Tteokbokki is the highlight of this hotpot, soft bouncy and just the right amount of chewy. Soup base is spicy yet sweet. Be sure to try their kimchi Mandu dumplings and fried onion pancake! Seating area is small so be prepared to put ur name down on the waitlist during peak hours.

Pretty pastel blue ice cream that’s light and slightly salty. The waffles sure looks green but the matcha taste wasn’t too distinct.

Panna cotta dessert with distinct vanilla flavour and zesty mango centre. Balsamic vinegar and cinnamon on the side. Cosy place hidden in Everton estate serves well plated quality food deserves a return visit

3 course set lunch $48 - mains included chicken breast as an option which sounded and looked pretty boring, but dayum it was so soft and tender makes you think that everyone else have been doing it wrong. The Jap chef says he achieves it by cooking it at a low temperature 🤷‍♀️

Wobbly warm soft egg layered around unagi chunks makes it a perfect complement to unagi rice bowls! Don’t miss this

Thought it would be one of those overpriced hyped up dishes but it turned out to be a pile of savoury goodness. Huge slab of fried chicken with a thin crisp slice of luncheon meat topped w a sunny side up would satisfy meat lovers. It’s almost like having your favorite nasi lemak with a higher meat to rice ratio. Would have been perfect if the sambal chili was a tad spicier.

Confit mushrooms on sourdough bread makes for a wholesome hearty meal. Loved the huge plump juicy mushrooms and the hummus on the side that’s topped with sesame. This place isn’t officially opened yet so they are going on a tipping basis (cash only). Be generous because the food’s good and call to check if the kitchen’s still open (:

This could be it! For $23 bucks this sumo ramen comes topped with oxtail, beef tendon, short ribs and char siew.
Hidden in Waterloo centre next to a mama shop, this bar by the same folks as Tanuki raw and standing sushi bar has happy hour sake at $10 and sushi at $5. Seats are limited so make your reservations first! 😋#burpple

One of those occasions where you spot a dish appearing on multiple neighboring tables and u frantically search the menu to order it. Turned out to be an ingenious combination of crispy tasty fish skin topped with bonito flakes and mayo. There’s almost always a queue during peak hours so be sure to reserve a table. Food service is efficient so hungry tummies will find prompt
comfort here.

Tiong Bahru has yet another cafe but this one has pretty awesome food and ambience.
Tarte flambee $24
Angus beef $26
Smoked salmon burger $21
Scrambled eggs $19
The humble looking and seemingly overpriced organic scrambled eggs was actually my favorite item. Truffle taste is evident and Parmesan cheese made it even better! Worth a return visit.
