This is some comfort food level stuff right here. Kyodai has got some solid donburis, and my Favourite was the Furikake Butter Beef. The only thing about Kyodai is that it's a small kiosk at the moment, so there's around 5 or 6 seats available. Even then, plenty of people queuing up for a bite, so you know it's good!

Salmon Aburi Don First time trying from this eateries and turns out to be great. There are generous amount of slightly charred Salmon and Aburi slices with the rice shaped in a circle underneath all of it. They had $2 off for all the don so needed to pay $14.90 for it. The price state is net prices with no hidden cost.

Uma Uma Ramen 18.51+(1 For 1, Delivery) Soup was q oily on the top, and thick despite it not seeming like a usual white tonkotsu. Maybe it's a tonkotsu shoyuu? Anyway it was alright but the noodles don't travel very well, it turns quite stiff but it's better once u leave it in the hot soup to soak for a while. Quite a generous amount of ingredients though, esp considering the 1 for 1 deal. The chili paste was not bad tho, mainly chili flakes but it does change the whole taste.

Shiok maki 😍 Finally had my craving satisfied!! Went on a Friday night and the queue was so long that we decided to queue for sushiro but ended up waiting almost an hour which was even longer :-( decided to go for late lunch on Sat and waited for about 15 mins. Loooove the shiok maki $18.80+ for the eel one. It’s sinful but really so so good. Decided to be adventurous and try the pidan maki $16.80+ but didn’t really like it. Another must order which I forgot to take pic is the salmon fish head soup (sake atama soup $10+). The portion is so big and the warm soup just makes the meal more hearty. Spent about $27 per pax as we ordered agedashi tofu $5+ as well which could have been skipped given that there was tofu and vege in the soup. A must visit, no service charge!

Yummy Sushi Rolls (with a price tag) Tucked in a quiet corner of Far East Plaza, the sushi bar serves sashimi and sushi at slightly premium prices. Pictured here are 3 sushi rolls served on a common plate that would be about approx $62 after service charge and GST. The sushi rolls were however, quite delicious and fresh.

salmon don (22++) sushi bar is truly a hidden gem found in far east plaza! salmon on the don was fresh and thick cut, with perfectly cooked japanese rice underneath. service was excellent as well, sushi bar is my go-to for birthday celebrations! 🤍

House Pour Sake We saw outside that there was happy hour for sake on Mondays to Thursdays and we decided to give it a go as $5++ for a cup is relatively cheap for alcohol! Sake was very light although the taste of alcohol was much more prominent than that in other sake drinks, which may or may not be to everyone's liking. We also did not ask the staff which sake drink was this, hence we are not even sure if the drink is from the hakushika distillery.

Salmon Sashimi (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) These insanely thick-cut slabs (or chunks, for that matter) will set you back for $16 a plate, but the rich fattiness and melt-in-the-mouth texture of the fresh salmon slices was to die for! The sweet mirin/soy sauce marinate makes it even more decadent though it can get quite surfeiting due to the thickness, so it's best shared with your friends!⁣

Chicken Curry Katsu (⭐️⭐️⭐️) The Chicken Katsu Curry is also decent with a crispy chicken cutlet and robust curry sauce, though a larger portion & more veggies other than the sad carrot smidgens would have made the dish even better.

Mentai Don (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Can't go wrong with their Salmon Mentaiko Don either! The salmon slices were well seared on the outside while slightly raw on the underside, and the smoky char on the mentaiko sauce elevated the umami flavours.

Unagi Liver Order the donburi which include Ungai Liver. It tasted like squid to me which I would say it is not bad and something you don't see in a restaurant often. The Umaki egg is good but the Unagi is being chopped into pieces which I hope that it remain intact in a piece instead. Generally a good meal.

HITSUMABUSHI Unagi is tender with slight chewy bite; thinly coated with unagi sauce & charcoal-grilled to perfection with smoky taste & slight crisp from the sauce; sat on top a bed of soft & fluffy Japanese rice; came with chopped spring onions, freshly grated wasabi, yellow pickled radish, seaweed soup & a pot of light & flavorful broth for the rice; satisfying bowl of unagi rice worth a try..

Unagi Donburi Unagi Donburi Feature thicker sliced chunks unagi, which allows to taste the natural flavour of the eel meat more. Every bite is heaven to bite into the beautifully char smoky sweet skin & then the tender plumpness within. Highly recommended! Best. Unagi. Ever.
