Kazoku Generous portions of sashimis Will definitely visit again Very worth it with the burpple deal

super recco!! have been wanting to try this place for a while now & finally went down to try today. was initially put off as it was a bar-type of place so i didn't know if it would really be good. however!!!! i was so pleasantly surprised. first the staff were so attentive & helpful! and the star of the night for real. this bowl was $29.90 & each type of sashimi had FIVE SLICES (as opposed to 3-4 from most places). the sashimi was tasty although defo not like omakase/jap restaurants type of level but rly rly enjoyable! they had tuna, salmon, swordfish, scallop, octopus and tamago. my only feedback is that the wasabi could have been less artificial. there was no ++ and after 1 for 1, we only paid $29.90 for TWO big bowls! 🙌🏻 ps: there's happy hour promos every single day w some days being soju night & housepour spirits night (1 for 1 too). had a look at their christmas cocktail menu which looked q yummy too! would defo be back to try their drinks on a non-weeknight 😉

Chicken don Exceptional value with burpple 1- for -1! Their dons leans slightly towards sweet tastebuds though. Good place to zone out with a drink

One for one salad bowls One of my go to healthy bowl. They have a one for one deal for lull periods which is go worth — $11 for two very hearty bowls. My go to bowl orders is the portobello mushroom (crusted portobello with cheese) which is so juicy. With pasta & broccoli (mala flavoured) & corn cucumber salsa and the carrots or soft boiled egg.

Yummy food Recommended place to have dinner. Food is delicious and services are good. Staff is patient to wait for me to make a decision on the various options available.

Gelato & Iced Coffee The toffeenut latte gelato from Tucela Gelato offers a delightful blend of creamy sweetness with a hint of nutty richness, perfectly complemented by the robust and refreshing tall iced Americano. Enjoying these treats against the backdrop of Tucela's cool pink interior wall adds an extra layer of charm to the experience, making it both visually and gastronomically satisfying.

Chrysanthemums Wolfberry This small gelato shop hide in this quiet neighbourhood at Boon Keng, a short walk from MRT station. Offers different flavours of gelato to choose from. If you are a Burpple Beyond subscriber then you would entitled to one for one deal here.

Roasted pistachio Their pistachio gelato was nutty but didn’t particularly stand out to me. I felt like the flavour was pretty one dimensional (not sure whether roasted was supposed to be a feature) and i got bored of it half way in. The location is also pretty inaccessible unless you’re driving. We walked almost 2km from Potong Pasir to get here

Twister Thanks Burpple for the sweet treat. I’m back again to enjoy their twister with fruit toppings. Refreshing frozen yogurt paired well with some fruit pieces such as the kiwi and watermelon. I also added lychee boba at the middle and they popped every time you bite.

Signature Twister Ordered the signature twisters (fashion) which is essentially the DIY version with 2 toppings and 1 sauce ▪️ Natural Yoghurt + Dutch cookies + fruits + Belgian dark chocolate sauce ▪️ Coconut Yoghurt + Dutch cookies + kiwi + Dalgona Coffee Sauce First time trying the dalgona coffee sauce and we were quite surprised by its intensity. On the other hand, the coconut flavour in the yoghurt is much more subtle.

Papadum I didn't know they're related to New Mahamoodiya. They've opened for quite long here, often seemed quiet, yet has good reviews. This was complimentary but wow one of the nicest papadums I've tried. Probably because it's freshly fried. Thinner than others though.

Garlic Naan I didn't know they're related to New Mahamoodiya. They've opened for quite long here, often seemed quiet, yet has good reviews. This naan was acceptable but I'd say below the average of all naans. Slightly under-flavoured and more rubbery than fluffy.

Chicken Tikka Masala I didn't know they're related to New Mahamoodiya. They've opened for quite long here, often seemed quiet, yet has good reviews. This is one of their signatures. Average imo. Okay sauce and ordinary chicken.

Chicken Cutlet with Swiss Raclette Cheese Last hurrah with them before closure. Unfortunately this signature did not live up to its reputation. I thought three slabs of meat and special cheese justified the higher price, but they're small and simple, and the latter only offered visuals, nothing for the taste. Worse, the baby potatoes were lousy and the house braised sauce was negligible.

Crab Roll Last hurrah with them before closure. This signature was really good. The sensational crabmeat paired with fragrant croissant. The truffle shoestring fries were also superb.

Salted egg yolk chicken burger Salted egg yolk chicken burger came with two (!!) pieces of juicy chicken cutlet and a generous serving of creamy salted egg yolk sauce. Also had the slightly sweet taste of the Tze char oats that paired well with it. Delightful!

2 for 2 cocktails 2 for 2 cocktails thanks to burpple beyond. Cocktails made to each person’s choice of poison. Super yummy and value for money!

Poet's Poison Love this friendly little Whisky bar and this cocktail with Robert Burns Malt Whisky and Raspberry Vodka Liqueur in the test tube that you can add for additional poison. A cocktail for those who like it just a teeny bit sweet whilst still being a strong drink.

Harry's 3.5⭐ As usual, ordered the mushroom flatbread as I have ordered this ample of times whenever I went to Harry's. It's a dish which you will never go wrong. However the flatbread today is exactly crispy, slightly on the softer side. WB chose the burger, patty is juicy which is above average but there's definitely better burgers around. Western Otah Cutlet Rice The portions were sufficient and after the promotions, it’s very worth it to come here.

Black Kut Teh Lion Mane Hotpot ($16.90) I use 1 for 1 burpple voucher for main dish to redeem. I opt out noodle for side dish. But I felt that not much "pepper" taste as opt out for less spicy in flavour. They give a lot of ingredients inside hotpot such as lettuce, fungi mushroom, lion mane, tofu and sliced carrots. I did enjoy the experience for mini hotpot while they cooked ingredients to the boil. Their you tiao was quite crispy and can dip into the soup broth.

Pesto pasta Not a fan of the pesto sauce, tastes too nutty and not really of Basil. Also not a fan of the mushroom used and it’s a little too thick. Just not a fan of this pasta — will probably order another dish next time. However, with burpple deal - got two mains for$20.65 which is a great deal. Food portion is on the small side too. Especially for the location of this place. Will come back
