Shop was minimalist in design, setting the tone for the food that was to arrive. We have ordered 2 salmon ikura don ($25), via the burpple beyond 1-for-1 deal. Portion was not as big as expected but quality of the ikura and salmon was pretty good. Worth it for the burpple beyond deal. πŸ‘

Got a smoked salmon rosti ($23) and the angus beef burger ($26) via the 1-for-1 burpple beyond deal. 😊 superb value!

Placed in a quaint little spot along the famed Keong Saik street (Lonely Planet 2017 Top 10 Asian travel Destination), this is the place to be for a nice weekend chill for both couples and family dates. The old school charm of wooden table and chairs coupled with modern design and equipment make for a truly interesting concept, only eclipsed by the freshly made, new concept bakery products and coffee available here.

Traditional Kopi-Cs are brewed with 100% Arabian coffee beans with fresh milk, priced reasonably unlike the $6 coffee you see at those coffee places around town. Bakery products range from Gula Melaka Cake to Rye breads to Milo croissants, all of which look absolutely delectable.

We shared these among 3 pax:
- their signature bread Sor Hei ($3.2), a black and white Danish pastry, with chocolate chips
- a sardine cheese bun ($2.5), filled with chili tomato sardines, onions, mozzarella cheese & French dough
- 2 iced kopi c kosong (2 x $3.3)
- 1 kopi c kosong ($2.8)

& will highly recommend the Sor Hei and ice kopi c kosong for a tea time snack! Hurry come while stocks last. We managed to order the last Sor Hei when we were there abt 2.30pm on a weekend. The next batch of Sor Hei will only be ready in an hour's time! πŸ‘πŸ‘

How is it possible for a vegetarian dish to taste this GOOD? Will highly recommend all to come by to taste it for yourself! :) if you are ever here, please order the U-Mian Dry. It comes with a soup with lots of spinach, mushroom and tofu + dry u-mian with ikan bilis, dark sauce and PESTO!! A fusion dish that is healthy, tasty and extremely value for money. πŸ‘

Nestled in a corner of Paya Lebar Square, this inconspicuous small cafe serves good coffee. πŸ‘ We ordered a panini tea set ($13.50) which consists of a ham and cheese panini + a sea salt caramel latte.

We had seafood tom yum soup ($8), mixed vegetables ($6), fried pork with garlic ($8), stirred fried glass noodles ($6) and Thai ice milk tea ($2.80) for sharing among 2 pax. The food wasn't particularly outstanding, but it was well priced and value for money. πŸ‘

Need a break from work? Come here to enjoy a good cup of coffee! πŸ’ͺ

Side note: I will probably order Lunar's truffle fries the next time I'm here. Was so tempted to do so since the truffle smell was so strong from afar!! 😍

Perfect dish on a hot sweltering day. 😍 I think this dish will be a hit among the office ladies as it's light and healthy.

As for the men, I will highly recommend the truffle beef yakiniku don as its portion is slightly larger than the cold truffle somen.

We had the chicken katsu don ($5.80), salmon mentai don ($8.80) and the signature donya maki ($5.80) for sharing among 2 pax. Overall, the Japanese dons and maki were average and did not "wow" me. But, I would still want to applaud the young Hawkers for bringing affordable jap food to the heartlands. Maybe they can consider adding sous vide or ramen egg to the don set for added flavour. πŸ‘ #BurppleMajulahMakan

Side note: for affordable jap food, do also try Don @ 30 foch road.

I am not a vegetarian, but this definitely won't be my last visit to Veganburg. 😍

A meal here consists of a veganburg + broccoli or seaweed fries + a healthy drink.

We had the avocado beetroot burg meal ($13.80), creamy shrooms burg meal ($12.80) and mustang relish burg meal ($11.80) for sharing among 4 pax. Will recommend the creamy shrooms and mustang relish burgs for those who prefer savoury burgers. The avocado beetroot burg falls slightly short in taste, but I think it's the healthiest burg among the 3.

Can healthy food taste good? The answer is YES when you visit Wafuken! The chefs here cook the meats (including salmon) using sous-vide. Hence, the meats taste really soft and tender. For choice of protein, I will highly recommend either the salmon or the oyster-blade steak! Rem to add the onsen egg for the extra oomph! 😍

Side note: I really love the cucumber seaweed salad too!
