This hole-in-the-wall jap eatery has gained much popularity that they have opened another branch in the same building. I like how generous they served their premium chirashi-don with fresh sashimi and thickly sliced.
Huge portions aren't usually associated with Japanese culture, but since we're Singaporeans.. Sushi Kuu cleverly serves up mammoth-sized portions of Chirashi. Think extremely fresh assorted sashimi (from Tsukiji Fish Market!) on well-seasoned sushi rice. Their Signature Roll literally tastes like the ocean, with uni, botan ebi, black caviar and tobiko.
We wre rather lucky (or not) to be at an italian restuarant where they had no traditional italian dish on their menu (pizza, pasta or anti pasti). I ended up ordering this lobster which was an excellent choice to pair with italian beer.
This cafe is an offshoot of the StayReal fashion label, owned by Ah*Shin (Mayday pop band lead singer). Food is average but ambience is rather cool, with pop/art paintings on the wall for sale.
The name of this restaurant may mislead you that it is french or it serves cakes and coffee. But in actual fact, this is a casual jap eatery that serves serious sashimi for donburi lovers. Seating capacity is limited and reservation is recommended. I was lucky to get a seat at the sushi counter and watched in plan view how the chef prepared this fab bucket of seafood donburi treasures for me! 😋🍱 Itadakimasu!
Coffee is good, tomato and cheese toastie is perfect, atmosphere is laid back, my tot is grooving to the music while eating her granolas. Can't ask for more!
Souffle au Curry is a unique blend of curry rice with Miam2 signature souffle on top. The dish was a tad salty for me to finish. But thank God we can always count on the dessert - Banana Caramel pancakes, to save the day!
