Two more weeks to Valentine鈥檚 Day! Here鈥檚 a preview of the 5-course Dinner Degustation Menu from @TablescapeSG, one of the mains options which is the confit black Cod with purple potato chips. Overall, the dishes presented for the special menu are vibrant and adds to the romantic ambience. The V-Day menu will be available from 8 to 16 February 2020 and 5-course dinner menu is priced at S$168++ per couple without beverage options.

Egg ($28). What's simply known as "Egg" on the menu is actually a luxe European dish with freshly shaved black truffles. The egg is slow-cooked at 62 degrees, so that it's molten but still creamy. Their Premium Japanese Wagyu Beef Rice Bowls Are Now Available For Delivery And Self Pick-up. T R E A T It is perfectly possible to have very tasty meals during this period where we must all do our part to #StayHome. Nearly every restaurant is offering takeaway/delivery at the moment, including those that were notoriously hard to get a reservation at. So choices are aplenty. A few days ago, while I was debating where to order Wednesday鈥檚 lunch from, my ex-JC mate Brian messaged to say he wanted to treat me and my fam to a meal. From @fatcowsg no less. Awarded 鈥淩estaurant Of The Year鈥 by @chopesg in 2018 and 2019, Fat Cow is particularly well-known for their Japanese Wagyu beef and rice bowls. I have always had a soft spot for the 鈥淔at Cow Donburi鈥 ($48) myself and I am happy to report, after factoring in the travel time, it still managed to taste good. Granted the charcoal-grilled Wagyu beef was not piping hot like it would be when you are having it in the restaurant, but it was as buttery-soft and flavourful as ever. Together with the onsen egg and truffle oil-dressed seasoned rice, it formed a soul-satisfying, indulgent one-dish meal that I could happily have anytime. My niece who ordered the same dish, was full of praises for it as well. My hubby and his brother picked the 鈥淭okujou Donburi鈥 ($68), a ricebowl topped with tempura prawns, unagi, salmon mentai, Wagyu beef, foie gras, abalone and a housemade sauce. I reckon it is ideal for those who are after a bit of everything. Each of our orders was actually a set meal as it came with a miso soup and a chawanmushi filled with mushrooms, chicken and prawn. [Red Velvet Waffles w Earl Grey Lavender & Mango Passion Ice-cream] Came here with the intention of trying the cream cheese waffles! It was a pretty decent icecream w waffles dish! But, when the icecream was mixed together with the waffles, the icecream kinda overpowered the cream cheese taste. Would be better if the waffle was bigger though! 馃槄馃槄馃槄

Waffles Omggg Was late at night and I really wanted desserts so thankfully oblong closed at 2 on a Friday!!!! 鈽猴笍 . Had the red velvet waffle and double scoop (~$11.50) after everyone hyped me up about the red velvet, and wOW it totally deserved the hype!! Waffles with cream cheese between it, wasn鈥檛 sure if it would work with the ice cream but the slight saltiness and different temperature of the ice cream/ cream cheese cake together to make such an amazinggg dessert 馃崷 . Cookies and cream wasn鈥檛 your usual cnc ice cream, since the cream and cookie wasn鈥檛 separated and the cookie chunks were more like blended into the ice cream, with an Oreo milkshake like texture 馃嵍馃崻 . Red Velvet Waffles!!! Red Velvet Waffles with 2 scoops (Run & Raisins and Spooky Dark Chocolate) - $14.70 This is part of a combo. The combo consist of: 1) Waffle of choice with more than 10 different types/flavours 2) Syrup of your choice (more than 6-7 different choices) 3) Ice Cream scoop: Every combo has 1 scoop. Subsequent scoops would require additional cost 4) Drink of your choice The S鈥檓ores and Strawberry Shortcake waffles are known to be the best selling here. There is a wait time depending on the crowd. There would be a longer wait time after 9.30pm onwards, towards the late night period.

Went to Rum Bellion 2019. Discovered a few exquisite rums, which utterly satisfied my rum novice taste buds. - Bumbu was one of those 鈥 loved the very vanilla forward flavour, with strong whiffs of caramel and banana; unbelievably smooth and easy to drink. - Very logically, the folks came up with this intriguing Kakigori, mixing in banana cream, osmanthus milk and ginger crumbs. The strength of the rum was toned down, but the result was an enjoyable shaved ice dessert with a gratuitous amount of banana fragrance.

Restaurant Hopping -- Caribbean Cuisine We enjoyed delicacies from this restaurant so so much! Every dish was well-seasoned and tasted so unique and tasty. I was particularly impressed by the appleton chocolate mousse. We are so grateful to Eatigo to grant us the chance to enjoy this wonderful meal with 50% discount !

The best kind of drinks are the ones after work! Presenting Francis Drake - Abuelo 7 years + passionfruit puree + homemade cinnamon syrup. Sweet and fruity with a nice kick from the rum! It was love at first sip! (And the geek in me chose this because of Uncharted! - which I have yet to finish) Also got the jerk chicken and curry curry goat for mains using the 1-for-1 Entertainer app deal! Chicken was nice and tender while the goat curry was full of flavour. Kept eating it even though we had already run out of rice cos the flavour was so addictive! I love how the rice was topped with a slice of fried plantain.馃崒 I'm not a fan of coleslaw but their lemon lime slaw was really refreshing and balanced the heavy flavours of the chicken and curry. All in all, a well rounded and satisfying meal! Couldn't have chosen a better place for a hump day dinner! Will be back for more! 馃槜 #burpple
