After hearing endless raves about this from my dining partners in crime I was mucho excited to try this but alas, the marrow had an off-puttingly strong varnish-like or aniseed flavour to it, I couldn't tell what. I'm willing to give this a second go the next time on the chance that this was an off batch.

Taste: 2/5

Sweetened, ice-blended espresso. Definitely a strong cuppa that is lightly sweetened so it's a pleasant treat if you are looking for something different from your usual cup of coffee to shake things up a little.

Usually not a fan of fried bee hoon, but the one from JB Ah Meng really impressed me. It had a wonderful wok hei, super fragrant, and was super tasty. It is quite sparse on the ingredients, served only with a bit of shrimp, egg and small pieces of squid. However that's not exactly a bad thing since the star is really the bee hoon itself. Must order!
