First time at Suki-Ya KIN First time trying at Suki-Ya KIN’s hotpot… price point is average. Burpple deal not really worth but food wise taste ok. Choices are kinda limited, mostly beef options. If you prefer beef and looking for affordable pricing I think here will be a good place to try.

Beef chuck roll There is only the premium buffet now and was around $43 per pax before Burpple (~$34 with Burpple). Didn't really find it worth because the quality of the food was not great. The soup was not nice too, had to add lots of veggies to make it taste sweeter. The beef chuck roll was very gamey, would suggest to avoid it...

1-for-1 Main @ Brotzeit Rating: 8/10 ⭐️ Mains Ordered: - Chicken Schnitzel with Spatzle ($28) The portion was huge, and the schnitzel came with cranberry jam & lemon which was really good pairing! We replaced the side with Spatzle, and it initially tasted "bland" but it grew on us after a few mouths & was really good! - Pork Knucle with Rosti ($19) This was a little on the smaller side, but it was really good. The rosti felt a little oily after awhile, but it wasn't gelak (for sharing 2 pax). This dish came w mustard, good pairing w the pork knuckle! Overall Damage with burpple beyond: $32 (inclusive of GST & $2 for 2 refillable water) 😆 Overall: We enjoyed our meal & the service was great & felt welcoming :) The portion was just right for 2 pax, without making us feel too full or still starving after the meal. Pork Knuckle Rösti with Kale | $18 My go-to at Bread time when I want something of a smaller portion and more balanced. Surprisingly the quality can vary quite a bit also depending on which cuts of meats you get, the level of charring and the amount of fibre. This time the fat:protein ratio was much higher.

We got a 3 course meal ;) Appetisers - Mrs Pho Fried Spring Roll & Mama’s Lucky Meat Balls Mains - Chicken Pho & Sliced Beef Pho Dessert - 2 x Creme Caramel Drinks - Lemonade & Summer Iced Tea We were off to an excellent start with appetisers. The meat balls are juicy and the spring rolls were crunchy! The chicken in the pho is soft and well flavoured. (I don’t mind MSG!) Beef soup was better but the beef slice was slightly tough. The caramel pudding wrapped up the meal nicely. Super love the lemonade drink! It was the perfect sourness! Glad to have stumbled upon this place randomly! Really worth it

out pho dinner visited on a Tue evening and the place wasn't crowded. however quite a lot of viets. this place uses robot servers. be careful when u take the hot pho from it. starters are good. pho is quite okay... I feel that Uncle Roger will approve (MSG-laden) personally prefer nam nam burpple deal $32 nett for 2 pax not really a deal because there's already an all day set meal (main, side, drink) for $13.90++ so end up is quite the same except with burpple deal u get a bánh flan, which is also not very enjoyable.

Delicious Donuts I got 2 cold brews (hazelnut & vanilla), the hazelnut donut and the blueberry donut. I loveeeeeee both donuts, so good and full of fillings! The drinks were wonderful as well. Paid $6.70 for this, would come back again. Thank you for accepting deals on exclusion days!

Disappointing 🤢 Was drawn to this restaurant due to the burpple deal. But the restaurant was a disappointment from the moment I stepped in. The buffer display looks meh and the cooked food section looks very unappetizing. Ordered the burpple Angus beef buffet and the meat came with brown-black color. The staff claimed that the meat is fresh from the freezer and cut only when ordered, he explained that the color is from dried blood. But I have never seen this color on meat in other hotpot stores. To top it off, we had our meal in the company of multiple cockroaches climbing on the wall next to us and on our table 🤢 You can get better quality food and restaurant standard at the same or cheaper prices in other hotpot establishments..

Obviously I went for the Australian wagyu beef buffet valued at $46.90 instead of the other valued at $118.90 Food: turned out to be really great. Even if u chose the Australian wagyu buffet you are still allowed to choose from the lower tier meats but once u go premium, you can’t go back. The quality of the meat is excellent at its price point. 10/10 would go again. Soup base was normal, MALA was good tomato was too sweet but they do warn u before hand that their tomato soup is sweet. My fault there, but I expected more from it. Ambience: typical city hotpot style hotpot. 90 mins seemed a little too short but I was a fast eater, no problem. Slower eaters need to take note of time. Service: pretty decent, fast replenishment of food and drinks.

super recco!! have been wanting to try this place for a while now & finally went down to try today. was initially put off as it was a bar-type of place so i didn't know if it would really be good. however!!!! i was so pleasantly surprised. first the staff were so attentive & helpful! and the star of the night for real. this bowl was $29.90 & each type of sashimi had FIVE SLICES (as opposed to 3-4 from most places). the sashimi was tasty although defo not like omakase/jap restaurants type of level but rly rly enjoyable! they had tuna, salmon, swordfish, scallop, octopus and tamago. my only feedback is that the wasabi could have been less artificial. there was no ++ and after 1 for 1, we only paid $29.90 for TWO big bowls! 🙌🏻 ps: there's happy hour promos every single day w some days being soju night & housepour spirits night (1 for 1 too). had a look at their christmas cocktail menu which looked q yummy too! would defo be back to try their drinks on a non-weeknight 😉

Pancake Ah Long Pancake is not stranger to many people as they have a few outlets, with one located at Paya Lebar Square. Choose from the traditional style or added with egg. Then select the topping you want to add to your pancake. I gotten the toppings of chicken floss and peanut, both with cheese as well. The texture is enjoyable and sufficient topping for me.

Pancake (from $1.20) Ah Long Pancake is where you can find some of the most interesting min jiang kueh flavours. I was taken aback by their savoury options such as Sambal Chilli, Carrot, Spring Onion with Egg ($1.70) and Caipu, Carrot, Spring Onion with Egg ($1.70). The last time I was there, I went for the less adventurous Corn, Peanut with Egg ($1.70) and was wowed by both the portion as well as the delicious combination of the chewy pancake and its crispy exterior!

Egg Cheese Sausage Pancake One of my favourite Min Jiang Kueh shops is Ah Long Pancake because they have savoury flavours like egg, cheese and sausage! Love how the sides are crispy and there are so many ingredients in this! 😍
