Granola Bowls Ok this is probably the most underwhelming & disappointing thing I’ve ordered this year. I was expecting them to at least use homemade soy milk, however, this was literally nutrisoy soy milk with granola and 2 fruits, all of which can be found in any supermarket and prepped at home!! It’s really not worth its price and I would rather make this at home myself and add more variety of fruits.

Granola Bowl (?) Pretty disappointed seeing how this was prepared. Guess there’s really nothing special about this as it’s just granola, a choice of premium fruit topping (blueberry, strawbs, mango etc), a choice of basic fruit topping (grapes, banana, orange etc), choice of base (yoghurt/soy milk/milk) & drizzle. We got the soy milk and they used nutrisoy lol so basically u could just save yourself the trouble and diy it at home w ingredients you can get from the supermarket. To be completely honest, this ISNT worth $6.80 at all. A healthier alternative as compared to bubble tea but meh... Staff was rly friendly tho

For 1-for-1 Granola Bowl (save ~$6.80) Turn to this modest healthy snack stand to quell peckish cravings the next time you visit Funan Mall. The Regular Gran Bowl ($6.80) comes with a base of choice (milk, soy, yogurt), plain granola, a basic fruit and a super fruit each. Burppler Daisy S. recommends going for soy milk to accompany the granola, cherries, blueberries and a drizzle of honey. Wash it down with a zippy Mango Mint ($5.80) smoothie and you're good to go. Umami Pork Burger And Chilli Crab Scrambled Egg Cheeky indeed. The umami pork burger is well seasoned and well cooked. Looks simple but taste great! The curly fries complement the burger well too! The chilli crab scrambled egg is great as well! Not too spicy, slightly sweet and flavourful. Goes well with the toast provided. Great place to visit and chill!

Unique Chilli Crab Scramble Visited after hearing of the hype surrounding their kaya pancakes and chilli crab scramble. The Chilli crab scramble earned our approval for its creative fusion of two classic dishes. It definitely enkindled notes of nostalgia, and was a dangerously addictive companion for the bed of rice underneath! Also ordered their ig-famous kaya pancakes! As a fan of kaya, I enjoyed the thick kaya cream reduction, which reminded me of a union of ondeh-ondeh and caramel. However, I do wish that the pancakes were fluffier, as they felt a little flat, which a pity as the kaya was executed really well.

Smoked Salmon Pasta (S$15) || @Cheeky_AllDay Loved how this linguine was served with a really generous serving of smoked salmon! Lots of fresh lemon was also squeezed into the cream-based sauce, and thank goodness for that - otherwise it may have become too "jerlat" (or too filling). . Overall a satisfying hearty meal at this Neil Road cafe which was previously home to Botanist. Ooh, and I managed to get this at 1-for-1 with @Burpple Beyond! Oyako Pan To be honest, I was semi-skeptical about Grids & Circles as the menu looks super healthy (yes I have a somewhat unhealthy palate)😛 But since I have been overeating this week and there is a one-for-one deal on Burpple Beyond, why not? The Oyako Pan ($15) exceeded my expectations! Tender and juicy chicken thigh cooked in teriyaki sauce, silky scrambled eggs and Asian salad dressed in kombu mayo are served atop English muffins - the mayo and teriyaki sauce complemented each other and it was surprisingly tasty. For records, Oyako Pan is served with mixed greens as well but I replaced mine with a 2nd serving of chips:P My friend had Salmon Ochasuke ($16) which comprises of a pan-fried salmon fillet on top of rice, white bait, puff rice and cherry tomatoes. You have to pour the bacon genmaicha dashi broth over the rice to complete the porridge. The flavours are clean and subtle, but not bland. The cafe, from its decor to utensils to vibes, is comfortable and relaxing. Not a bad choice if you wish to get away from the crowd for a mental and gastronomical detox.

Disappointing Brunch Ordered the French Toast ($15++), DIY Bfast w/ Hashbrown ($19++) and Lavender Latte ($5.50++). Intended to use Burpple Beyond but take note that they have quite a few restrictions, and DIY bfast is excluded from Burpple Beyond as well. One word for all the food: mediocre. DIY bfast was vvvvv meh and tasted like smth you can get anywhere else; not worth the price at all. French toast was nicer but the toast was soggy in itself (i.e. not browned enough either), and ice cream tasted v cheap 😅 Lavender Latte was probably the worst of all. The staff informed me that it would only be lavender and milk, and I would have to add on a shot of espresso if I wanted. I didn’t opt for that and the drink tasted like plain water. It was SO diluted I couldn’t even taste any milk OR lavender at all? Saving grace was that the staff were v nice and still explained to us about the burpple restrictions. But other than that, I would say.... the food isn’t worth the price.
