It was a very underwhelming meal with subpar standard compared to it’s classy ambience. The $2.90 buttery rice was stale (hard rice grains and chunky) and the sambal brinjal was very bland (no taste other than spicy) and horrifyingly drenched in oil. Only the Nonya chap chai was decent but it also left us thirsty and we suspect it might be MSG-filled. We had Peranakan food at different places and this place really do not make the cut. Overall a disappointing experience.

Went there about a month ago. Got a cafe latte. The coffee was legit, but the service was really really terrible. We bought a coffee to share (because first time here & just drinking for fun) and we were told off by a staff, that we are not allowed to dine in if we share a drink. There was no queue outside, and no signage to specify that no drinks sharing allowed. Coffee was real legit. But really horrible experience with the service. Will never go back to this outlet again.
