Delicious Sous Vide My go-to for when I went to eat clean. Was excited to try their new tempeh side, but sadly I found it too dry for my liking and couldn’t really taste the chilli either. However their older sides are truly classic- love their soba noodles and roasted veggies most!

Miso Tofu Not exactly a fan of the Miso Tofu - tasted pretty healthy with not much strong flavours, altho the small cubes may make it slightly addictive.

Always reliable for honest, good, quality grain bowls. I dare say it’s been a couple of years since I last stepped into GT. The menu’s changed (no more salad base omg), there’re now more unfamiliar faces, and even the vibe feels oddly different; but one thing’s for sure — the food’s still as solid as ever. I fell back on their quinoa given that the greens are now gone, and I’m pleased to say it’s as tasty as I remember them to be when they first opened their doors. The Sous-vide Salmon’s still fork tender and beautifully charred on the outside (if smaller than I recall haha); Roast Chicken’s as juicy and well-seasoned; and really all my favourites that they still carry remain as delicious. Sure there are plenty of other grain bowl options around right now and yes GT isn’t exactly the cheapest. Perhaps it’s nostalgia, as well as the fact that I know I’d always leave the restaurant mega satisfied, that cements GT as among my fave grain bowl spots. Ever. Besides they now carry Mate Mate and I swear there’s no better way to end the meal than with a can of this refreshing sparkling tea 🥰

Atypical Grain Bowls @ $16+ Being in the heart of the financial district, the rustic-themed Grain Traders is a really nice place to people-watch during lunchtime (that is, if you can beat the office crowd to get a window seat). Get your money's worth by choosing the more exotic options; here is crusted tuna tataki (+$1.50), ratatouille, mixed bean salad, curried veg and sunflower seeds atop barley risotto, diviiiine.

$1 Grab bentos QQ's foray into bentos is pretty interesting with this tomato salmon. For $1 its worth it and aids me towards eating more clean, though the rice mix seens to be of the drier and plainer side

After our yoga session, my friend wanted to grab a rice ball from @qqricesg. I said I’d go with intending not to get one myself...but then...I realised I absolutely friggin love QQ Rice...so I got my usual. It’s been absolutely forever since I went to QQ Rice, but the girl who introduced me to them in the first place is back in Singapore and so we ended up meeting there (of course!). If you haven’t tried one yet Singaporeans, you have to go! It’s like a rice ball sandwich, you get a dollop of sticky rice, in this case purple rice, filled with your choice of fillings. My friend kindly created mine for me as I was heading over and the combo she chose was amazing! Al ragu pappardelle ($25.80) - Al dente pasta, sauce was quite tasty but the depth of meaty flavour was absent. - Some parts of the beef chunks were a little tough and contained small amounts of tendon 🥩 [5/10]

Carbonara roma linguine ($26.80) - Having “pasta” in the restaurant name, it’s a shame the pasta was undercooked and hard. - Presentation was rather plain with only pasta and pancetta. - Sauce lacked in flavour and seasoning, even Pastamania can do better 🥲 [2/10]

Calamari fritto spaghetti ($26.80) - Interesting combi, calamari was crispy and chewy! - Tanginess of lemon butter sauce was barely present, could have stronger savouriness. [6/10]

Pita Taste is good! but portion is quite huge (to justify the price I guess) and can get overwhelming

Lox $17.30 smoked salmon, onions, scallion cream cheese, capers, tomatoes, lemon juice, all-sorts bagel

B.S.M ($17.50) Top up with hashbrown for $2. I love that they were generous with the cheese, look at that cheese pull. The bagel wasnt hard and the sesame topping make it crispy. The scrambled eggs were well done. The patty was a bit sour, but not bad. The hashbrown was still crispy, definitely recommend to add it.

Fall-off-the-bone Tenderness😋 An outlet at Club Steet and another at Jalan Kayu, Jerry’s sure knows how to barbecue and grill well... 。 Ordered their Baby Back Pork Ribs Full Slab ($36.95) that comes with 2 side dishes of your choice. Glad that I wasn’t disappointed that night and went to bed with an utterly satisfied tummy😌.

Fish N Chips [$15] This was part of the weekday lunch set which comes with a starter (either salad or soup). The fish was pretty substantial and the batter crisp and well fried. Towards the end it got a bit too jelak somehow.

Half Rack Pork Ribs This was the bomb! Got these ribs for only $1 during Chope's 6th birthday promo 😋 We also ordered a USDA beef burger (tasted average) and a dory fish & chips. The fish was HUGE and it wasn't because the flour made it seem so.
