I’ve read many burpple reviews on Prawn Bestador and decided to give it a try. Personally, I would recommend the Curry Chicken Debal which has more flavour than the Bestador.

We love the sauce but the prawn isn’t as fresh as we thought it will be.

Here comes our review on their best dish (The Great Debal)

💕 love the flavours and spices used for the debal, you can taste the acidity of the spices. It was so lovely but it wasn’t suitable for our tastebuds as Chinese / Asians. But we love how everything place in the bowls have their own characters (e.g the fried ginger, cabbage, shaved potatos)

Personally, if you’re visiting this restaurant, you really got to try this.

We chanced upon this listing because Beyond doesn’t have a lot of restaurants available on Christmas Day (25th Dec 2020). Since our staycation was really near this restaurant, we decided to give it a go!

We ordered two different dishes as this is our first time with Eurasian food. We did a lot of research before deciding what to eat. Personally, we felt that the flavours were too strong for our tastebuds but if you love strong flavours, 10/10 would recommend. Otherwise, our rating for the both dishes collectively will be 8/10.

1. Chuan Chuan 🐟🌶 (if you love the sour flavour, you will love this dish)

2. Quentin’s best curry chicken 🐔🥔 debal (a reduced base which gives it so much flavour)

3. Ala-carte Steam Rice for $1.50

4. Fish crackers with traditional chillies

(P/s, read our review on the debal)

Apart from the Prawn, we ordered the beef and pork s’more since my partner really wanted to try the beef.

Personally, we were not a fan of the sauce (it’s slightly peppery and on the contrary, the meat texture was the highlight)

If you’re looking for something to elevate your tastebuds, we would recommend to pair it with Chuan Chuan or the Curry Chicken Debal.

Rating: 8/10

Please do support this restaurant, it really serves really decent Eurasian food at an affordable price with Burpple Beyond!

Superblicious. Ordered Medium and Medium Rare, tried both cuts and definitely giving it a 9.5/10, 0.5 for the portion. 🤭 definitely worth giving it a try and would come back again for the steak

So my partner and I went back to back as we are on a mission for the best steak hunt. This was a back-to-back steak day with Homeground Grill & Bar @ Boon Keng.

Personally for both us, we would prefer Homeground Grill & Bar because of the texture and the smell of the beef.

If you guys would like to try the Sirlion Steak, would recommend the Demi-Glacé with Medium or Medium Rare. Will come back to try the Ribeye for better comparison
