benedict with an added side of bacon (because everything is better with bacon =P). The eggs were poached to perfection, the sauce was just nice and not too rich or creamy and the pulled pork was tender and flavourful. The bacon slices were crisp and well-cured which left me baffled as to why none of their breakfast dishes included bacon. All-in-all, this is a place that scores on both food & aesthetics!

Tucked within a row of shophouses along Bukit Timah stands this non-pretentious coffeeshop serving up a Thai food storm. Favourites such as Tom Yum Soup, Pineapple Rice, Mango Salad and Green Curry, every dish was on point with its flavour and texture. The best part? Everything is at affordable prices despite its prime location!

Spain is a country with a complex and rich history and it definitely shows in their cuisine! From 'tiny rations' known as Tapas to giant servings of mains such as their signature Paella Valenciana, Serenity Spanish Bar & Restaurant sure serves up a storm with its delectable dishes full of bold colours and flavours. Great place for groups with its hearty portions and vibrant atmosphere~

Occupying the main annex of the former Bukit Timah Fire Station, Spruce had successfully converted the space into a spacious dining establishment with floor-to-ceiling glass windows allowing full natural lighting and a great view of the lush greenery of Bukit Batok Nature Reserve. Besides offering a great view, they also serve up a wide variety of breakfast options, from a selection of different "brekkies" and eggs benedicts to pancakes, waffles and toast. Or if you would like to fire up your meal even more, do try their spicy wings!!

Tucked away in the newly revamped Sunset away is German beer garden turned cosy garden-themed bistro: Buttercake & Cream. As the name suggests, there are plenty of delectable and creative homemade cakes and sweets, such as the pictured Paddle Pop Chocolate Bar Crunch. But don't be fooled, this place does offer a rather extensive range of mains as well!
