This place is an iconic hawker centre with a great atmosphere. Most stalls are closed in the morning/afternoon so I only got to try the carrot cake but it was very flavourful! Rich umami flavour and sweet but not overpoweringly so.

Chicken Kway Teow Noodle Soup: $6
Thick Tom Yum with Kway Teow Noodles: $6

The Kway Teow Soup was pretty yummy though a tad sweet. Reminded me of kway chap soup. The Tom Yum was definitely the star with a delightful lemongrass kick! Sour and spicy without being overpowering. Built up a sweat while eating. The portions were generous and near overflowing. The noodles were on the chewier side which I liked. The seafood was pretty fresh but sparse.

Seven Wonders Ramen: $7.80

The Seven Wonders Ramen was a surprising delight with the sweet chilli adding a wonderful depth and dimension that made my tastebuds sing. Though the ingredients were a little cold and the minced meat with ginger had an odd taste, the noodles were delightfully springy and tasted very authentic. The soup itself had a strong but pleasant spicy ginger and garlic kick that had me craving for more!

^^^ Like wow... So flavourful! It’s totally from a box but it has a ton of MSG, giving it loads of umami flavour. The peas were crisp and juicy, and the cranberry sauce really balanced out the savoury tastes. Though it was a touch too sour for my taste, I thought the plate of meatballs were very well balanced with the crisp peas, juicy meatballs and creamy mash. The meatballs especially were like little nuggets of juicy, slightly sweet meat! The mushroom soup was quite delicious. It was creamy and the mushroom taste was pleasant and not overwhelming. There were also plenty of little chunks of mushroom that was very yummy.

The rest, however, was a little underwhelming, especially for their price tag. The garlic bread was subpar; it was soft and not very crisp, with little flavour. The fried chicken was also underwhelming, not a lot of flavour and slightly overcooked.

The blueberry cheesecake had a delicious crust. It was not as creamy as I’d have liked and the blueberries tasted slightly artificial.

Dinner Buffet 4 Pax: $121.95 ($30.50/Pax)

It’s the first time I’ve grilled on paper before and the experience was... unsavoury... The meat would have a sort of β€œjuice” ooze out (especially beef) and pool onto the paper which was damn disgusting. Plus, the paper heated up really slowly so the meat took longer than we were used to to fully cook. It also didn’t really take on that char-grilled flavour unless you burned it a bit and by then the meat would be grey and overcooked :-(

The mashed potato and ice cream was surprisingly good however. The rice balls were pretty yummy. The Oreo cheesecake was so-so and I felt like the strawberry cheesecake was an odd flavour combination that did not really suit me. A small criticism I also have is that the lettuce was kind of small and were all broken up so it was hard to make wraps.

The flavour of the pork was mediocre on its own and lacked depth. The garlic chicken was well seasoned but the others were not savoury enough for me. Service was average at best.

Chicken Curry Don: $10.90
Nema Tama Buta Don: $12.90

The rice had a nice bouncy texture and they gave a generous amount of meat and sauce. The japanese curry was flavourful and the vegetables were stewed to a nice texture. The other dish tasted like an average chicken don. The chicken in both were however a little overcooked with a slight chewy texture.

Ordering is done at a self-serve kiosk though there is staff on hand to provide assistance. Drinks are free-flow and there is a small corner offering extra condiments and miso soup. Would recommend the garlic miso sauce to add extra umami flavour!
