Find this gem in Seah Im Food Centre. Order their dcadent Ayam Penyet ($5), where a succulent, deep fried chicken thigh comes buried in an avalanche of crispy batter bits and is served with sour-spicy sambal balado chilli sauce. Pro-tip: Add a dollar for extra chicken — you won't regret it!

Decided to try the food at this place cos we were nearby the area. The food portion is very little and total bill for 2 pax was $30 not worth it in my opinion. Ambience is nice tho

The food is pretty good! We tried the beef boat noodles and the Tom yum noodles! I love the texture of the noodles. I don’t eat spicy food and the beef noodles was slightly spicy whereas the Tom yum is not as spicy as I thought it would be compared to other Thai food.

Overall pretty decent Thai food! Atmosphere is nice and the automated check out counter make it easy for ordering.

Personally I prefer Thai express. From the 2 dish we ate, the food here is on the sweeter side, I prefer food that are on the tastier/salty side.

We ate at shin minori on a Saturday noon! We did not make any reservation but was really fortunate to have gotten a seat! The restaurant is super crowded and almost 90% of the people eating that day made reservation! So please make sure you book a reservation before u visit!

Overall, the 1 for 1 lunch buffet is pretty worth tho in terms of the taste, I’ve had better buffets such as Keisuke@Orchard central! The Jap buffet has a fair amount of variety. We paid around $60 for the buffet for 2 pax inclusive of GST and everything else.

Starbucks recently launched a new drink called shiok ah chino! I got a venti size for it and it costs $9.90.

I would say this drink is a nay for me both in terms of taste and price point! 👎🏻 I still prefer a good old java chip. The shiok ah chino taste a bit bland, taste sweet and on the milkier side. The ingredients in the shiok ah chino does not taste complementary and taste like a stand-alone entity.

Ate at the tree cafe and used the 1 for 1 entertainer deal! The food taste very home cooked! Nothing special just that it’s v cheap (with the 1 for 1). The atmosphere of the restaurant is also pretty chill and nice for hangouts! If you are particular about the taste of the food, I would say Aston is a better comparable option in terms of price point.

The English breakfast is good! The aglio olio was too peppery for me! The crispy chicken is decent too but the size of chicken is inconsistent - sometimes smaller, sometimes bigger ( personally wouldn’t choose salad as sides, wedges is good )

I ordered the black tea sea salt macchiato and my Friend ordered the matcha one! I think it’s pretty good for a change. I ordered 70% sugar for the black tea and I find it a little too sweet! My Friend ordered 20%/25% sugar ( I can’t remember) and it made the matcha a bit too bitter for my liking.

I recommend the black tea sea salt drink!

For the pearl topping,we both ordered the honey pearls which I thought was good! I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy this drink maybe if I’m thirsty and I saw a hollin, I might buy it hahahaha I still prefer koi green tea macchiato 😛

Decided to try out crossings cafe cos we were near the area and it was on burrple beyond 1 for 1 hehe. The food turn out really good, way better than expected. No wonder the reviews were good. It’s also a plus that crossings cafe is a social enterprise and all proceeds go to charity! 👍🏻👍🏻 highly recommended, comparable to swensens

Dishes that we tried:

Fish and Chips: crust of thin and crispy and the fish taste just right 4/5

Chilli crab pasta: flavourful😊 4/5

Truffle fries: would not recommend. Too expensive and the truffle taste is light 3/5

Both of the donburi we tried were Super good! Rakki bowl is very generous with their salmon and beef servings (: initially, I thought the small sized bowl seems too little but after I ate it, I think the portion is just nice. Highly recommended (:

The place has a nice atmosphere too. We came around Saturday lunch time and it was not too crowded (:

Unlike what the other reviews mentioned, I don’t think the food is overly salty hahaha I actually think it’s pretty goood (: would visit even if there’s no burrple 1 for 1. The noodles are nicer when you add vinegar 👍🏻

I forgot to take a nice picture but here’s a proof that I ate at kajiken 🙌🏻

10/10 highly recommended! Had the 1 for 1 salmon sashimi, their Chirashi Don as well as an ebi roll (I can’t remember what’s the name of the roll but it has salmon on top). Hahaha the roll was too good I forgot to take a picture :) The food is superbbbbb, will definitely come again 😍😍

Though the food is slightly more pricey than wasabi tei which is located at Far East plaza, I think food wise, I prefer the sushi bar. If you are just craving for some salmon sashimi, I suggest wasabi tei for its price point 👍🏻 cheers!
