One of the best Omakase experience I had in Singapore. Tried their Omakase for dinner. Ingredients were fresh and authentic. The bluefin tuna was succulent, saba was well-seasoned, prawn was at its freshest. And best of all, they were really generous with their portion.

We were told that the Head Chef came from a Michelin star restaurant back in Japan. And indeed, he was extremely professional and passionate about his food. The other staff were friendly and knowledgable, introducing each dish as they were served. Interior was chic and atmosphere was great. Overall a wonderful experience!

Tried this new seafood soup in the hood. Ordered their signature Seafood Soup with Batang and Crayfish.

The price is comparable to other similar seafood soup but they are much more generous with their portion. Batang fish was really fresh, and the minced meat was well marinated. The broth is on the lighter side but still tasty.

Overall a great and value for money meal.

Checked out this new restaurant at Scott Square (at the former spot of Coffee Academics).

Ordered their butter board for a starter. Great tasting butters with different selections of breads. My personal favourite was the one with furikake.

Had the scallop risotto and truffle chicken ballotine as well. Scallop was well cooked and the risotto was really flavourful. The truffle chicken ballotine wasn’t too bad either.

Overall a great dining experience, service was commendable too!

Decided to try some rice dumplings from Joo Chiat Kim Choo as I was intrigued by their wide selections.

The rice dumplings were really delicious! Emperor’s Rice Dumpling was filled generously with premium ingredients, the Hokkien Rice Dumpling was well seasoned and flavourful, Hakka Rice Dumpling was not too bad either. My favourite was the Pulut Hitam Nonya Dumpling. A good balance of sweet and savouriness. Overall, great selections and flavours!

Decided to try One Prawn & Co after hearing raves. And they truly lived up to their name.

I ordered the Lala & Big Prawn soup with dry noodles. Soup was rich and savoury, every sip was packed with flavours. Noodles was well seasoned too with pork lard and fried shallots. Even though slightly on the pricey side, it’s worth the money with generous amount of prawns, clams, and free flow rich broth.

The ngoh hiang was a great addition too. I will recommend getting the tasting platter to go along.

And service was really good too!

Stumbled upon this authentic Irish Pub along Orchard Road. Great food and vibes! Food portion was really generous and prices were reasonable.

Fish and Chips were well fried but could do even better with more seasoning. The ribs were really tasty and tender.

Great place to unwind and chill out with friends while enjoying the tasty food and a pint of beer!

Craving for some Korean fried chicken and decided to give Chir Chir a try.

Was spoilt for choice by their selection of fried chicken flavours. We finally decided on the classic garlicky soy, and K curry which I haven’t tried before. Chicken was tender and really crispy. The portion was also really generous too!

We had the bulgogi fries as well. Fries were well fried with added yummy chicken bits. Great for starters!

Tried their new acai yogurt smoothie and also the dragon fruit yogurt. Both were really yummy but I preferred the dragon fruit yogurt which has fresh fruit purée. The freshness of the fruit balances out the tartness of the yogurt. Drinks were not too sweet and really refreshing. They make great after-meal dessert as well!

Had iberico katsudon for lunch at this unpretentious eatery. Generous portion with a big slice of well fried pork katsu. The egg was silky and flavourful with pops of onions. Added a small top up for a chawanmushi, miso soup, and drink to complete the meal. Nice and affordable!

Was craving for some comfort food and tried this new Fu Lin outlet at Suntec. Affordable, generous portion, and the same great selection of items.

There’s an option of either soup or dry and we chose the latter with our mountain of yong tau foo. Ingredients were well fried and drizzled with their signature gravy. The thick beehoon came in the same yummy gravy as well.

The taste was on the lighter side as compared to other outlets. Overall, great food for a comfort meal.

Had lunch here one of the weekdays and was pleasantly surprised by the food and service.

Ordered the Three Little Pigs Burger and their Signature Original BBQ Ribs which comes with a selection of sides. Their cheese fries were great with real melted cheese instead of the usual nacho cheese sauce. Mashed potatoes were homemade too and tasted really fresh.

I enjoyed the mains as well, especially the burger. Portions were generous and flavours were on point.

Overall, a great lunch!

Dropped by this Izakaya tucked in between the shophouses after work and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. Interior deco was reminiscent of an authentic Japanese izakaya.

The tako wasabi was well seasoned, rosti mentai had great flavours with bursting umami from the mentai sauce. We ordered the chef’s selection kushiyaki and buta shogayaki don too. Both were delicious!

Price range were rather affordable considering quality and portion. Pretty value for money!
