Chawanmushi with Pen Clam Muscle & Botan Shrimp Head Stock at the Ashino x Masuizumi Sake Dinner. This is seriously amazeballs! Loved the silky egg custard that had an umami-rich flavour that made me think of it as a delicate prawn noodle stock-infused steamed egg. Am I gushing? #yummy #foodporn #burpple

Tiong Bahru // Pasta PRICE: Crabby aglio olio $12, Mushroom carbonara with truffle oil $8 WAITING TIME: Less than 10 minutes So well cooked, so flavorful. Pretty generous with the crabmeat and garlic.

I finally eat you! A different feel eating here - uncles milling around, rushing to ask you to order drinks and delivering fishball noodles to the wrong table. Cheese smell of the carbonara was strong which I like, and the roasted pepper pesto pasta was special, tasted kinda like a heavier, more aromatic bolognese (actually it's roasted peppers and nuts i guess? :D) Heng they ran out of penne, and not their linguine!

Lim Hokkien Fried Mee

Hokkien Fried Mee Only from the late afternoon till night, you would see people constantly dropping by the stall to grab their dinner. Located at the corner coffee shop along Changi Road, you could grab the outdoor seats beside the road and enjoy a plate of Hokkien Fried Mee. Served as a much wet version topped with pork belly, siting, prawn, ikan bilis and pork lard. Remember to mix the like and chilli sauce together. Great combination of ingredients and I definitely enjoyed much for the umami taste.

Kim's Bro I had been wanting to try this since I heard he's the brother of Hokkien mee godfather Kim's. We don't think ours was cooked by him and it was poor. It's wet, but not in the shiok way. The broth was quite briny. The pluses were the chilli sauce and ikan bilis, but these strictly are independent of the noodles.

Char Kuey Tiao ($4) Apparently Lim doesn’t sell their Hokkien mee in the day. :( So I settled for their CKT instead. It was nubbad, with a light wok hei and a good spicy kick. Didn’t enjoy the tiny little prawns used though as it dried up.

Pork Leg Vermicelli Eastern House of Seafood's Pork Legs Vermicelli is a culinary item! 猪脚 米粉 The chef's skillful recreation of this classic dish results in tender pork, flavourful broth that went into nicely cooked vermicelli . A totally enjoyable, comforting experience.

Another Outlet At Wisteria Mall! 🌟pork belly (Spain) don $12.9: I love their description of "less than 1mm thick slice of pork belly". Everything went so well together with the mushroom, onsen egg and sauce. My only gripe is the pork belly is too fatty for me (I prefer less fatty meats!) 🌟 Truffle pot pie $13.9: we were WOW-ed by this when it was served as the portion looked quite big. However, the truffle seems to be just truffle oil poured on top of the cream sauce. Lol dining companion didn't mix the sauce when eating, so I could barely taste much truffle taste afterwards hahaha. The filling was v thinly sliced chicken meat, with some potato, celery, carrots and green peas (that I didn't like eating haha). Will prefer more potato and more chicken meat to be in it 🙊 the pot pie puff pastry was crispy though! Do expect a 20mins wait for this dish! No GST and service charge here

Small Warm Cafe With Great Food! Usually in cafes, there are hits and misses, but I have to say, I’m pretty happy with the food I had here! Would highly recommend the beef cheeks and Kurobuta Pork Chop (dinner menu)! It’s a small cafe, so remember to reserve before coming:)

Claypot Wine Ckn W Ginger And Sesame Oil 17.7 Grabfood Think there's a 10% markup The ckn was tender, q mild. Good thing is that it's boneless and quality ckn meat(prob thigh) but the mountain of ginger slices more than made up for the convenience of deboning. Not to mention it covers the fact that there isn't that much chicken

Chilli Crab Ordered Chilli Crab, Black Pepper Crab & 2 sets of fried mantous ($177.63 incl delivery) from @tpymellbenseafood! 🦀 The sauce of their Chilli Crab leaned towards the sweeter side - more like tomato crab! 🍅 We would have liked it to be spicier! 🤣

Had fun customizing my own pasta at @PastaMeatSauce. As the name suggests, you can design your own pasta (angel hair, spaghetti, linguine, penne), topping (from chicken to fish or seafood) and sauce (cream, truffle oil, tom yum cream, aglio olio, tomato, tomato cream). . I had Spaghetti with Tom Yum Cream sauce topped with smoked salmon. This tom yum cream sauce is their best seller. Everything was on point. If you're a tom yum lover, you must try this!! 😋😋😋

A hidden gem located at East Village! @pastameatsauce may not have a pretty food presentation but they serve some decent good quality pasta and risotto! Crab Crawl & Lobster Risotto ($19.80), rich creamy lobster bisque risotto packed with crab crawl. Thai Tom Yam Mixed Seafood Pasta ($12.00), fresh seafood with thick Tom Yum Gravy Truffle fries ($8.00), love that they used those very thin fries which are so crispy. #pastameatsauce #sgpasta #sgtrufflefries #burpple #burpplesg

Chicken Rice, Hawker/Kopitiam
If you have been craving rice balls from Malacca, here's the shop that will satisfy those cravings!! The rice balls is served in a plate and is rolled into a huge tennis ball size ball. The texture is sticky and clumpy. I guess it has to be like this if not it's not gonna stay in shape! This is just chicken rice but rolled into a ball la. Does not amaze me at all .. coz i still prefer a normal plate of rice. 😅

| 🐣 2 Decades & I’m eating Chicken Rice Ball again。... ~ · Half Steamed Chicken w 4 Chicken Rice Ball - $16 · Maybe abit pricy for a half chicken but their chicken is smooth and tender, portion is huge too, especially their rice. Ordering 2 traditional chicken rice ball per pax is more than sufficient. It cost 50 cents per ball. But strangely the soup they gave is peanut soup instead of the usual chicken soup, so there’s slight disappointment. It’s been two decades since I last ate an chicken rice ball. It’s always great to see traditional cuisine carried down · Good Year Local Hainanese Chicken Rice Ball

Buttercream Pumpkin Prawn Ball Trying another dish at our fav Zi char place. This is another secretly salted egg dish that they have. When we ordered, we had the idea of prawn meat balls and was surprised when whole prawns came. Was a bit disappointed when I ate it because the sauce doesn't get onto the meat. After that, the bf told me that I should suck on the prawn first before eating the meat. That really made the difference! Yum

Red Grouper Steamboat My family loves the pumpkin pork ribs here! The pork ribs is coated with a pumpkin sauce with salted egg secretly hidden inside. The grouper was really fresh! And the soup was really heartwarming. Yam ring is yammy with a nice crunchy exterior 👍
