Spotted this small snack shop on the walk to Kamakura’s Great Buddha. We couldn’t leave without getting one after taking in whiffs of that savoury fragrance! Go for the freshly made ones if you’re having them on the spot and you’ll be able to watch the staff hot press the roasted octopus right in front of you. Each serving is 2 thin sheets of piping hot crispy cracker, savoury with a tinge of sweetness. It was gone way too soon. Regrets not getting the packaged ones home!

The soup is delicious! The claypot styles makes the soup tastes like a broth.. concentrated and tasty 👍 Wish there is more soup though as the space are taken up by the pork and bee hoon 😂 The pork is soft and smooth. The enokitake mushroom and lettuce are nice toppings that compliments the dish. Only caveat is the waiting time is always very long (~20 mins) and sometimes the auntie might forget orders as she does not have any form of ordering system. Check your watch and check back with the auntie after 15 minutes, in case she forgets your order 😅. Will come back again for this claypot dish 😃

Can't remember the number of soft serves and ice creams we had in a week of Japan, but this is the one I can only wish I have easier access to! Held in a thin langue de chat cone with the best cookie like texture, the soft serve was extremely smooth and creamy, being especially strong in its fragrant milk flavour. If you're familiar with the famous 白色恋人 biscuits (Shiroi Koibito), this tasted exactly like that but in a different form!! Where to find them? There are loads of them across Tokyo and major tourist attractions like Asakusa (slightly pricier in those though), just look out for their posters!

Cutest organic baked doughnuts! And they turned out slightly better than expected - not greasy and surprisingly not too cloyingly sweet, but the texture was too dry. (From 210¥ for the animal versions)

Couldn't help overexcitedly gushing over its cuteness in the shop. Pity the choux was a little too dry and hard, but otherwise, the cream was delish. Especially the seasonal peach which had bits in it! (Pretty pricey at 400¥ onwards for takeaways though) #burpple

Highly recommend! Their ❄️ snowflake waffles are unlike common waffles, they are small, individual waffles with individual flavours! I tried Chocolate Melt, Bamboo Charcoal and Cookie Butter flavours, topping it up with 🐰 Hunny Bunny ice cream (milk and wildflower honey). All of them taste so good! Love the ice cream! The 🍯 honey makes the ice cream tastes smooth and with just enough sweetness. My friend said their ice cream are freshly made in the shop and their coconut ice cream 🍦 is the best he has ever eaten! The place is cosy with nice ambience. 🌈 Great way to spend chilling out with friends over delicious waffles, ice cream and ☕️ coffee! Missing this place already and can't wait to go back to try out more waffles and ice cream flavours! 👍👍🐰🦉

I added fried fish cake and vegetables to the white bee hoon. The bee hoon is not warm which is disappointing. The fried fish cake is quite well cooked, it does not taste too fried and 'heaty'.. which I prefer. Will come back to try their Penang laksa next time.

Overall I enjoyed the coffee, kaya toast and soft boiled eggs. Wished that all the dishes are warm enough. They were quite cold when eaten and tasted quite normal. Kaya toast also came a bit late. Price is $4.70. Don't think I will come back again though.

A pretty huge slab of sashimi-grade salmon sits atop a bowl of lightly charred Japanese rice, showered with generous amounts of tobiko and furikaki - my mouth was watering before I even started eating. The salmon was cooked perfectly with lusciously soft insides, and the smoky mentaiko sauce went really well with it.

The sauce! Oh my goodness! The drumstick meat is so smooth, soft and juicy. The other duck meat parts are not bad too. The sauce really gives the duck meat its juiciness and brings out the tastiness of the duck meat. Portion still seem a bit small for two person to share as there are quite a bit of bones. Overall a great dish and I will come back again to try this and other meat dishes. Tip: their roast meat rice dishes are only available from 11am to 5pm. So do pop by for lunch for a better deal as their single bowl of rice is $2!

My weekly frequents! The ingredients are mostly healthy and they taste delicious. I really like how they use the natural ingredients to bring out the taste of the fresh meat and the vegetables. I can say this is the clever and fine art of cooking, a delightful play of interesting ingredients (think black beans, Korean style seaweed, quinoa, walnuts) and a refreshing mix of western and Asian (bacon hairy gourd wrap!) Love the 10 grain rice! The grains are soft and tasty, unlike most brown rice which is really hard to chew and taste too 'healthy'. Match the deli set with their dessert (their ice cream is yum!) and it completes the whole meal! 😃 If you are dining with your friend, then you both can pick different choices of each of your deli sets to share, just like I did, and you both can have more variety!

Love this dish the first time I tried it! The infusion of the warm braised pork sauce into the rice makes it so delicious! Best eaten while it is still warm as it doesn't taste that great once it turns cold. The portion is quite small for a meal by itself. Hence, try this dish with the pig's organ soup for the best combi!
