We have heard so much on 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐅 𝐖𝐄𝐈 𝐇𝐊 𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐎𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐔𝐍, which have 3 outlets currently and is opened by the ex-head dim sum chef from Peach Garden Hotel Miramar. We dropped by their main outlet in Bedok and did a takeaway of their Char Siew & Prawn Cheong Fun. The freshly-made to order Cheong Fun skin is very thin and QQ, wrapped with relatively fair bit of ingredients! Char Siew is sweet and tasty, whereas prawn is very fresh and plump. The sauce is Hong Kong style with a lil tweak so it’s savoury, and slightly towards sweet! Even though it’s takeaway, it’s still very tasty and delicious! Definitely a good place to satisfy our craving of Hong Kong style stuffed Chee Cheong Fun!

Chances upon a beautiful Japanese Teahouse in Chijmes & it’s non other than 𝗛𝗩𝗔𝗟𝗔! They served a wide range of Matcha desserts & drinks. A pity that they have run out of Matcha cakes by the time we arrived thus we got these 2 cakes - Honey Earl Grey Hazelnut and Chocolate Truffle.

Honey Earl Grey Hazelnut is something new and exquisite! It’s a well balanced combination and we really enjoyed it! Very light, fluffy and has a flavourful Earl Grey taste in it! We should go back for more! Chocolate Truffle is a sure hit for all chocolate fans as it’s very rich in chocolate!

It’s a cosy restaurant divided into 2 sections, DIY hotpot table or regular table. It’s a pity, when we arrived the DIY hotpot table were all fully occupied thus we are left with the regular table, this means you will order from the menu & the chef will cook it for you before serving to you. ⠀

There were different types of okonomiyaki and we after much consideration, we decided on the mixed version with pork, shrimp and squid in it. This definitely worth the wait, beautifully golden brown okonomiyaki were served with drizzle of topping sauce, mayonnaise, aonoir powder and best part of all, dried bonito flakes were free flow on every table! It was a good mix of flour, eggs, chopped cabbage, bacon, as well as the sweetness of seafoods all together! Super duper yummy, and we will definitely be back again to try the DIY hotpot table so we can cook this ourselves! Yayyy!!! ⠀

Madly missing Taiwanese food and this is the closest we can get to eat to our favourite Braised Pork Rice 卤肉饭. 𝐄𝐚𝐭 𝟑 𝐁𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐬 呷三碗 is an authentic Taiwanese cafe that serves super authentic Taiwanese food. We came here about 8pm, thinking of skipping the dinner crowd but there were 6 pax in front of us. Lucky for us, we managed to order before their last order. Their 卤肉饭 is so good that we ordered another bowl! Meat is well braised, soft, thinly sliced and juicy. They don’t have a lot of fatty meat, so the ratio of meat is well balanced. The most authentic part is the braised sauce on the rice! It opens up our appetite so we couldn’t be satisfied with a single bowl.⠀

After a long 3 months of closure due to renovations, Golden Mile Food Centre has finally re-open approx 2 weeks ago on the 1st March 2021! Today, we went back for lunch and we had to satisfy our cravings for 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙁𝙐 𝙁𝙍𝙄𝙀𝘿 𝙃𝙊𝙆𝙆𝙄𝙀𝙉 𝙋𝙍𝘼𝙒𝙉 𝙉𝙊𝙊𝘿𝙇𝙀𝙎! Ordered the $5 portion with thick Bee Hoon and it was soooooo superrrrr delicious! It was still as good as before, flavourful, comforting and satisfying! Noodles are fried till wok-hei, with fresh prawns, sotong and pork belly, it was so good that we couldn’t stop once we start eating. FANTASTIC! ⠀
