We had the nasi beef / chicken rendang with Burpple beyond 1-for-1 deals in the homely and lovely cafe. They were both tasty and hearty.

We also added on a Lapis in Wonderland ($10.90), which is a modern delightful take on a kueh lapis dessert, and some specialty coffees.

The cafe staff made us feel right at home and we will be back for more.

We had the 1-for-1 value combos (chicken katsu + teriyaki chicken don & fish katsu + mushrooms don) and they were super satisfying! The meat was tender, the katsus well done and the mushrooms were well sautéed. There were broccolis and a hidden onsen egg in the middle that broke into the piping hot Japanese rice.

We also tried their mushroom soup, iced oolong tea and strawberry raspberry milkshake. We are very satisfied.

We had the Karaage and Tsukune Donburi and Unagi Don with the burpple beyond deal. We also added a Barachirashi Don, Umeshu and Grape Soda as we were hungry and the ambience was great. The food was fresh and well worth the price. Will be back!
