This udon is HEAVILY full of mentai. (Literally) I was so full. I must say, the udon was surprisingly good. It was perfectly boiled, chewy but not doughy. Tried the cod fish tempura as well and it was a thin slice of cod that wasn’t supremely fresh so there was only the slightest hint of cod. But I guess for something so cheap, I can’t be expecting fish and chips worthy fish haha. Definitely will be back to try their plain udon (mentai is too gelat for me)

When my friend told me about this duck ramen in HV, I KNEW IT IN MY BLOOD THAT I HAD TO TRY. I’m a pretty big duck fan hehe. I’m pretty familiar with the Keisuke group and I especially adore their lobster ramen. This duck ramen was simply wow. Firstly, the soup was thick with duck flavour (literally) and they give this mini garnish separately for a spicy and sour kick (yuzu pepper sauce). They also had these really succulent slices of duck meat that melted in my mouth. What I really enjoy about the Keisuke ramen experiences is the ability to choose the consistency of my noodles, the richness of my soup and if I want to exclude anything. Will be back for more ;)

I was actually a bit hesitant to try this truffle chiraishi I mean truffle and chiraishi sound good individually but together??? So I took my first mouth with an open mind but man was I blown away. Firstly, that price is not something you see regularly. Secondly, the ordering was so fun (plus they recommend you base on what you like - scary). And of course, the food, was not disappointing. Really hope to come back to try their mentai chiraishi and their hokkaido beef ramen 😝

Really enjoyed the Ro Ppong-Roje which is a tomato cream jjampong served with mussels and prawns topped with mozerella cheese and mentaiko. Some may find this dish heavy but wow you will be surprised at the explosion of aromatic herb infused sweetness and tanginess. However, it seemed a little bit like eating pasta with an added chewiness to the noodles that can sometimes make you feel a bit ‘gelat’. Priced at $17.80, I say bring a friend to enjoy this with as the noodle portions can be pretty large.
