I'm neutral towards durians, but surprisingly, I enjoyed the MSW Durian Sago ($8.50) so much! It wasn't too bitter or sweet, but it packed a strong durian flavour while staying light and refreshing 😋

Super worth it with the Burpple 1-for-1 deal! I recommend these for people who love food with strong, savoury flavours 😋 The B Supreme Plus and Truffle Carbonara were gd! My friend felt that the carbonara's sauce was quite jelat, but I thought it was ok!

I visited in early Jan 2022. I recommend the matcha azuki swiss roll cake!

I had the matcha choux and tried some of the other 2 items (the other choux didn't have matcha filling). The matcha cream for the choux and roll cake was rich and not sweet, which is great! However, the crusts for both choux were quite disappointing as they were quite soggy.

Love the black pepper beef horfun! For just $5.50, you get lots of tender beef slices and satisfaction too :)

I've been here thrice so far and this place has cheap and big portions of food! Standard is quite good too, so it's really value-for-money! 😋

1. Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings) - $4 for 6 pieces
8/10
The Xiao Long Baos here are huge and decent! I've had better ones before but for this price and standard, it's really worth it! 👍

2. Shandong Guo Tie (Shandong fried dumplings) - $5 for 10 pieces
7.5/10
Skin is quite crispy and has generous fillings.

3. Chicken Chop La Mian - $4
7.5/10
Noodles are quite qq and is about the same standard as the La Mian at Crystal Jade La Mian and Xiao Long Bao!

Damage: $13 only! 😲

Tried the Chocolate Float with Matcha Soft Serve in October 2018!

I feel that Matchya has the best matcha softserve in Singapore because out of all the matcha softserves I've had so far, their softserve has the strongest matcha flavour and is not too sweet.

The chocolate taste in the drink is mild, so you may be disappointed if you like richer-tasting chocolate. I wouldn't get this again but I'd still come here for the matcha softserve!

I'm sad that Matchaya at Icon Village closed down recently, but they still have an outlet at the Cathay!

Tried 4 dishes here 2 days ago! My ranking and review of the dishes (the position of the dishes in the photo are in brackets):

1. M.A.C. Feat Bacon (left)
8/10
Loved how the crunchy rosti shreds complemented the mac and cheese well 🤤

2. Waterfall Cheese Steak (top right)
7.5/10
Generous portion of beef, but some pieces have tendons. My friend says the cheese in the Waterfall Cheese Shrimp is nicer, but I'm allergic to prawns...

3. Pasta De Dak-Galbi (bottom right)
7/10
Good for those who enjoy cheese but don't want something too cheesy/jelat. This is tomato sauce-based and has spicy chicken pieces, but I prefer cream-based pastas so my rating may be biased 😝

4. Brooklyn Buffalo Wings (center)
6/10
Felt that I could get wings that tasted like this elsewhere for a cheaper price. But the saving grace was the unique cheese sauce! You might want to give this a miss and try something else here.
