Philly Submarine & Torpedo Fries Compared to legit Philly cheesesteak, this is nonsense (too stingy). In an alternate universe without cheesesteak, this is okay.

Beef BBQ Cheesesteak Sandwich Taste wise, good. Nothing to shout about. Just an ordinary beef sandwich with abundance of cheese. However, it was not that memorable. The beef needed some 'chews'. It was not that impressively packed, but good enough to fill me! That's all that matters to a hungry stomach. HAHA. The ambiance is great, especially in second floor. Homey and relaxing. Great for some gelato afternoons! 😘 #burpple

Thai Milk Tea and Sea Salt Caramel Gelato 🍦 Sooo fast to melt!!! I just moved for a few steps, it started to melt already. I liked the Sea Salt Caramel although, it was too sweet for me. Terrible Lamp Shank Presentation wise is OK and the food come out really fast to my surprise. Try to cut into it and the meat is so tough and so much tendon. First bite and the food ain't hot. The picture I post is after my meal. The Shank was almost not touch. Definately my last visit to Mad Jack.

Grilled Black Pepper Chicken The sauce was so tasty, I can't get enough of it! Student meal for $6.90 including a pepsi drink - isn't that affordable?! The portion is big too. Moreover, their cafe is study friendly on weekdays from 2.30pm to 6.30pm! Worth a try.

Pseudo-lava cake It was a lava cake but felt like a brownie. Really hard to get servers' attention, dingy atmosphere. The food is cheap, but if you want better quality for even cheaper, go to McDonald's. I'm serious.

Tomyam seafood pasta. Quite something! The flavour is great, a little tangy and spicy for excess consumption. Suggested for sharing.

The famed heart attack fried rice with steak. Did it give me a heart attack? No. Didn't even make my heart skip a beat la. The steak is nice, just not sure which cut it is, with that much fat and sinews.

Sambal cheese fries. Sounds nice in concept but too much sauce! Don't like this particular type of fries either.

Black Glutinous A neighbourhood ice cream shop at Bukit Batok, popular among the people living in this area. Pretty small shop but you would find some interesting flavours like this one. I love black glutinous itself as a dessert and definitely open to this creation. Surprisingly it taste great as well.

Durian & Earl Grey Ice Cream Ice cream shop located beside the hawker centre. Ice cream was light and creamy. Loved the durian ice cream in particular $7.40 for both scoops (+$0.80 premium flavour)

an old favourite [8/10] a tiny neighbourhood jaunt that i used to frequent a lot, but haven’t in a long while. stuck to my usual order of waffles with biscotti (premium, +80c) and earl grey ice cream (total $10.70). the biscotti is sweet but not too much and the earl grey is creamy yet fragrant. their ice cream never disappoints but the waffles seem to have dropped in standard in terms of taste, but the texture is still just right. will be back.

Spicy Asian Crab Penne SGD 16.90 - Finally get to try Rouse and it's their second last day of operation. Hope they'll resume operation soon 😐 This dish was rather spicy and it has a very strong dried shrimp taste. Not my type of dish .

Salmon Stack Salmon stack: smoked salmon sandwich with cream cheese on toast, though I think they could use a bagel instead of normal toast maybe it'll taste better | tandoori chicken spaghetti(?): my friend didn't really like it, saying that the spaghetti dance taste weird, and that the tandoori chicken didn't have the tandoori taste at all. | quinoa...: sorry i keep forgetting the names but the last one is a quinoa salad, the main is kinda large of a portion looking like a chunk of meatball, maybe should shrink the size of the ball but have more of it

A Toast To You! Brioche French Toast - $20.90 Had to give this one a try as it was a favourite on the menu, and it definitely did not disappoint! Housemade brioche drenched in cage-free eggs & pan-fried in butter, mascarpone, nut praline, caramelised bananas with warm butterscotch sauce. Loved every bite of it!

The MJ & Stacker Decker It was all worth it! Used the $20 Groupon voucher. Total bill was $35.40. One of the best pancakes around and it's halal! Will recommend to pancake lovers!

Sweet And Savoury Pancakes Smoked Pepper Flapjacks All my favourite stuff in one dish: pancakes, Turkey bacon with mushrooms. Looks nice, tastes better. Ala Mak Nasi Lemak- The Pancake Version Coconut pancakes, otah with poached eggs. Good for coconut lovers. The MJ Chocolate chip pancakes, ice cream with caramelised bananas. Would have preferred fried bananas to semi mashed ones.

Pear of Kings $5.80 it's sweet custard wrapped in mochi skin and shaped like a pear. nth pear taste abt it. hahahaha!

Speculoo Cupcake I am in 2 minds about this cupcake. I love the centre which consist of a core of speculoo paste. I love the taste of lotus biscoff. The part I am undecided is that the cream and cake part is also quite sweet. While I like this cupcake, it got a little too much towards the end. I think I don't have a sweet tooth. So it might work for those who really love sweet stuff.

Red Velvet Cupcake Ah this cupcake is too sweet for me. Maybe those with sweet tooth will like it.

Chocolate Cupcake with rich Icing Between the Red Velvet Nutella and the Chocolate Orange Salted Caramel (pictured on the bottom half), I’ll go with the latter. A very moist cupcake, with a dab of salted caramel centre, the tangy liquorish was a nice of kick to the chocolate icing. It’s a little on a pricey side for $4 a muffin or ($20 for 6), but overall a nice cupcake I might come back for from time to time. *Note: my taste palate leans towards dark bitter chocolate at a sweet spot of 65%-72% cocoa. So please use that as a gauge of my taste perspective.

Nutty Profession $6.50 🍫🥛☕️ Probably 600 calories of Nutella dunked in with an espresso popsicle served with a mini thing of warm milk! 🍫☕️🥛 Thanks to this I was completely wide awake at 3am! I had this at 830pm 😂 🍫☕️🥛 It is such a good combination though it takes a while for the Nutella to simmer down and blend well with the milk and espresso. 🍫☕️🥛 Definitely try their ondeh ondeh cake as well!
