I am told this is a Choco Latte. Essentially you melt that block of chocolate in that bottle of hot milk. Very hipster, but still just kind of tastes of milk.

A simple yet filling meal in the somewhat hipster A Pie Thing. Very satisfactory, though, with generous fillings, yummy gravy and a nice crust!

I must be a horfun purist because I wasn't sold by the crispy, fried strips of horfun. I thought it took away from the flavour of the rice noodle, replacing it with a sense of crunching on something too oily. The beef was amazing, though, tender and melt-in-the-mouth.

They don't skimp on Nutella when you're in Thessaloniki.

Layers of pastry with sweet cream (tasted like there was honey involved). Eat only when you have the appetite and time to enjoy it!

I can never figure out the names of the restaurants here. Thought I was ordering fries with bacon bits and cheese but this was thin slices of potato with actual strips of bacon and a ton of blue cheese sauce. No complaints here.

Back in Thessaloniki, where pancakes are freshly made and Nutella is liberally spread.

Sebastian's take on a Filipino favourite. This is chocolate with glutinous rice ice cream with caramelised anchovies. It sounds weird at first, but actually went really well together; the sweet chocolate with the salty yet sticky anchovies. I only had it once but wish I had more just so the taste could grow on me!

Scotland's known for this, but this is actually the first place I've seen that has it on the menu. It's a strange feeling eating one because the batter makes you feel like you need to chew, but everything is so melted and gooey that it's like chewing nothing in particular (or very thick caramel). Goes well with the ice cream, though!

A scotch egg is a hard-boiled egg wrapped in pork sausage meat and breadcrumbs. Pretty much an egg in a crunchy savoury shell, and this was a damned good one!

Honey-glazed sausages with caramelised onion chutney. I didn't taste much of the honey, but it did go great with the sweet chutney.
