Never Coming Back Horrible don - quantity + quality of sashimi was bad and they covered the rice with diced up crab meat to try and mask how little sashimi they were giving! Waited approx 30 mins for the don although we were the first ones in the restaurant during lunch. Ordered the signature maki roll and it was the smallest, plainest maki I have ever seen and cost $22! Really overpriced and can’t see the quality at all. Salad bar was pathetic with 5-6 choices of mundane choices. After Maru’s menu changes, their prices went up, quality and quantity went down and that’s the reason for their downfall. Will never visit again.

Lousy Unagi Don One of the worst experiences ever. I’d been previously a few times and the food was good. But now that they’ve renovated and changed management, it’s pretty terrible. Ordered the pork with fried rice don. When it came, it was just plain rice. Staff then told me that they’ve changed the menu but didn’t update me that the rice was no longer fried rice. Also ordered the Unagi bowl and the unagi was dry and rubbery. Worse than what you can get at a hawker center. Don’t go here ever. Food is also expensive as all the dons are 20+ and portions are tiny.

delightful experience (-: the garlic rice was super amazing!!!!! and the cheese on the salmon was so shiok 💯💯💯 highly recommend the pork bowl (~$20) as well, very tasty and juicy 😆 if you like beef, the truffle beef bowl (~$22) is worth a try too, extremely tender and delicious (‘:

Beef Foie Gras Bowl ($18.90) An almost inconspicuous restaurant located in the basement level of Raffles Xchange, Wheat Baumkuchen (or simply WHEAT) gives the ever-demanding CBD lunch crowd a customisable, affordable and healthy food option to perk up the rest of their day in the immutably obsolete 40-hour work week that started as a result of the United States Congress getting in bed with the Fair Labor Standards Act on October 24, 1940. With Burpple Beyond, I decided to get their Beef Foie Gras Bowl ($18.90) with the option of their Bhutanese red rice instead of jasmine rice, which has a nuttier and almost starchier flavour than its white rice counterpart. The beef was unfortunately served at a doneness that I have stood against since the dawn of time: Well Done. There was also a sizeable portion of foie gras, which in my opinion could’ve been cooked a little more than it was, served alongside some greens, kimchi and a poached egg.

Beef & Foie Gras Don With Ice Lemon Tea This place is located just a minute walking distance from Raffles Place mrt. Decided to give it a try since I pass by this restaurant almost everyday. For just $21++, you got 2 same set with ice lemon tea under Beyond 1 for 1 deal. Not bad overall. The place is a bit crowded during lunch hour, you may either visit them before 12pm or after 1.30pm to avoid the crowds.

Portuguese Egg Tarts Really enjoyed this! Got them fresh from the oven. They were crisp & flaky on the outside, and the egg custard was not too eggy which I appreciated. They weren’t too sweet as well!

Mini Awesome Portuguese Egg Tarts Mini Egg Tarts: 3 for $2.80, 12 for $11 Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Best to get the ones in the morning when it is freshly baked. Overall, it is a well-baked egg tart but it might be a little dry sometimes.

Madeleine’s Original Portuguese Egg Tart. Located at 198 Tanjong Pager Rd, Singapore 436997. . . 1 for $1.80, 6 for $10. Simple but delicious tea break on a slow Monday! We really enjoyed Portuguese egg tart and would order whenever we sees one.. So far, the best one we had was in Macau - Lord Stow’s. There’s so many in SG and not easy to find a good one with good crispy yet fluffy crust, eggy inside that’s not too sweet, milky or watery. After we had a bite of these, 😱😱 these taste pretty similar and we would say one of the best we had in SG!! Everything was on point✔️THEY WERE SO GOOOD! PS: they taste even better after we heat them up! . . They also have the mini version of egg tarts selling at 3 pcs for $2.80 or 12 pcs for $11. . . We strike an even better deal with #BurppleBeyond ! - Buy 3 egg tarts, and get 3 Free, so $5.40 for a whopping box of 6! - or Buy 6 mini egg tarts & get 6 mini for free, $5.60 for a box of 12 mini egg tarts! 😍😍😍 These deals expires 30 Sep so you still have some time to redeem them! . . . @madeleinestarts @burpplebeyondfans #hungryunicornsg #madeleineoriginalportugueseeggtart #portugueseeggtart #portugueseeggtarts #eggtarts #portugueseeggtartsg
